Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to improve critical thinking skills of college students through scientific approach in Learning Neuroscience. This research was classroom action research. This action research was carried out in 2 cycles. Every cycle consists of four steps: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The collecting data technique used observation which was conducted at the first semester year 2017/2018. The subjects of this research were 36 college students of PG PAUD study programs of third semester year 2017/2018 who are taking Neuroscience course. The result showed that critical thinking skills in the first cycle has average 78,80, then in the second cycle improve into (average 84,50). The result indicated that scientific approach effectively improved critical thinking skills of college students’ in Neuroscience Course, thus graduated students of PG PAUD become professional teachers of PG PAUD in conducting teaching activity.Keywords: scientific approach, critical thinking

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan sosial siswi SMP Negeri 17 kota Bengkulu. Metode penelitian ini adalah studi deskriptif, dimana bentuk datanya berupa deskripsi kuantitatif, dengan menggunakan statistik deskiptif. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan skala likert. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi SMP Negeri 17 Kota Bengkulu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterampilan sosial siswa baik menurut jenis kelamin, pendidikan orangtua, dan tempat tinggal ada pada kategori sedang. Hasil ini menyarankan bahwa keterampilan sosial siswa SMP Negeri 17 Kota Bengkulu perlu ditingkatkan. Kata Kunci: Studi Deskriptif, ketrampilan sosial siswa.  DESCRIPTIVE STUDY OF SOCIAL SKILLS OF STUDENTS OF STATE SMPN 17 CITIES BENGKULU CITY ABSTRACTThis research ained to describe the social skills of students in the SMPN 17 cities of Bengkulu City. Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the effect of open-ended approach toward the critical thinking ability of Mathematical of students in Vocational High School. Type of study is an experimental study with a quasi-experimental design were implemented in SMK N 1 Central Bengkulu in the first semester of the school year 2016/2017 the study population was all students of Class X and Class X sample is ATP-2 as the experimental class and Class X-ATP 1 as the control class. The results showed that there are significant open-ended approach to the critical thinking ability of mathematical (p<0,05). In addition, based on the value of rsquare , open-ended approach gives considerable influence equal to 30.8% on the students critical thinking skills mathematically.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan aktivitas siswa pada pembelajaran matematika menggunakan media kubus satuan pada siswa kelas VB SD Negeri 81 Kota Bengkulu dan mendeskripsikan penggunaan media kubus satuan yang tepat sehingga dapat meningkatkan aktivitas siswa pada pembelajaran matematika. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa yang berjumlah 29 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah data observasi aktivitas siswa dan aktivitas guru. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan peningkatan aktivitas siswa kelas VB pada pembelajaran matematika, hal ini dibuktikan oleh adanya peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa pada siklus II, pada siklus I, hanya sebagian kecil siswa yang aktif dalam mengikuti pembelajaran, masih terdapat beberapa aspek aktivitas siswa yang belum muncul, yaitu pada kegiatan inti aspek menciptakan aktivitas berpikir, aktivitas praktik, interpretasi, dan mengkreasi, pada siklus II, indikator keberhasilan penelitian sudah terpenuhi, sebagian besar atau lebih dari 15 orang siswa sudah melaksanakan aktivitas pembelajaran pada kegiatan pembuka, kegiatan inti, serta kegiatan penutup dengan sangat baik. Penggunaan media kubus satuan yang tepat untuk meningkatkan aktivitas siswa pada pembelajaran matematika adalah dengan sistem pembagian siswa berkelompok dengan kelompok kecil, pemberian motiviasi, dan apresiasi. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media kubus satuan yang tepat dapat meningkatkan aktivitas siswa kelas VB SD Negeri 81 Kota Bengkulu pada pembelajaran matematika. Kata kunci          : media kubus satuan, aktivitas siswa, pembelajaran matematika This research aims to analyze the increase in student activity in mathematics learning using unit cube media for students of grade VB SD Negeri 81 Bengkulu City and describe the use of unit cube media that is appropriate so that it can increase student activity in mathematics learning. The subjects of this study were 29 students. Data collection techniques use observation, interview, and documentation methods. The data collected in this study are observation data of student activities and teacher activities. Data analysis techniques used qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this research indicate an increase in the activity of VB class students in mathematics learning, this is evidenced by an increase in student learning activities in cycle II, in the first cycle, only a small number of students were active in learning, there were still some aspects of student activity that had not yet appeared, namely in the core activities aspects of creating thinking activities, practical activities, interpretations, and creation, in cycle II, the success indicators of research have been fulfilled, most or more than 15 students have carried out learning activities in opening activities, core activities, and closing activities with very good. The proper use of unit cube media to increase student activity in mathematics learning is by a system of division of students in groups with small groups, giving motiviation, and appreciation. Thus, the use of the right unit cube media can increase the activity of grade VB SD Negeri 81 Bengkulu students in mathematics learning. Key words           : unit cube media, student activities, mathematics learning

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to analyze the increase in student activity in mathematics learning by applying cooperative learning model type STAD to VB grade students of SDN 81 Bengkulu City, and to describe the application of the right STAD type cooperative learning model so as to increase student activity in mathematics learning. The subjects of this study amounted to 29 people. Data collection techniques use observation and documentation techniques. The data collected in this study is the observation data of increasing student activity and data on the implementation of STAD type cooperative learning model in mathematics learning. Data analysis techniques used qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate an increase in student activity in learning mathematics in class VB SD Negeri 81 Kota Bengkulu. This is evidenced by the activities of students in learning mathematics has increased in cycle II. In cycle 1 only a small number of students were active in learning and there were still some aspects of student activity that had not yet appeared in the core activities of interpretation and activity evaluating activities, while in cycle II the success indicators had been fulfilled, namely most students carried outPenerapan Model Cooperative Learning Tipe Student Team Achievent Divisionlearning activities or more than ½ (half) the number of students, more than 15 students carrying out learning activities on: opening, core and closing activities very well. The application of the STAD learning model is appropriate to increase student activity in mathematics learning, namely by providing motivation and guidance so that students can actively explore in groups as well as appreciation in the form of rewards. Thus, the application of the appropriate STAD learning model can increase students' activities in the mathematics learning of VB grade students of SD Negeri 81 Kota Bengkulu.Keywords: Student Achievement Team Division, Student Activity, Mathematics Learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of group counseling services with sociodrama’s technique toward student empathy class X SMA N 9 Bengkulu city. This research is a quasi experimental research design with nonequivalent control group. The population in this study is a tenth grade student of SMAN 9 Bengkulu city. The sample was determined by sampling purposive in order to obtain the group will be group counseling services. The methods of data collection using pre-test and post-test form 47 item questionnaire empathy. Data from this study were analyzed using anova mix test. Based on the analysis the results showed that (1) The average score of students' pre-test experimental group was 154,80 and the average score of the control group students was 163,30. While the average score of post-test the experimental group students of 190,60 and an average score of 169,70 for the control group students. This result suggests that empathy scores students of experimental group is better than the students control group empathy scores. (2) In the experimental group Mean Difference (MD) value of -35,80 was significant of 0,00 (P<0,05) and in the control group Mean Difference (MD) value of -7,90 with significant 1,88 (P> 0,05). This shows that the experimental group had increased student empathy significant and in the control group had increased the student empathy but not signitifikan. (3) The results of anova mix test with a significance value of 0,001 (P<0,05). This result shows that there is a differents student empathy of the group with technique sosiodrama’s guidance services sociodrama’s against student empathy between the control group and the experimental group. (4) In the score of eta squared donations increase empathy using group counseling services with sociodrama’s techniques in the experimental group amounted to 75,5% and in the control group by 13%.                                     Keywords: Group Counseling, Students Empathy and Sociodrama’s Technique

Abstract

Abstract: Semantic mapping has been demonstrated as practical teaching and learning technique for students at all grade levels. However, its use for speaking class has been relatively unexplored. The objective of this study is to investigate the influence of semantic mapping as a technique to improve students’ speaking ability. The research design of this study was quasi experimental design. The population comprised the seventh grade students of SMP Taba Renah, Musi Rawas in the academic year of 2015/2016 and the sample consisted of 44 students. The data were collected via test, observation and interview. In analyzing the data, for the pre-test it was found that there were not significant differences in speaking competence and its components in experimental and control class because P > 0.05. For the post-test, it was found that for total speaking competence P-value is 0.018, for vocabulary in speaking P-value is 0.001, for fluency in speaking P-value is 0.033, for pronunciation in speaking P-value is 0.060, and for grammar in speaking P-value is 0.348. So, there were significant differences in experimental & control class in vocabulary and fluency aspects because P < 0.05 but there were not significant difference in pronunciation and grammar aspects because P > 0.05. The finding shows that semantic mapping as technique is effective to be implemented in teaching English to improve students’ speaking ability, especially in vocabulary and fluency aspects but it is not in pronunciation and grammar

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe two stay two stray untuk meningkatkan aktifitas pelajaran matematika siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas,dengan subjeknya adalah siswa kelas IVC SD Negeri 01 Kota Bengkulu tahun pelajaran 2017/ 2018. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalahpengamatan langsung yang dilakukan selama proses pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran two stay two stray. Teknik analisis data diperoleh dari pengamatan aktifitas guru dan siswa, data yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi yang digambarkan. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran cooperative tipe two stay two stray dapat meningkatkan aktivitas siswa dalam pelajaran matematika. Hal ini bisa dilihat dari lembar kegiatan guru dan siswa. Kata kunci: Matematika, Aktifitas, Kooperatif, Two Stay Two Stray.  ABSTRACT The objective of the study was to investigate the effectiveness of the implementation of Two Stay Two Stray type cooperative learning models to increase the activity of students’ mathematics lessons. The design used was a classroom action research. The subject were the students of grade IVC of SD Negeri 01 Kota Bengkulu in the academic year of 2017/2018. Data collection techniques used was direct observationswhich wased during the process of learning mathematics by using Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning models. Data analysis techniques were obtained from observations of teacher activities and obsevations of student activities, the data obtained from the observation sheets were described. The results of the study concluded that the application of Two Stay Two Stray type cooperative learning models could increase student activity in mathematics learning. Abstract: This research is aimed to result the interest scale which is used as directive of the student at the program of competence at SMKN 3 Kota Bengkulu. The interest scale is aimed to see the suitability of choice with the students interest at one of the competence program food science, clothing science, beauty clas, computer net technique, and broadcasting. The counseling teacher is hoped to be able to identify and make the recomendation of students interest purpose. The implementation of the interest scale shows that there are students who have not suitable placed the class at skill program they have already chosen. Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh layanan penguasaan konten terhadap pemahaman peran gender siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 01 Padang Jaya Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group pre-test dan post-test design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 26 siswa dari kelas X IPA 2 yang memiliki pemahaman yang  tinggi, sedang, dan rendah tentang peran gender. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pemahaman siswa terhadap peran gender meningkat setelah diberikan layanan penguasaan konten, hal ini terlihat dari mean pre-test = 22,3 dan mean post-test = 29,9 dengan rata-rata peningkatan skor sebesar 7,5 sehingga,  dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh layanan penguasaan konten terhadap pemahaman peran gender siswa kelas X IPA 2 Negeri 01 Padang Jaya Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara.Kata kunci : layanan klasikal layanan penguasaan konten, pemahaman peran gender ABSTRACTThe study aimed to find out the effect of content mastery service on the understanding gender roles of students at class X SMA N 01 Padang Jaya Bengkulu Utara. The method used in this study was experimental method with one group pretest and posttest design. The subject of this study were 26 students of class X IPA 2 with high, medium, and low category lever understanding gender roles. The data collection technique af this study were twst and interview. The result of this study showed that the student’s understanding gender roles was improved after content mastery is given, it was showed from the mean score of pretest was =  22,3 and mean posttest was = 29,9 with the average score increase 7,5, that there is the effect of content mastery service on the understanding gender roles of students at class X SMA N 01 Padang Jaya Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara.Keywords : classical service, content mastery service, understanding gender roles
