Abstract

Abstract. Nutritional status of school children snack food consumption contribution, children who are in SD 2 Penatih. . The purpose of this study was to determine the  overview of nutrition and snack food consumption in primary school children in 2 Penatih The sample used is a child who is in grade 4 and 5 are male students men and women who were in elementary school 2 Penatih.  Sought is the method of recall 2 x 24 hours, type of research is observational research with cross sectional design where, research done by making observations on the nutritional status of school children and the consumption of street food. From the research that has been done is obtained in the energy consumption of street food samples largely categorized either by 10 samples with good nutritional status of as many as 6 sample (60,0%)s  more than enough samples that category is less and less category of  1 samples  with good nutritional status of 1 samples (100%) and were categorized enough for 44 samples with good nutritional status 27 sample (61,0%) and protein consumption snacks on most of the samples are categorized either 10 samples  with good nutritional status of as many as 7 samples (70,0%) more than enough samples that category is less and less categories by 7 samples with good nutritional status of 34 samples (62,0%) and were categorized fairly by 38 samples with good nutritional status of as many as 21 samples (55,0%). Keywords: Nutritional Status, Snack Consumption, Microtoice, Weigher.

Abstract

Abstract. In this modern era there are many changes in our society, including the food pattern. Our society specially teenager that live in the big city, tend to consume fast food that have attractiveness , cheap in price, faster in serving, and have delicious taste but low nutrients than traditional food that rich in nutrients. Knowledge and attitude are very important to determine someone’s fast food pattern consumption. This research aims to knowing the knowledge, attitude and fast food pattern consumption at SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar. This was a cross sectional study that using 86 sample randomly. This research found that most of the sample have good knowledge about fast food (91,9%), and 51,2 % sample have good attitude towards fast food. The fast food pattern consumption contains total variety of fast food that the sample consume, fast food consumption frequency, also the total energy and protein from fast food that they consume. 51,2% sample have many kind of fast food that they consume and 60,5 % sample consume fast food in oftentimes. For the energy and protein consumption, 32,56 % sample have high energy consumption from their fast food and 25,6 % sample have high protein consumption from their fast food. From the cross tab analyze, it known that even there are many samples that have good knowledge about fast food but some of them still consume fast food oftentimes. That’s why researcher suggest the teacher or the other health worker to give some explanation to the students about fast food and nutrition and also motivate them to consume healthy food and reduce their fast food consumption.Keyword : knowledge , attitude, food consumption, fast food pattern

Abstract

Abstract. Control blood sugar levels is highly recommended for prevention of Erectile Dysfunction as a complication of Diabetes Mellitus. How to control blood sugar levels is to consume low glycemic index food and check their HbA1c levels. This study aims to find a description of glycemic index and HbA1c  levels with incident Erectile Dysfunction Diabetes patiens at Diabetic Centre Sanglah Hospital Denpasar. This research is an observational cross sectional study design. Samples in this study were males with diabetes who visited the Diabetic Centre Sanglah Hospital Denpasar. Data collected were analyzed using decriptive bivariate analysis. The Result showed that  there are 28 samples (93,3%) eating food  with a high glycemic index and 2 samples (6,7%) eating food  with a low glycemic index. The result showed 14 samples (46,7%) had poor control of HbA1c levels, 10 samples (33,3%) had good control HbA1c levels and 6 samples (20,0%) had medium control HbA1c levels. The data showed 18 samples (60%) experienced Erectile Dysfunction and 12 samples (40,0%) did not experienced Erectile Dysfunction. Based on the descriction of the relationship between glycemic index and Erectile Dysfunction, 16 samples (53,3%) eating food with a high glycemic index and Erectile Dysfunction. However, 12 samples (40,0%) eating food with a high glycemic index and not have Erectile Dysfunction. According to the relationship between HbA1c levels and the incidence of Erectile Dysfunction, 6 samples (20,0%) had poor HbA1c levels and Erectile Dysfunction, but 8 samples (26,7%) had poor HbA1c levels and not have Erectile Dysfunction. And 7 samples (23,3%) who had HbA1c levels well but Erectile Dysfunction.Keywords: glycemic index, HbA1c levels, Erectile Dysfunction, patiens Diabetes

Abstract

Abstract. Adult nutritional status can be monitored simply by using body mass index of nutritional status related to the advantages and disadvantages of weight. Overweight also can affect blood cholesterol levels. (Bannerman, 2005). Food consumption patterns of the community 18% have experienced similar changes with an increase in the popularity of fast food, an estimated 80% of lives could be saved if public consumption consume a complete nutrient content increased. The results of the Ministry of Health survey in the province of Bali to 2013, the data showed 10.5% of adults have a IMT 27 and 4.1% had a IMT ≥ 30 (Kemenkes, 2013). Bali provincial prevalence of overweight in the population above 18 years of age in males at 19.2% and 22.4% in women (Kemenkes, 2012). Data outpatient visits in public hospitals in Klungkung area is obtained most women with a IMT 26 have cholesterol levels of 25.2% and the majority of men with IMT 27 have cholesterol levels by 27.5%. This study have a purpose to get the nutritional status and blood cholesterol levels emplooyees of Klungkung Regency Public Health Department. This type of study is an observational study with cross sectional design. Conducted on 72 samples of employees in Klungkung Regency Public Health Department. Abstract

Abstract. Fish is a good source of protein for toddlers.  Fish contains vitamins and minerals that are useful for the growth development.  Mother’s knowledge will affect the provision of meals for family members especially toddlers.  If mother’s knowledge is good, it will affect the selection, type of meal and frequency of meal comsumption.  This observational study was carried out using sross-sectional design.  Subject of the study were 61 mothers who had children under 5 years old in Desa Kedonganan Kabupaten Badung. Samples were taken using simple random sampling technique.  The results showed the majority of the samples (34,4%)  good knowledge about fish, moderate category (50,8%) sampels, and low category (14,8%).  The type of fish consumed in Desa Kedonganan was a type of sea fish 50 samples (82,1%).  The average amount of fish protein intake in toddlers is 14,52 grams per day.  The majority of the samples (52,5%) had low category and another of them have a good category (47,5%).     The  frequency  of fish comsumption in  toddlers  are majority samples (70,5%) often consumption fish.  Keywords : mother’s knowledge, consumption patterns

Abstract

Abstract. Dietary fiber intake which appropriate with recommended allowance can depend hypertension by decrease cholesterol utilisation in intestinal. So, the buildup of cholesterol in blood vessel as the caution of hypertension can be avoid. On the other side, the high sodium intake cause the increase of sodium concentration in extracelluler liquid and the volume of blood is increase too.The aimed of study is to determine the nutritional status, the dietary fiber and sodium intake in hypertension outpatients at Sanglah hospital.The type of research is observational and cross-sectional design. Data were collected by measure the weight and height directly to determine the nutritional status of the patients. Dietary fiber and sodium intake were determine by using Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questioner (SQ-FFQ). Based on analysis data of 43 samples, there were three samples (6,98%) had overweight, seven samples (16,27%) had obesity and thirty three samples had normal weight. Mainly samples amount 37 samples (86,05%)  had dietary fiber intake which not appropriate with recommended allowance. There were 23 samples (53,49 %) had a high sodium intake. Based on analysis data between nutritional status and hypertension, indicated that nutritional status were not giving a big effect with the level of hypertension cause there are the others factor such as excessive alcohol consumption, physical activity, stress and smoking which also give an impact to hypertension.Keyword: dietary fiber, hypertension, nutritional status, sodium

Abstract

Abstract. Dyslipidemia characterized by hypertriglyceridemia, increase small dense LDL cholesterol and low HDL cholesterol levels, are common in patient with type 2 DM. This condition may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases and increase the mortality rate of type 2 DM. Blood HDL cholesterol levels is a parameter that should be managed in type 2 DM.There were some studies reported that dietary intakes especially fat may associated to blood HDL cholesterol levels in type 2 DM patients. The study described the association of dietary fat intakes to blood HDL cholesterol levels in type 2 DM outpatients in Diabetic Center Sanglah General Hospital Denpasar. The study was observational and designed cross sectionally. It was conducted on June 2014. There were 43 subjects (19 males and 24 females). Most subjects were more than 45 years old (90.7%). There were more low educated, employee and have family history of DM subjects, 55.8%, 51.22%, and 58.1% respectively. Most subjects had low activity level and were obese 83.7% and 60.5% respectively. The result showed that most subjects (55,8%) with acceptable fat consumption level (25% of total energy) had excellent HDL cholesterol levels. There were no subjects with unacceptable fat consumption level (≥25% of total energy) had excellent HDL cholesterol levels. It is suggested to patient with type 2 DM to maintain their body weight, be more active, and keep dietary fat intakes no more than 25% (of total energy) to get excellent blood HDL cholesterol levels, and therefore lower the risk of cardiovascular diseases.Key words : HDL cholesterol level, fat consumption level.
