Abstract

This article describes a 'hijaz' ulama from Java, Sheikh Nawawi al-Bantani. He is known as the 'fiqh' ulama. However, it turns out he also has a tendency in the field of Sufism. His thoughts on Sufism are so much embodied in his various works. The Sufism here refers to all that is done to keep the heart clear, to cure broken hearts, to adorn the heart with a laudable behaviour and all things that can lead one to a high degree in faith and Islam. According to him, human formation can be done with deepening of the science of Sufism through education. Three of his works in the field of Sufism, Salalim al-Fudhola 'Syarh Mandzumah Hidayah al-Azkiya', Qami 'al-Tughyan Syarh' ala Manzhumah Syu'ab al-Iman, and Nashaih al-'Ibad fi Bayan Alfadz Munabbihat 'ala al-Isti 'dad li Yaum al-Ma'ad, asserted his thoughts that describe a necessity for a Muslim to integrate Shari'a, tariqat and hakikat. Shari'a means to keep all the commandments of God and stay away from His prohibitions; Thariqah deepens into the Shari'a through the activities of sunnah, good deeds, dhikr, riyadlah, and all outwardly and inwardly activities that can lead a person to the essence of himself and his God. The process of integration can be realized through the planting of seven basic characters, the habituation of eleven attitudes of sufism, and exemplary attitudes and behaviors designed in an educational curriculum. Abstract

There has been a concern over a high unemployment rate among graduates of Islamic higher education and a low proportion of entrepreneurs in Indonesia. In fact, a high proportion of entrepreneurs is one of indicators of a country’s welfare. This has generated a question: to what extent do Islamic values cultivate entrepreneurial culture among its adherents? How to cultivate entrepreneurial culture in Islamic higher education? This paper will investigate this matter using a case study of Faculty of Islamic Law and Economics at Banten State Institute for Islamic Studies.  The paper argues that the curriculum at the faculty of Islamic Law and Economics has not been oriented towards building entrepreneurial culture. The curriculum consists of subjects to enhance the students’ competence and skills to prepare them as bachelors of syari`ah economics for the professions such as manager, lecturer, researcher, syari`ah auditor, etc, instead of preparing them for entrepreneurs who are capable to build his or her own business from the scratch.    To propose Islamic entrepreneurship study program at the FSEI of IAIN SMHB, it is important to have a strong political will not only from the internal IAIN but also higher authoritative body such as the Ministry of Religious Affairs to facilitate this from not only the accreditation process but also financial support. A further feasibility study needs to be undertaken to build its infrastructure such as qualified lecturers, appropriate curriculum structure, and recruitment student system. Since this field has a strong link with a ‘real sector’, there has been an urgent need to build cooperations with business sector to enable the students to undertake their apprentice and build their networks to facilitate their ability to develop their own business.     Keywords: Islam, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial education.

Abstract

This journal entitled al-Insya 'at -Ta alabiy fi Surati al-Mujadilah (Dirasah Tahliliyyah Tada wuliyyah). Writing this journal on the back of many found sentences, assuming that the sentence does not work as the original. But in other circumstances, some sentences have other functions that can be understood in context when the utterance is uttered. Therefore, the researcher is interested to study and examine the letter of al-Mujadilah by asking two questions formulation, firstly, how many verses are not conventionally interpreted in the letter of al-Muja> dilah ? Second, what verses that are not conventionally interpreted in surat al-Mujadilah? Third, what is the function of the verse that is not conventionally interpreted in surat al-Mujadilah? The purpose is to know how many numbers, sentences and sentence functions that contain speech acts in the letter al-Mujadilah. The theory that researchers use and proposed is a pragmatic theory that was promoted by Austin to act speech because only this theory that can dissect and describe the function or intention contained in the sentence that contains not functioned as it should. This research is a research library (library research) with materials or reference sources obtained from the library. The data analysis is done by qualitative method and presented with descriptive analysis method, so that can know the final result of research. Abstract

The holistic implementation of Islamic law in the life of Acehnese community has brought “big changes,” one which is force the majority Acehnese involved in conflicts or disputes bringing their cases solved to Mahkamah Syari’ah as a formal legal instituon which mostly leads disputants  to expensive costs, long consumed and waste time as well as exhausting, even unjust feeling.  However, the implementation has revitalized the existence of customary court which  almost gave up in New Order regimes. The paper argues that the Acehnese legal culture embodied in Peradilan Gampông as customary Law is living law that would resolve destructive conflict and reduce the intention and huge suggestion of some people to resolve their cases through formal legal solution in State Courts (Mahkamah Syariah). With a socio-legal approach the research is focused on case studies on resolving dispute in Aceh customary courts (Peradilan Adat Gampông) at several Gompông in Aceh. The study found that peace, equilibrium, societal hood and justice as dominant principles in the life of Acehnese people at gampôngs and cities have brought customary law revived and as socities’ primary choices in resolving their legal cases. Abstract

The criticism of  hadith  practiced by muhaddithin and recognized by Muslim scholars is by using muqaranah and mu'aradah methods  proved to be more accurate, precise and comprehensive, rather than the method used by Western scholars using the common link method. The methods of muqaranah and mu'aradah essentially compare the existing concepts in one hadith with the existing concepts on the Qur'an, Hadith Mutawatir,  reason / logic and others, while the common link method compares only word per word. The same words are considered valid while different words are considered weak hadith. Keywords: Muqaranah, Mu‘aradah, Common link.
