Abstract

The aim of the research is to know the effectiveness of SQ3R method (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) in improving student reading comprehension in indonesia language. The method of the research is qualitative approarch by using obsevation technique and literary study based on the relevant resources in improving student reading comprehension. The result of the research is SQ3R method can improve student reading comprehension. It can be seen that student be active and focus readers so that they can comprehend the texts both implicit and explici effectively, there is improving ability to communicative, and the diffrences of average student reading score in indonesia language at the tenth grade of sma Mathla’ul Anwar Menes-Pandeglang-Banten. In short SQ3R method is effective to use in improving students reading comprehension. How ever, there is weaknesses in this research, it is better to do further research using more observation to get accurate data.

Abstract

TEACHER AND STUDENT ETHICS IN EDUCATION OF IMAM AL-GHAZALI'S PERSPECTIVE. Humans in general in overcoming all weaknesses are by preparing the next generation through religious education and teaching as well as worldly knowledge both formally and informally. education should be rooted in the problems that are around us. The problem that I think is currently being faced is the decline in ethos in social relations both between individuals and between groups, or individuals with groups. Ethics is a very important crown that we need to uphold, the pattern of relations between teachers and students is something very vital . This study concluded that 1) Ethics is seen as something sacred that must exist and be owned by everyone, especially the ethics of teachers and students. 2) Understanding the ethics of teachers and students in the teaching and learning process according to Al-Ghazali concluded that education is essentially the interaction between educators and students. 3) The ethics of teachers and students can be reflected in the gentle attitude and compassion the teacher aims to draw closer to God.

Abstract

The development of science and technology, at the moment is increasingly rapid. Therefore the world of education must be able to adapt it to the learning process, namely by implementing a curriculum to determine the quantity and quality of education outcomes, the good and bad results of education depend on "Quality of curriculum implementation", the most important thing in curriculum implementation is the quantity and quality of the learning process. To obtain relevant information data in this study, using the method of quality concept analysis The implementation of the curriculum in learning inquiry concepts through theoretical analysis. Researchers identify, study and then synthesize research data to gain an understanding of the quality of curriculum implementation in learning that can be directly observed. Research data was collected through literature studies of various theoretical documents. The researcher interprets the data and facts to obtain an explanation of the concept of curriculum implementation in learning. The writing of this article aims to examine the concept of curriculum implementation in effective, efficient and productive learning in achieving the learning objectives set in the curriculum. Achieving learning objectives can be supported by the roles and functions of professionalism of teachers/educators in determining and implementing: 1) Implementation of the curriculum in learning with activities include: planning, implementing, evaluating and improving learning that is useful for increasing the quantity and quality of learning objectives. 2) The process of implementing the curriculum in learning is in accordance with the goals and achievements set by using various approaches / models, media, methods, techniques, and learning strategies and managing the learning process in the classroom and outside the classroom efficiently. 3) Learning outcomes that oriented to the quantity and quality of repairs can solve various problems.

Abstract

Abstract: Writing is a skill about pouring an idea or concept in form of write (written). The research conducted in the XI TKR 4 class off SMK NU Ma'arif Kudus showed that the value of the student writing skill is still low. This research purpose is to raise a writing skills by using the peer teaching method. This research was conducted from April to March. The subjects in this study were teachers and students of class XI TKR 4 of SMK NU Ma'arif Kudus. Data in the form of photos, videos, lesson plans, test results, lists of values, notes on interview results and field notes. Data sources include: informants, places and events, and documents. The validity of the data uses triangulation method and triangulation data source. Data analysis techniques use critical analysis techniques and comparative descriptive techniques. Indicator of achievement is 80%. Research procedures consist of planning, implementing actions, and reporting. In cycle I their learning motivation was in the moderate category, namely 53,12%, in cycle II it was in the high category, namely 78,12. The attainment of explanation writing competence in cycle I 68,75% of the students attained the MMC, in cycle II 90,62% of the students attained the MMC. The results of the study showed that the application of the peer teaching method was able to improve the explanatory writing skills of students in class XI TKR 4 SMK NU Ma'arif Kudus.

Abstract

This research departs from the phenomenon that appears during initial reflection. The results of the competency tests conducted on class X.1 students of State High School 3 of Pandeglang - Banten, after participating in speed reading learning, showed that of the 22 students only 53.6% who were able to fulfill the demands of the basic competency indicators that were targeted for learning. Starting from these problems, it needs to be followed up by applying SAVI style techniques in speed reading learning. The research method used is descriptive method and research design using a classroom action research model designed in three cycles. The results of this study show that the development of speed reading competencies using SAVI style techniques could improve student’s learning activities and outcomes. Changes in the increase in student activity during the learning process from cycle 1 to cycle 2 averaged 1.86, while the average from cycle 2 to cycle is 3 1.64. Student learning outcomes from the average value of cycle 1 to cycle 2 is 7.41, while the average of cycle 2 to cycle 3 is 3.42.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menitikberatkan pada kajian nilai-nilai moral dalam Novel Si Camar Jonathan Livingston Karya Richard Bach.Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menganaisis nilai-nilai moral dalam novel Si Camar Jonathan Livingston karya Richard Bach merupakan penelitian deskriptif.Kemudian, teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis isi. Teknik penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karya seseorang, dengan cara mendeskripsikan dan menyimpulkan. Sintak dari teknik ini adalah (a) Membaca dan memahami karya sastra; (b) Melakukan identifikasi karya sastra; (c) Pengelompokkan atau klasifikasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis nilai-nilai moral yang terdapat pada novel Si Camar Jonathan Livingston karya Richard Bachyang juga dijadikan sebagai sumber data pada penelitian ini.Permasalahan penelitian ini mengungkap nilai-nilai moral yang ada dalam novel.Hasilnya mengungkapkan, dalam novel ini pada akhirnya dapat diketahui bahwa nilai-nilai moral yang terkandung adalah nilai moral sabar, kerja keras, kasih sayang dan peduli.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low writing skill of students' argumentative essay causing low student learning outcomes. The method used in this study is the experimental method conducted at SMAN 17 Pandeglang by taking class X students in the 2015/2016 academic year as a population. The sample technique used is cluster random sampling. The draw results conducted on the five existing classes were obtained, namely the X-IPS 1 class as the experimental class and X-IPS 3 class as the control class. Each class is 25 and 24 students. Thus the number of samples in this study were 49 students. The experimental class is given treatment, namely the learning process using the SAVI model (Somantik, Auditory, Visual and Intellectual). Whereas the control class uses the expository model. Based on the results of data analysis in statistical calculations, it can be concluded that there is a positive effect of SAVI learning model at student writing skill of argumentative essay at class X, SMAN 17 Pandeglang 2015/2016 academic year. This is indicated by data from the analysis using the t-test formula, obtained t-count 2.984. Whereas t-table for the significance level of 0.05 with degrees of freedom (df) 47 obtained t-table 2.014. Because t-count is greater than t-table (t-count> t-table), which is 2.984> 2.014, then the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. By rejecting of the null hypothesis (Ho), then the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Thus, it means that there is significant effect of using SAVI learning model at student writing skill of argumentative essay.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to get empirical evidence about the influence of principal’s leadership and teacher’s motivation toward teacher’s performance and the achievement of graduates in Hospitality Major of Vocational High School At Kabupatan Bandung. The result are expected to contribute in the development of management science specially in education management. For identical schools and practitioners, the result of this study are expected to provide useful information about the importance in order to improve the achievement of graduates.This research was conducted in Hospitality Major of Vocational High School At Kabupatan Bandung. The research method uses survey method with quantitative research approach. On the other hand, type of this research is descriptive and verificative. To test the hypothesis of the study, we used statistical methods of path analysis.According to the test result we found significant influence between principal’s leadership against teacher’s performance with total effect of 9,90 %, a significant influence between teacher’s motivation against the performance of teacher with percentage of 50,53%, significant influence between proncipal leadership and teacher’s motivation against the performance of teachers with percentage of 60,43 %, the performance of teachers giving contribution to the achievement of graduates trhough the teacher’s performance with a total effect of 68,89 %.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe an increase in the learning activities of economic education through Social Sciences Class 4 of SMAN 8 Pandeglang 2016. The method used in this study is a classroom action research method. The results of the study show that through the Strategy of Giving Learning and Recitation assignments can increase the activity and the ability to understand the material of education in economics especially about the Theory of Economic Development. Learning activities from cycle I to cycle II have increased understanding of the theory of economic development (average value increased 1.1; percentage increase up to 21.8%; from good category to very good), aspects of understanding the theory of economic development in Indonesia (mean value average increase up to 0.7; percentage increase up to 14.8%; from the good category it become very good); aspects of the theory of experts on economic development (average value increased 0.7; percentage increase up to 15.7%; from good category to very good), and practice aspects of behavior that reflected faith To the end (average value rise 0, 9; the percentage increased by 18.3%; from the good category it became very good). Student learning outcomes from the initial conditions to the second cycle experienced an increase, namely from 7 students (30%) who received complete grades to 27 students (100%). There was an increase of 20 students (70%) and the class average value from 60.2 to 85.0, increasing up to 24.8.

Abstract

Based on the observation, the problem solving abilities in class X is low. The average achievement score is 19.13 while the ideal average score that must be achieved is 30. Based on this, actions and efforts are needed so that students' problem solving abilities increase. This research method is a classroom action research with 3 cycles. The results of the study show that with the application of problem solving learning methods, problem solving skills of high school students in class X have been raised to 8 levels of improvement
