Abstract

Problem Based Learning (PBL) method was learning method that teach students for solving the problem and reflecting it with their experiences in order to develop thinking ability in solving problem which was meaningful, relevant, and contextual. PBL was one of methods in contextual teaching and learning based on constructivist learning theory. The result of this paper showed that PBL method was applicable to be implemented in learning fiqh, and it could be combined with other conventional method for achieving advantage of learning result optimally. On the other hand, PBL was effective enough in helping students’ understanding and in linking their education with real problem in society.

Abstract

Pesantren is an islamic educational- institution that has the advantage of both aspects of scientific tradition and its transmission, as well as intensity of Muslims. Rise of globalization has threatened the existence of pesantren, so it causes the idea of ​​modernization in pesantren to address challenges of social transformation needs. To shape the direction of change in developing educational institutions, pesantren held their skills and enter the public schools into their environment. According to Gus Dur, pesantren should give an appreciation of all developments taking place in the present and future. However, in order to keep its traditions, pesantren should take on something new that is considered to be better and do not leave a long tradition. Entering the general sciences in pesantren’s environment has caused problems both among themselves and the public. The question is how exactly, epistemologically, explains the empirical sciences or secular sciences systematically into the pesantren’s tradition. According to Gus Dur, the idea to orient the contemporary pesantren may need to be reviewed because the idea will negatively affects the existence of the basic tasks of pesantren. In addition to strengthening the scientific tradition, pesantren should always open himself, accommodate the present problems, as well as providing enlightenment to the audience by giving the best solutions in resolving the problems of life. According to Gus Dur, boarding schools have relevance to the employment needs, for the world of work, both in services and trade with various needs expertise. Boarding schools must provide input for the education community about what skills are actually required by employment in the era of globalization such a rapid and diverse as it is today.

Abstract

The latest UNDP report of Indonesia HDI value can be made as an indicator to see quality of Indonesian human resources. Indonesia ranks 111 out of 177 countries in the index, lower than philippines since 90 persen of the 238 million citizens are muslim, the HDI value shows that Indonesia islamic human resources (Sumberdaya umat Islam) is still low. We have no choice but to improve it in order to get stategic role in the global era. Revitalizing islamic educational institution is one way of improving it. Pesantren must not keep silen in this “runway world” pesantren should respond wisely every singel global changing. The responsibility of pesantren is get ting harder and harder: it shoul be a center of moral defence on the one hand, and has to create religious and educated society, on the other hand. Therefore, it is relevant to condiser the edea of link and match as an educational system of pesantren, and also to balance the mastery of kitab kuning and kitab putih, relegious knowledge and science technology. The mastery of kitab kuning should be kept as a trade mark of pesantren, but on the same time pesantren has to support and direct santries in mastery of science technology which generally found in the kitab putih.

Abstract

This article discusses the systematic arrangement of suras in the Qur'an. Al-Quran as a holy scripture and guideline for the mankind is always opened to anyone who wants to explore and study the various matters contained in it, including its systematic arrangement. Not many people know what and how exactly the systematic of Al-Quran’s suras, even among the scholars, this issue still get a controversy, is it in ijtihadi, tauqifi or a combination of both, which some is partially in ijtihadi and the other is in tauqifi.

Abstract

The development of the Muslim community needs to the products of Shariah finance industry is a positive indication of the existence of shari'ah financial institutions. The phenomenon is not too surprising considering that the majority of the population in Indonesia is Muslim. Along with the increased understanding of the Shari'ah, the positive impact is people's desire to do business and take advantage of the products and services of financial institutions Shari'ah. But in fact there are still opinions in society, including in academic circles, about Shari'ah financial transaction system which is felt not much different from the conventional transaction system. The phenomenon indicates that literacy levels of society (including academics) are still not good. This study aimed to find the level of understanding and literacy of academicians of the IKNB Shari'ah products, and to know the expectations of society to the presence of IKNB Shari'ah. Based on the expectations of the community, shari'ah financial institutions can create its professionality by optimizing its the role itself. This research was conducted using qualitative methods to explore the opinions and expectations of society, especially the academicians. The strategy of the research is a phenomenal approach, involving all elements of academicians from the community with a heterogeneous geography and culture. The results showed that the level of literacy level academicians against IKNB shari’ah products stood at 62 on a scale of 100. It means that is enabled that the society have literacy levels below that figure. Of course this requires the efforts and support of the educational institutions to provide support to optimize all available resources. Based on the opinions and expectations of the community to discover, at least there are 10 steps to optimize the syari'ah financial laboratory to improve literacy of academicians of the IKNB Shari'ah products

Abstract

Justice and truth is something that must be upheld in this life. Therefore, in solving problems, one should not carelessly blame others without any strong evidence. Because the evidence is essential in the procedural law, especially in criminal matters. Proof always concern the rights and reputation. A person's right is guaranteed by law. Proof that must be done to uphold truth and justice. The purpose of the evidence solely to seek the truth or the true fact of a crime. This is intended to avoid any slander caused accusations without evidence and strong reasons.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role and responsibilities of teachers in implementing character education in MTs Hasan Jufri Bawean. This research is a field research using descriptive-qualitative approach. The study population consisted of all teachers of MTs Hasan Jufri totaling 40 people, and the sample 20 subject class IX teachers. Methods of data collection in this study using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research are the facilities with considerable learning, extracurricular activities, the role of teachers in regular activities, such as the implementation of Duha prayer and prayer dhuhur congregation, spontaneous activities, such as giving sanction to students who are late, and create slogans that can affect students for good character, have been lead learners noble personality which all domains of aspects aimed to implement the teachings of Islam, both in attitudes, skills, and deeds of each learner.

Abstract

In general that the students' views on the subject matter of mathematics as a frightening specter and boring. It can be proved that the student’s mathematics test results than other subjects is much lower. One of reasons is the teachers have no ability to convey the subject matter by using media or a fun props. So it is necessary to create a learning innovation that aims to facilitate in increasing the student’s learning activity outcomes of integer multiplication in grade IV by using bamboo media count in SDN 3 Tambak, Tambak District of Gresik. This research method is descriptive qualitative, quantitative and mediating. The result of this study is student’s activity increase about 12% in the first cycle and 71% to 83% in the second cycle. By using this methode, the student’s learning outcomes increase 20% in the first cycle and 65% to 85% in the second cycle. The conclusion, that is based on the results of the final act of the second cycle’s count show, is a fact that the use of bamboo can increase the student’s activity and learning outcomes in multiplying integers fourth grade students of SDN 3 Tambak Tambak District of Gresik in 2016.
