Abstract

Natural clay is a porous material that has the ability to adsorb as well have exchangeable ions with ions from the outside. In this study, the clay used comes from the District Tualang - Perawang Siak Riau Province. This study aims to determined the extent effectiveness of potential clay that can be used to reduce heavy metals in the leachate generated by the landfill (TPA). Treated clay by physics and chemistry, refined clay is used to reduce heavy metals (Pb, Cd and Fe). Analysis of heavy metals used AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrometry). This study showed a change in acidified clays in terms of adsorption. It was characterized by a change in specific surface area was initially 47.8 m2/g after activation increased to approximately 64.8 m2/g, which will greatly affect the magnitude of the absorption capacity of the adsorbent. The effectiveness of adsorption of the heavy metals analyzed stood at 66 to 78.8 % a high rate.

Abstract

Salah satu pemanfaatan buah kelapa adalah dengan mengolahnya menjadi minyak goreng. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana buah pala dapat mencegah proses ketengikan minyak kelapa yang dibuat dengan cara tradisional. Parameter yang diukur adalah uji massa jenis, viskositas, dan pH yang dilakukan di Laboratorium Fisika Terpadu, uji angka peroksida dilakukan di Laboratorium Kimia Terpadu Fakultas MIPA dan Kesehatan Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau, uji bau, dan uji warna yang dinilai oleh sepuluh orang panelis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minyak kelapa 50 ml dengan penambahan 2 gram bubuk biji pala yang berfungsi sebagai antioksidan dapat mencegah proses ketengikan minyak kelapa yang dibuat dengan cara tradisional. Hal ini berdasarkan hasil analisis parameter yang digunakan.

Abstract

Proteolytic bacteria are able to hydrolyze proteins into amino acid and smaller peptides. The objective of this study to determine the abilty of three Bacillus sp. isolated from leaf (BD), root (BA), and stem (BP) of palm oil to produce protease. The proteolytic activity was determine based on the amount of tyrosin liberated in Unit/mL, while the specific activity was indicated by activity per unit weight of proteins. Protein concentration of enzymes extracts was determined by Lowry method. The results showed that all isolates were able to produce protease. Protease activity of Bacillus sp. BD, BA and BP was (711,260 ± 0,735) x 10-3 U/mL, (708,536 ± 0,918) x 10-3 U/mL and (710,027 ± 0,091) x 10-3 U/mL in optimal production times of 24 hours, repectively.

Abstract

[Theory, computation and modeling] The purposes of this research are modeling rotation of the molecule, emiting or absorption energy. The parameters which involved for the rotation spectrum are molecular mass, inertia moment, quantum numbers and angular momentum orbital. Abstract

The study was done in August to September 2015 and located in the Kartama Garden (PSN) on Kartama street Marpoyan Damai district area and KOMPPOS – EM garden (PSO) at the University of Riau, Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research is determining metal Cu (copper) in vegetable (mustard, convolvulus and lettuce) and soil, determining the rate of pollution metal Cu, analyzing the use of fertilizer and pesticide synthetic levels of metal Cu in a sample and analyzing the impact of agricultural income activity for farmers. Based on the research, levels of metal Cu in vegetables and soil PSN had passed of quality standard Director General POM RI namely 5,0 mg/kg and categorized polluted metal Cu. While sample vegetable KOMPPOS - EM garden (PSO) is still under environmental quality category and including contaminated. Using fertilizer and pesticide synthetic and continuing to exceed doses constantly affects levels of metal Cu in a sample of vegetables and soil significantly. Economically, PSN and PSO farming is agricultural activity that can give advantages for farmers.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out how much potential waste from chicken bones and fish collected from street vendors in the city of Pekanbaru to pulverized bone and mineral calcium phosphate nanoparticle size. This research is motivated by many vendors who are considered disturbing the aesthetics and cleanliness of the city. The research was conducted in the city of Pekanbaru by using primary data obtained from a survey of street vendors. While secondary data obtained from the Office of Market town of Pekanbaru, statistical data and the results of previous studies. Data samples are taken randomly from street vendors in the city of Pekanbaru based on the types of food sold as roasted chicken and fried catfish. The process of making bone powder are derived from chicken and fishbones through several stages. For bone drying process is done at a temperature of 100 OC for 15 minutes. As for the bone turnover process is performed at a temperature of 700 OC for 6 hours. The results showed that the huge potential of the waste bones if used as a source of mineral raw materials Calcium Phosphate. This research could also describe an increase in economic value if it produces powder bone and bone powder with the size of the nanoparticles.

Abstract

The formation of the Cumulonimbus (Cb) cloud is very important to be analyzed, because it may cause weather changes which is very dangerous for flight activities. This research will analyze the formation of the Cb at Pekanbaru. The data about air temperature and pressure taken on October – December 2012 at Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport, Pekanbaru. The analysis about the formation of Cb needed to help the focecaster to give information or suggestion about the Cb formatting. The information showed that there is temperature and pressure changes which is inversely proporsional. When the temperature up, the pressure down. This analysis said that the Cb formation on October – December 2012, 79 % tended to be started with cumulus cloud. On October, there is temperatureascension from 07.00 am to 02.00 pm about 7,5 oC and the pressure decrease from 10.00 am to 04.00 pm is about 4,5 mb with 12,5 % Cb formation. On November, there is temperature ascension about 7,6 oC from 07.00 am to 02.00 pm. The pressure decreased about 4,6 mb at 10.00 am to 04.00 pm with 16,3 % Cb formation. On December, from 07.00 am to 02.00 pm, the temperature ascends about 7,1 oC and the pressure decreases about 4,1 mb with 11,9 % Cb formation. The analysis showed the higher temperature, the lower pressure make the Cb formation is bigger.

Abstract

Settlement is located in the Village of East Sidomulyo RT 01 RW 02 and it is the closest settlement and directly exposed to the morning market of Arengka Pekanbaru activity. This market is potentialed to create of noise. The analysis of noise level is commited by collecting the data on seven points and commited for 4 days. Measure the noise level is using application of meter noise which downloaded on Smarthphone Samsung i8262 Galaxy Core Duos. the point that near with noise source market has higher noise intensity value than the points that are far away from the noise source market. The level of noise that consist in one of area that reached 64.455 dBA, this value has exceeded the threshold value (NAV) Kep - 51 / MEN / 1992 and SNI No. 16-7063-2004.

Abstract

The production process design is the form ones creativity in the form of a paper form or electronic form in the form of visual communication which has the function and aesthetic value to convey information or a message to everyone who has arranged the format so as to comply with certain requirements. Electronic form is a space that is displayed on the computer screen that is used to capture the data to be processed in an electronic data processing. The method used is descriptive qualitative approach is also called non statistik data processing. Data analysis techniques used in this research is the technique of inductive thinking process; that is to say, in testing hypotheses starts from the data collected and summarized, this technique is usually used to analyze the data obtained from observation and interviews Results showed Desai electronic form in the hospital sassy yellow pekanbaru not run well, hospitals are still using manual design, while at the present time other hospitals already use electronic medical records to facilitate the work, reductions loss of data and a double storage. The conclusion from this study that the factors that make hospitals sassy yellow pekanbaru not use an electronic medical record that there is no concern for the hospital to work in the system of medical records.

Abstract

The tonic is a substance that can improve our body strength. It can recover the staff our body shortly. It can also make our body stronger and can stimulates our appetite. Knowing the most effective tonic effect dose variation among ethanol extract of bitter leaf on male mice (Mus musculus L.) Swiss Strain. This study is an experimental research design with True experimental design approach Posttest Pretest with control group. The ethanol extract of bitter leaf is made with bitter leaf quote using ethanol 96% with maceration method. The provision of treatment in test animals distinguished on several variations of dosage. In preparation extracts there are 5 groups, namely: group I, II, III, IV, V treated positive control caffeine 13 mg / kg, cooking oil as a negative control, the ethanol extract at a dose of 50 mg / kg, 100 mg / kg, 200 mg / kg. Data obtained tonic effect of added time the mices ability to defend itself when direnangkan. Data were analyzed by ANOVA using SPSS 18.0 for windows followed by a test post hoc test and ED50 probit analysis to determine the most effective dose as a tonic. Ethanol extract of bitter leaf at a dose of 50 mg / kg have a tonic effect of 9.2 minutes, a dose of 100 mg / kg have a tonic effect of 13.4 minutes, and a dose of 200 mg / kg have a tonic effect 23 minutes. Results yield of ethanol extract of bitter leaf maceration 7.8% b/b. The ethanol extract of bitter leaf tested in test animals male mice (Mus muculus L.) at all doses provide a tonic effect, and the effect will increase along with increasing doses of test substance preparation.
