Abstract

Nowadays internet usage can not be denied has become a requirement of many people, where internet can become source of knowledge or global information giver as well as source of income. This activity is intended to find out what students of SMK Al-Madani Pontianak about the utilization of internet for education by giving insight on internet problem for education which is used as instructional media, giving insight on UU Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik (Undang Undang No 19 Tahun 2016) and about Internet CAKAP. This activity is done by way delivery of materials, giving questioner divided into two sessions, giving questioner before the material and after the material. At the end of the activity, the leaflets are distributed to give students insight into the internet for education that discusses the knowledge about the internet, its utilization and some educational sites. From the results of tests on 32 students who fill the questioner, visible students SMK AL-Madani about the understanding of the internet is 66%. After the socialization, thoroughly they increased to 89%. Income tax benefits. Abstract

Hidayatul Muslimin 1 Kubu Raya Boarding School and Ma’had Labbaik Pontianak have a problem in term of water quality. The limited quantity as well as the uncertainty of rainwater cause Hidayatul Muslimin 1 Boarding School and Ma’had Labbaik using well to use well to meet the needs of clean water. The physical quality of well water is dark brown in color because of the peat soil around both of locations. Well water is only pumped toward the reservoir without any water treatment process, thereby potentially causing diseases such as itching as well as causing yellow color in clothing and kitchen utensils. Thus, installation of water treatment unit is needed to treat well water into the clean water which is suitable for everyday use. Treatment technology used are chlorination, aeration, and filtration using clamshell media, with a processing capacity of 1000 liters. The method used is the participatory method by involving students in socialization, operation, and maintenance of water treatment installation. Abstract

Nanga Taman Village whose field was about 415 ha and produce 828 tons of corn ears annually is potential natural resource of corn in Kalimantan Barat. As only its kernel has been used before, the other parts became a waste, which is threatening surrounding environment. The corn silk was unused part of the corn which can be converted into herbal tea for keeping body healthy and cure several disease. However, the villager did not have basic knowledge and skill to utilize it. To improve their knowledge, a training course was given as part of community service in Nanga Taman Village. By having this activity, participants’ attitude toward corn silk were improved as well as it offered a solution to reduce their garbage. Keywords: Nanga Taman Village, herbal tea, corn silk

Abstract

Empaci village was underdeveloped particularly in education, public health, and economic sector. As a deprived area, support on those particular sectors were needed. Few integrated programs in education, health, and economy has been implemented to promote resident welfare. The programs started by recruiting students to play an active role to manage the programs. Most of the programs empowered local people by means of participative and communicative approach. The programs has been very successful in which it was fully supported by local government. As a result, new local public bodies have been formed including volunteer to remove illiteracy and posyandu cadres. In addition, medicinal herbal garden (toga) and commercial fishery was also erected to improve resident income. Abstract

Mempawah Hulu, which is predominantly populated by indigenous Dayak Kanayatn tribe, is one of underdeveloped sub-district in Landak Regency. The main issues are in health, education, and economic sectors, for instances: low educated villagers (the majority of the villagers do not graduate from secondary school); urgent clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS); economic condition in the middle to the low category. Therefore, the community service in this area was focused on empowering the community in those problematic sectors. To solve the issues, we heightened public role in society and enforced the authority institution which including Mempawah Hulu Regency Administration along with three local villages authorities and Puskesmas (Public Health Center) Karangan. Through these activities, not only ‘Alert Village’ was activated but also PHBS agents, ‘Alert Village’ agents, Healthy Generation (Genre) ambassador, as well as initiation of ODF hamlet were established. In the education sector, the local library was built which was associated with the establishment of the green school and study group. In the social-economic sector, a catfish cultivation group and chicken boiler cultivation group were formed as well as few entrepreneurs manufacturing products from local commodities. It was expected that the whole initiated programs would be sustainable in three villages, namely Pahokng, Caokng, and Tunang. Keywords: empowerment, alert village, entrepreneurship, Dayak Kanayatn

Abstract

The purpose of this community service was to train students of University of Muhammadiyah Pontianak in constructing crucible as metal melting instrument. Crucible stove can be used both in experiment classes and in researches. The program included preparation, instrument manufacturing, training, and reporting. Abstract

Nanga Ella Hilir is an underdeveloped and isolated village located in Melawi Regency, Kalimantan Barat. Consequently, supports in terms of economy, agriculture, education and health are needed to develop its potentials. Hence the programs involving students from University of Muhammadiyah Pontianak had been performed to promote development on that area becoming independent village. The programs included socialization and mentoring which focused on community empowerment activities in the fields of economy, education, fisheries and health. In the field of economy, koperasi management training, product processing, packaging and sales trainings was successfully taken place. In health sector, public health was promoted covering habitual healthy living, environmental sanitation, healthy latrines and water filtration. In fishery, village residents were trained to cultivate kinds of freshwater fish, install a tarpaulin pond and manufacture of fish feed. In the field of Education, local villagers were taught as apprentice to eradicate illiteracy. The programs also intended to enrich preschool teacher skills by creating APE instructional media. All programs had been successfully conducted and supervised directly by the head of the village. Abstract

Science for Society (IbM) is a program of dedication to society funded by Research and Technology Directorate of Higher Education. Ibm Leather Health Soap Making proposed by the group of Lecturers Prodi Pharmacy Faculty of Medicine UNTAN aims to help the first partner of Bidikmisi Student Enterprises Group of Pharmaceutical Technology in terms of improving skills in processing natural ingredients into skin health soap preparations. IbM proponents help provide business capital, provide guidance on making skin health soap and provide information on how to apply for permission to circulate skin health soap products. In addition, the proposer of IbM also provides pharmacy management consultancy according to the growing pharmacoeconomics and their pharmacy business will grow better in the future. The result of training, mentoring and guidance to Bidikmisi Student Enterprises Group of Pharmaceutical Technology run well and smoothly. The publication of IbM's Leather Health Soap Program publication seminar held for pharmacy students and open to the public. The hope of the seminar is the students and the general public can get knowledge about the manufacture of soap, cosmetic business opportunities such as soap and soap product registrations so that the future in West Kalimantan can appear business actors in the field of skin health soap products.Keywords: Soap, Health, Skin, IbM
