Abstract

Hinduism in everyday life can not be kept away with the name yajńa. Yajna is a sincere sacred offering consisting of five yajńa or panca yajńa. In practice yajńa is supported by banten, saint, panca gita. Taste, pride, calm, peace can also be felt in chanting dharmagita. With the decreasing interest of adolescents especially in learning dharmagita, then family and coach can increase dharmagita training to adolescent in particular. The role of informal education is needed to internalize the values of Hindu characters to sekeha teruna teruni through the implementation of dharmagita.

Abstract

Implementation of Maturan Jagung Meladung ceremony is done in various temples in Banjar Saren, Pakraman Village Mujaning Tumeling so praying takes one day. Means of upakara in each temple is chosen based on the order of the general book of krama Banjar Saren Pakraman Mujaning Tumeling Village. Worship begins at Pancuhan Temple and then to Pura Pengujanan continued in three temple locations among Pura Dalem, Pura Griya and Pura Kamulan Kawitan meeting held at the last three temple locations accompanied by Baluh Tabuhur and Renteng dance.

Abstract

Manak salah ritual is a ritual aimed at the community of Desa Pakraman Julah who gave birth to twins and boys or in Bali is often called the kembar buncing. Birth like this is considered unnatural so it must be exiled and made the ceremony. Implementation of manak salah ritual in Desa Pakraman Julah has uniqueness that has never been owned by other villages. The uniqueness is at the time of the implementation of the balik sumpah ritual at Pura Bale Agung, kembar buncing baby along with his parents were told to eat and drink like an animal, meaning that by behaving like an animal, it is expected to throw away the mistakes so far because it is considered unnatural born.

Abstract

The uniqueness of the implementation of Maprani ceremony is held every once a year that is on Ngusabha Kadasa or Ida Bhatara Turun Kabeh and carried out by eating together in the central courtyard (Jaba Tengah). In addition, before the meal together, the ceremony begins with the performance of Titi Swara, which is one of the elders of the adat giving a discourse on susila and tattwa related to life. After Titi Swara coupled with the staging of various types of sacred dance then proceeded by exchanging the banten that was dedicated by a meal with nunas paican Ida Bhatara.

Abstract

Perguruan Seruling Dewata is one of the oldest martial arts colleges in Indonesia in addition to teaching martial arts and kanuragan. Perguruan Seruling Dewata also teaches the science of Hindu religion, according to the legacy of Yogi and Yogini of ancient times, who had studied at Perguruan Seruling Dewata. This college was originally, one of the branches of college months. Where in ancient times, there are two major Silat colleges on the island of Bali is the university of the moon and the university of the sun. Apart from the Perguruan Seruling Dewata there is also the Perguruan Kanda Pat Bali which is engaged in meditation, medicine and enlightenment to date.

Abstract

The series of activities undertaken in two cycles consists of planning, execution, observation and reflection. The result showed that there was an increase of students' creativity in learning by 86.86% in the second cycle compared to 74.13% in the previous cycle. This increase is also directly visible in the use of various learning media to explore and learn various things that can increase the sense of empathy, openness, and tolerance to various problems from the original 81.66% to 91.67%. The results of this study indicate that the learning model of Discovery-Brainstorming Learning can improve the creativity and soul of students on the subjects of Hindu and Budi Pekerti Religion in SMA Negeri 1 Bontang. This learning model proved effective for small classes.

Abstract

This paper is an description for the existence of Gurukula contained in Bangli. The Gurukula system is seen as an educational system that is represented as a form of ancient Hindu educational methods. Ancient Hindu education which has been viewed as a method that is not developed, but in fact Gurukula present as a place of education in line with Hindu literature such as Upanisad and Dharsana. It also attempts to reveal the formation of a very religious character to the sisya Gurukula through the sisya method of staying with the teacher within the prescribed time period. In addition, in this paper also reveals a moral pembentuka against sisya, so that education Gurukula can be said almost similar to informal education contained in the family. The phenomena were then dissected using the theory of Thorndike Connectionism and presented descriptively qualitatively. This paper can be a new paradigm in the planning and determination of a learning method applied in the world of education, especially Hindu religious education.

Abstract

This research analyzes some parody videos of "Hai Puja" titled "Anak Kuliah Jaman Now", "Mantu Cager", "Happy Mother's Day, Memek", and "Celengan Out" which has been watched by thousands of people is a Bali-language video using Balinese language with a sense of comedy that is full of meaning and messages that fit the social context of contemporary society, especially in Bali. The use of the Balinese language in this video is a proof of the existence of the Balinese language in the Millenial era. The proof, this video audience is mostly a group of teenagers who enjoy it through uploading social media instagram, facebook, and youtube. Terms popularized in the language of Bali was much followed and discussed actively by the community, especially teenagers. Balinese language is a language that serves as a communication tool for the people of Bali, because the language of Bali is the mother tongue for the people of Bali. Balinese language is a reflection of all aspects of human life and also as a language of instruction in the social. Balinese language has a position and function that is able to become the identity and identity of Balinese people. As for some functions of the language of Bali is very important for the community, among others, as a symbol of pride of Bali, as a means of communication or liaison in the community, as the identity of the people of Bali.

Abstract

The article aims to provide knowledge and understanding of Balinese cultural symbols. Bali as a tourist destination of the world has undergone many changes and problems, both social problems, law, criminalism, until the issue of solving the sacred religious symbols. One form of symbol to deliver understanding of symbols that are sacral and profane one of them is sawen. Sawen in Balinese life is a symbol that can also be significant intermediaries in the logical aspect (denotative) and significant in the psychological aspect (connotative), so sawen is a symbol that can give a message that must be understood by the community which use sawen as symbol. Similarly sawen will be meaningfull if the use of it is in accordance with space, time, shape and type of sawen, which will be accepted as the same message as well and is agreed with the ideas of its users. The use of sawen by the people of Bali, especially the Hindus can be used in sacred activities, sawen can also be used in the profane situation. Sawen can be regarded as a symbol of communication functions, as sawen can be used a tool for social interaction. An interaction through sawen occured, because of a comprehension and understanding of the use of the same sawen according to time and space usage. Thus sawen can have various meanings, such as: Sawen means ownership, Sawen means a bond, Sawen means prohibition messages, Sawen also means repellent reinforcements and a sign of religious ceremonies.
