Abstract

This research aims to implement a movement sensor, temperature sensor dan sound sensor for turning on lamp automatically on public toilet. This system serves to automatically turning on the lamp when a person entering the toilet and also turning it back off when there is no one in the toilet. The hardwares used in this system are an Arduino Uno, a PIR movement sensor, a MLX90614 temperature sensor, a KY - 038 sound sensor, a relay, and a 3W LED lamp. Software used to built the program for this system is Arduino IDE where this software is using the C programming language. The final result from the test show that the PIR sensor can detect a person movement whether they are going in or out from the toilet while the KY - 038 sensor and MLX90614 sensor still have their weaknesses when trying to detect sound or temperature.

Abstract

Diabetic Retinopathy is a disease common complications of diabetes mellitus. The complications in the form of damages on the part of the retina of the eye.  The high levels of glucose in the blood are the cause of small capillaries become broke and can lead to blindness. The symptoms shown by the sufferers of Diabetic Retinopaythy (DR), among others, microaneurysms, hemorrhages, exudates, soft hard exudate and neovascularization. These symptoms are at a certain intensity can be an indicator of the phase (the level of severity) DR sufferers. There are four stages of the process of pattern recognition, namely preprocessing,feature ekstraction, feature selection and classification. On preprocessing the image do Change the RGB image into Green channel, image Adaptive Histogram Equalization, removal of blood vessels, removal of optic disks, detection of exudate. A collection from the results of preprocessing placed in the vector of characteristics by using the feature extraction of GLCM consisting of order 1 and 2, to order then conducted as input Support Vector Machine (SVM). While in SVM there are three issues that emerged, namely; How to select a kernel function, what is the optimal number of input features, and how to determine the best kernel parameters. These issues are important, because the number of features affect the required kernel parameters values and vice versa, so that the selection of the features required in building the classification system. On the research of feature extraction methods was presented GLCM, features selection, and SVM for detecting diabetic retinopathy. feature selection process using the F-Score feature to select the results of features extraction. From the results of the selection of these features is used to input the classification. The dataset used amounted to 50 data, which is divided into 2 classes, where 25 sets taken from normal retinal scans and 25 sets of the rest of the scan of the retina with diabetic retinopathy. SVM classification with feature selection to increase accuracy and computational time than lose without a selection of features with a value of 90% accuracy and computational time 0.010 seconds.

Abstract

Wireless sensor network is a technology used in supporting monitoring activities both inside and outside environment. Data communication on wireless sensor networks is done wirelessly. The Zigbee protocol is one of the protocols used in data communication on wireless sensor networks as an implementation of XBEE devices. In this study measurement of Zigbee protocol performance on XBEE devices inside and outside environment. The measurement conditions in the room are limited by the wall partition, while the outdoor conditions are line of sight. Measurements were made by sending packet data using XCTU software, by testing distance parameters, packet delay, packet loss, RSSI, and throughput with 84 Bytes packet data size. The results showed that the measurement results of XBEE Pro S2 devices that were carried out indoors were able to communicate with a maximum distance of 30 meters, while the outdoor measurements showed the communication capability of XBEE Pro S2 devices reached a maximum distance of 600 meters.

Abstract

Information and communication technology is something that is difficult to separate from human life in the present era. One example of information and communication technology is a network of proxy routers. This study uses the penetration testing method, which aims to analyze the security system of the proxy router that has been applied to Warnet Aulia.net. In analyzing network security, the Mikrotik Router is done by the method of penetration testing where the form of attacks on the network is simulated. In this study Python and Winboxpoc.py were successfully run on the Windows 10 operating system. The results of this study indicate that the network security owned by the Aulia.net cafe network still has many gaps to exploit. As for the results of some attacks, it shows serious things in terms of exploitation, such as the output of getting a proxy router password and username. Therefore, this study also provides a solution on how to prevent the mikrotik router from being exploited. Problem solving is explained using several alternative solutions, so that practitioners or network technicians are expected to be able to utilize knowledge related to the results of this study in order to secure the router.

Abstract

Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) is a research cluster that is very important to overcome problems related to the image search process. The development of internet technology and data communication has caused the number of multimedia images currently circulating to be very high. This study took the Color Moment method to carry out the feature extraction process. Before the feature extraction process, a segmentation process was carried out to separate the background image and the foreground image. Next, each background and front image is stored in the database. Method performance measurement is done by calculating the value of precision and recall. The test image used is the Wang dataset consisting of ten image classes. The test results show the level of recall or completeness of the images that were found to have increased significantly after using the K-Means segmentation process. But a high enough recall value decreases the value of precision or the comparison of true images with the image found overall. Precision values ​​decrease when compared to the CBIR method without running the K-Means segmentation.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology, especially mobile technology requires a network infrastructure that supports mobile devices. One of them is a wireless device that is WiFi (wireless Fidelity). STMIK STIKOM (STIKI) Indonesia is one of the campuses that have implemented WiFi technology to support teaching and learning activities. STIKI has installed 8 access points that are used to serve the civitas internet users. To know the performance of WiFi network in STIKI Indonesia, it is necessary to analyze the performance of WiFi network by measuring signal coverage and quality of service (QOS) analysis. In this research, coverage measurement is done by using android application WiFi Heat Mapper and QOS measurement is done by using wireshark application. The measured parameters of QOS are throughput, delay, jitter, and packet loss. Based on the measurements made the results obtained for signal coverage there are still some areas covered by a very small signal strength. Then for QOS measurement it is found that performance of WiFi network based on parameter of throughput, delay, jitter, and packet loss are in good category.

Abstract

Various public service institutions have increasingly improved their service quality. The existing constraints are corrected for the sake of consumer satisfaction. One of the public services is the clean water distribution system at Surabaya water enterprise. The water will be distributed as per the postpaid-metered or prepaid-metered recording user's clean water consumption. Exisitng postpaid-metered or prepaid-metered device in every househould must be checked by field officers regularly. This manual checking often causing problems of human errors. This study applied the Internet of Things (IoT) concept in automatic checking of postpaid-metered and prepaid-metered device in households. The customized and automatic clean water consumption recording device is built using the ESP32 module. The ESP32 will send the rest of the water consumption data to the server (cloud). This method is expected to automate solution and to create better services to the customers. The accuracy of the test results holds error tolerance value of 10.6%, in the test results with units of mL. The device is believed to be able to provide and alternative in water usage recording purpose.

Abstract

Various innovations have been developed in various sectors in industry, especially in the field of technology, one of which is the IoT (Internet of things) technology. The working principle of IOT is to control and monitor object equipped with sensors and connected to network that can later send data and even be able to communicate with other objects. One example is built prototype IOT-based refrigerator. The purpose of this study is to control the use of food ingredients (in the form of eggs and yakult) remotely. During this time users such as egg shops and yakult only receive the results sales and purchases of goods that have been made by employees, often the results of reports that are made are not in accordance with reality in the field. With these problems the authors make design of  controller using the refrigerator (eggs and yakult) using the ESP8266 microcontroller, DHT11 to measure temperature, Limit Switch is used for the process of opening and closing the valve. From the results of this research, the results are able to provide information to users in real-time, where users can find out how many items (eggs and yakult) are available in the refrigerator through an application.

Abstract

This study aims to design an academic data warehouse at Politeknik Pariwisata Bali because there are several information systems that require a system capable of handling databases of several existing information system applications and perform analysis. A data warehouse is the right solution for handling databases of several information systems that are not yet integrated. The research method begins with literature study, identification of problems, determining research objectives, designing solutions, namely designing an academic data warehouse, determining the hardware and software specifications needed, and ending with discussions and drawing conclusions. The result of this research is an academic data warehouse design that can be implemented properly. Besides, the results of this study are also accompanied by specifications for open-source hardware and software to save costs. The data warehouse design produced in this study uses a database of 3 information systems which is the main business process of a college, namely: Academic Information System, Information System for New Student Admissions, Research Information System. The three databases of the information system are internal data sources using the MySQL DBMS. The resulting academic data warehouse design uses open source software, namely: openSUSE, Pentaho Data Integration, MySQL DBMS.

Abstract

Currently, the changes in image quality resulting a low-resolution images, faded colors, and so on. This condition potentially attract irresponsible parties to take advantage of the situation for certain purposes. Nowadays, it is very easy for people to manipulate, change, or delete the original information from a digital image thus cause the authenticity and integrity of the image to be doubted. This study is conducted in a specific objective to prove the authenticity of a digital evidence for analysis by providing detailed illustrations of the role of Digital Forensics in accordance with applicable legal regulations in Indonesia using the NIST workflow. The research flow begins with uncovering the background of the problem, collecting data, making scenarios, applying the NIST method, and making conclusions. The illustration used in the scenario is a video inserted into a digital evidence. The video used in this research is the Cyanide Coffee Case with the suspect Wayan Mirna Salihin, happened in August 16, 2016 which was uploaded by Kompas TV channel on Youtube. The NIST analysis phases used several tools: Exiftools, Forevid, and Video Cleaner. The result indicates that all phases in the NIST method are correlated to each other. The result is specifically very clear in the collection phase. The discovery of hidden information causes the examination and analysis process to be more complex especially the extraction process of digital evidence in the form of images. Indeed, the use of various tools are more helpful in disclosing the existing information. This information can be seen from the results of metadata, hash value, and image sharpness from the analyzed digital evidence.
