Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh iklim sekolah dan kompetensi pedagogik terhadap efektivitas Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Bhakti I. Jenis penelitian yang dignakan adalah penelitian korelasional, dengan menggunakan regresi ganda. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 24 guru yang mengajar di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Bhakti I, dengan menggunakan teknik kuota. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa besarnya pengaruh iklim sekolah terhadap efektivitas sekolah sebesar 0,982 dengan koefisen determinasi sebesar 81,9%. Besarnya pengaruh kompetensi pedagogik terhadap efektivitas sekolah sebesar 0,938 dengan koefisen determinasi sebesar 86,5%. Serta terdapat pengaruh antara iklim sekolah, dan kompetensi pedagogik secara bersama-sama terhadap efektivitas sekolah. Pola persamaan tersebut digambarkan dalam persamaan Y = - 0,065 + 0,421X1 + 0.595X2. Koefisien determinasi yang diperoleh sebesar 90%, artinya iklim sekolah dan kompetensi pedagogik bisa menjelaskan efektivitas secara bersama-sama sebesar 90% dan selebihnya dapat dijelaskan dengan variabel lain yang tidak dibahas dalam penelitian ini. Upaya untuk meningkatkan efektivitas sekolah adalah sekolah harus menjalin kerjasama atau net working dengan pihak–pihak lain, memperhatikan keberhasilan akademik dan non akademik peserta didik, kepala sekolah juga harus melakukan pengawasan secara kontinyu saat guru-guru menjalankan tugasnya, menciptakan hubungan yang baik antara guru dengan guru, guru mampu mengidentifikasikan kesulitan belajar anak, dan memberikan kesempatan bagi para peserta didik untuk mengembangkan potensinya.

Abstract

Meskipun tua dan jauh dari pusat kota, SMP Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli Utara yang dipimpin oleh Ibu Sariadi Telaumbanua, S.Pd mampu tampil sebagai sekolah unggulan di Kota Gunungsitoli. Keberhasilan tersebut tak terlepas dari peranan kepala sekolah. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas kepemimpinan Ibu Sariadi Telaumbanua, S.Pd, yang dikaitkan dengan teori dari Komariah dan Triatna serta Ohio State University. Berdasarkan kedua teori tersebut, muncullah ketiga subfokus: Gaya Kepemimpinan Transformasional, Keterampilan Manajerial, dan Perilaku Kepemimpinan. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif deskriptif, serta melibatkan sampel sebanyak 16 responden yang dipilih secara purposive dari populasi berjumlah 32 orang (kepala sekolah dan guru-guru). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Keseluruhan data menunjukkan bahwa Ibu Sariadi Telaumbanua, S.Pd merupakan kepala sekolah yang menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional, memiliki keterampilan manajerial yang mumpuni, dan menunjukkan perilaku kepemimpinan yang dapat menyeimbangkan perhatian kepada tugas serta bawahan. Singkatnya, Ibu Sariadi Telaumbanua, S.Pd merupakan kepala sekolah dengan kepemimpinan yang efektif. Dari hasil penelitian ini diharapkan agar: (a) Para kepala sekolah memiliki gaya kepemimpinan transformasional, keterampilan manajerial yang mumpuni, dan perilaku kepemimpinan yang dapat menyeimbangkan perhatian kepada tugas serta bawahan; (b) Para guru meningkatkan kompetensi melalui program perkuliahan; (c) Pemerintah mencurahkan perhatian lebih pada sarana pendidikan; (d) Sesama peneliti mengadakan penggalian lebih mendalam.

Abstract

Fredy Hidayat.Cs. Correlation between Job Satisfaction and Achievement Motivation with Teacher’s Performance in Kinderfield Primary School. Thesis. Magister of Educational Administration/Management Program, Indonesian Christian University, Jakarta, 2018. This research aims to determine the correlation between job satisfaction and achievement motivation with teacher’s performance, with the Job Satisfaction (X1) and Achievement Motivation (X2) as independent variable and Teacher’s Performance (Y) as dependent variable. The research was conducted in 5 centers of Kinderfield Primary School : Cirebon, Bekasi, Sunter, Simprug and Depok . The research population and sample was all teachers who teach in Kinderfield Primary School which totally 100 teachers by using saturation sampling technique. The research instrument was a questionnaire eligible of validity and reliability with Likert model which measures 1-4. Analysis of the data was using simple correlation analysis, multiple correlation and multiple regression at alpha significance level 0.05 by using SPSS 20th version. Based on data analysis, the correlation coefficient between X1 and Y is 0,435 and significant at 0.05 level; the correlation coefficient between X2 and Y is 0,690 and significant at 0.05 level; while the correlation coefficient between X1 and X2 with Y is 0,735 and significant at 0.05 level. Based on regression analysis, the regression equation between X1 and Y is Ý = 72,684 + 0,396 X1, the regression equation between X2 and Y is Ý = 35,882 + 0,966 X2, and the multiple regression equation between X1 and X2 with Y is Ý = 21,636 + 0,241 X1 + 0,864 X2. The results of the research are : 1) there is a positive and significant relationship between job satisfaction and teacher’s performance ; 2) there is a positive and significant relationship between achievement motivation and teacher’s performance, and 3) there is a positive and significant relationship between job satisfaction and achievement motivation simultaneously with teacher’s performance

Abstract

The Correlation Between Management of Academic Supervision, Achievement Motivation with the Teacher’s Performance at PSKD Senior High School Jakarta. This study aims to determine the correlation between management of academic supervision, achievement motivation with the teacher’s performance at PSKD Senior High School Jakarta, with the management of academic supervision as independent variable (X1), achievement motivation (X2) and dependent variabel teacher’s performance (Y). This study was conducted in PSKD Senior High School Jakarta from May to June 2018. The research method is used for correlational research method. Data collection techniques use a questionnaire with Likert scale which measures 1-5. This research is represented by 80 of PSKD Senior High School teachers Jakarta as respondents. The techniques used are a simple correlation analysis, multiple correlation and multiple regression at alpha significance level at 0.05. This study concluded that Hypothesis 1 shows a positive and significant relationship between management of academic supervision and teacher’s performance with a correlation coeficient of ry1 = 0,529, linear regression equation Ŷ = 2,42 + 0,45X1, tcount = 5.51 is greater than ttable = 1,67 and the coefficient of determination r2 = 0,28. Hypothesis 2 shows a positive and significant relationship between achievement motivation and teacher’s performance with a correlation coeficient of ry2 = 0,51, linear regression equation Ŷ = 2,36 + 0,46X2, tcount = 5,20 is greater than ttable = 1,67 and the coefficient of determination r2 = 0,26. Hypothesis 3 shows a positive and significant relationship between management of academic supervision, achievement motivation simultaneously and teacher’s performance with a correlation coeficient of ry12 = 0,65, linear regression equation Ŷ = 1,22 + 0,36X1 + 0,36X2, Fcount = 28,77 is greater than Ftable = 3,12 and the coefficient of determination r2 = 0,41. From the research results it can be concluded that the teacher’s performance at PSKD Senior High School Jakarta can be enchanced by improving the management of academic supervision and achievement motivation.

Abstract

Behavior or action by teachers in primary schools can be used as a strategy to improve the performance of elementary school teachers in Pantai Cermin sub-district. This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation and academic supervision on teaching performance of elementary school teachers in PaNtai Cermin sub-district. This study uses regression analysis tool. The sample in this study were 35 teachers from 100 teachers using simple random sampling technique. The results showed that work motivation and academic supervision affect teacher performance can be described with the equation y = 0.42 + 0.44X1 + 0.43X2. Work motivation and academic supervision together can explain teacher performance by 51%. Efforts to improve teachers‟ performance include providing equal opportunities for teachers to attend training, improving payroll systems and increasing teachers' salaries according to regional minimum wages, building close relationships among teachers and principals and cultivating deliberations in the school environment and continuous guidance
