Abstract

Althought literature study developed rapidly but literature teaching to the full use it advancement not yet. Hence, literature teaching in schools necessary use recent literature study/critic. In a general way teachers opinion said that “on behalf of teaching seriously, so by means of “the bad way” was sufficient for students to answer the objective test. As the world goes, literature teaching is structurally. According to teachers, literature is “a deformity good” because most parts of literature were dominate by imagination. This short paper would like to contribute teachers within literature teaching, as the thing which “challenge” benefited New Historicism and intertextuality approach.Key words: literature teaching, New Historicism, intertextuality approach, fact and fiction

Abstract

In Japanese language, there are various greeting expressions according to the situation or season. Japanese people greet each other in many different ways depending on the relationship you have with the person you are greeting. Japanese can be roughly separated into three levels of politeness; casual, polite, and honorific/humble. Social status of speaker and listener should be considered. Japanese expressions are sometimes have difficulty to find a equivalent into Indonesian language. Therefore, to avoid language of mistakes , it is necessary to know how to use the Japanese expression correctly especially to Japanese learners. This research is the analysis of how to say greeting, thank you, apology expressions in Japanese and how the meaning of an expression of Japanese Language in the novel Norwey no Mori by Haruki Murakami. The method that used in this research is descriptive method. In analyzed form and the meaning of Japanese expressions, writer used Pateda theory (2001) and based on the concept of Edizal (2001), which analyzed how to equivalent the meaning of Japanese expression into Indonesian Language. The research result in novel Norwey no Mori by Haruki Murakami shows the usage of greeting or daily Japanese expressions are Chotto, Anata, Watashi, Iie (iya/uun), Wakaru dan wakaranai, Taihen, Anou, Sukoshi, Sayounara, Moshimoshi, Okagede, Kekkou. And the expressions for saying thank you and apology are Daijoubu, Arigatou, Gomennasai, Doumo. The data are then analyzed how to equivalent the meaning of Japanese expressions into Indonesian language based on formal, informal situation and Japanese cultural. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan efek teknik mengajar yang berbeda (Writing Workshop dan Journal Writing) berdasarkan jenis teks (recount dan narrative) terhadap kemampuan menulis siswa. Post-Test Only Comparison Group diaplikasikan sebagai disain penelitian. Setelah sesi perlakuan, post-test diberikan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan. Data yang diperoleh melalui post-test dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial. Secara deskriptif, diketahui bahwa nilai rata-rata grup yang diajari teks narrative dan recount dengan menggunakan teknik Journal Writing lebih tinggi daripada grup yang diajari dengan teknik Writing Workshop. Dengan kata lain, grup yang diajari dengan teknik Journal Writing cenderung menunjukkan kompetensi yang lebih baik daripada grup yang diajari dengan menggunakan teknik Writing Workshop. Perbedaan kemampuan menulis antara siswa yang diajari dengan teknik yang berbeda dianalisis menggunakan Anova dua jalur. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, diketahui bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan dua teknik mengajar terhadap kemampuan menulis siswa serta tidak ada interaksi antara kedua teknik mengajar dan jenis teks pada kemampuan menulis siswa.Kata kunci: kemampuan menulis, journal writing, writing workshop, jenis teks

Abstract

Affixation is one of word formations found in most languages including in Japanese. Word formation which changes lexical identity and resulted a new lexicon is called derivation. This study was conducted to determine the process of derivational noun formation in Japanese. The results of this study show that (1) the process of the formation of Japanese noun derivational is done by embedding derivational affixes to the root of verbs, nouns, and adjectives, such as prefix{su-, ma-} suffixes {-mamire, -darake, -sei,-te, -tate, -gachi-Gimi,-sa, -mi, -Me, sei} (2) there are forms which are appropriate according to word formation rules but are not used in Japanese due to blocking of other forms representing the word.e.g *utaite, *nomitate. Afixation process in the formation of noun derivational resulted morphophonemic. Phonological processes that take place between them are the assimilation of consonant and vowel insertion / i / at the root of verbs that end in a consonant.Keywords : derivation, blocking, word formation

Abstract

There are some English sounds that Indonesian language doesn’t have. Concequently, some sounds are difficult to pronounce by Indonesian learning English. This research was aimed at analyzing the acoustic characteristic of English fricative sounds produced by the second semester students of D3 English Department in order to reveal the difficult sounds of English fricative clearly. Qualitative design was used in examining the acoustic characteristic of the sounds. The data were gathered by recording the sounds produced by fifteen subjects. The data were analyzed using the figures of oscillogram and spectogram shown by the speech analyzer. Based on the result of data analysis, it is shown that there are five dificult fricative consonants for the second semester students of D3 English Department. Those consonants are the final [v] , the final and middle [θ], the initial and final [ð], the final [z], and the initial [ʃ]. The results of the research also show that the students tend to change the sounds with other sounds which will result the change of meaning of the words.Key words: fonetik, acoustic, english, speech analyzer

Abstract

The study aimed at designing a Web-based promotion media used for the Department of Visual Communication Design (DIII) UNDIKSHA, as well as to find out and describe the students’ responses towards the implementation of a Web-based promotion media for the Department of Visual Communication Design. This study utilized a research and development method focusing on the implementation of CIPP model (consists of Context, Input, Process and Product) for developing a web design. Try out were conducted by one expert on media and another one expert in the content; three individual try out and eight small groups of the students from the Department of Visual Communication Design were also made as well as 30 respondents were used for field try out selected from the students of Department of Art Education, UNDIKSHA. The precentage score of the media expert judgement towards the web test was about 92.00% which could be categorized as an outstanding score. The percentage score of the content expert was about 86.00% which meant as a ‘good” qualification. The precentage score of the individual try out was about 79.38% which meant as a “fair” category. The percentage score of eight small groups try out was about 72.86% which meant as “fair” category. The precentage score of the field try out was about 86.40% which was classified as “good” category. The precentage score obtained from the responses provided by the students of the Department of Art Education was about 85.07% which was classified as “good” category. Abstract

Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mengupayakan P2M dapat terlaksana dengan baik di Grya Ageng Kemenuh, Desa Banjar, Kecamatan Banjar, Kabupaten Buleleng. Harapan yang ingin dicapai guna meningkatkan pelestarian lontar yang memiliki nilai-nilai religius dalam kehidupan sosial kemasyarakatan. Nilai sastra juga dapat ditemukan pada lontar Ni Diah Tantri dan Adi Parwa. Perawatan lontar berjalan dengan baik terawat dan lentur dari segi pewarnaan. Tulisan jelas bisa dibaca, lontar yang patah bisa disambung dengan isolasi. Penomeran yang acak bisa disusun kembali dengan baik. Rayap kayu yang menggerogoti lontar dan takepan lontar bisa dicegah bahkan tidak berani dating karena zat kimia yang begitu keras.Kata kunci: pelestarian, perawatan, lontar.
