Journal of Educational Research and Evaluation (JERE) is an interdisciplinary publication of original research and writing on education which publishes papers to international audiences of educational researchers. Abstract

The general assumption is that education as a means of acquiring knowledge and knowledge is not indisputable, but the notion that education is available only in the formalist environment is naïve, as it excludes other possibilities where education is also derived from non-formal (andragogic) educational models such as; education pasraman, ashram, pesantren, and so forth. Conservative paradigm with all its attributes, such as; educational fundalism, educational intellectualism, and educational conservatism, basically more towards the attainment of a quo-vadis form of education and harmonization, without any criticism of all pre-existing conditions and post-conditions of knowledge and awareness. This concept is basically not too far from the mere 'establishment' view of educational practices (prison education / shackles), which ultimately leads to the assumption / stigma that educational intellectualism can not be separated from the subject of interest. Then comes the libral paradigm with all its attributes that assume the main purpose of education is to preserve and improve the existing social order, by educating based on existing social reality. The culmination is anarchism of education which tends to a form of conception of the idea of how to rationalize education, eventually this paradigm tends to reject firmly existing order and construct into a more humane and moral education.

Abstract

Rudi Pujiono, 2017. Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) Untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Dan Hasil Belajar IPA Siswa Kelas V B SDN 047 Tarakan. Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Borneo Tarakan. Dibimbing oleh Kadek Dewi Wahyuni Andari dan Agustinus Toding Bua. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar IPA dengan Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) di Kelas V B SDN 047 Tarakan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan di SDN 047 Tarakan pada semester II tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V-B SDN 047 Tarakan berjumlah 32 siswa laki-laki berjumlah 18 siswa dan perempuan berjumlah 14 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh nilai aspek kognitif siklus I sebesar 56,25%  kemudian di siklus II meningkat sebesar 87,5%, Pada aspek afektif siklus I sebesar 50%  kemudian di siklus II meningkat sebesar 84,375%,. Pada aspek psikomotorik siklus I sebesar 68,75%  kemudian di siklus II meningkat sebesar 87,5%, Pada Motivasi belajar siklus I sebesar 62,5%  kemudian di siklus II meningkat sebesar 84,375%. Maka dapat dikatakan bahwa penelitian sudah berhasil dan sesuai dengan indikator keberhasilan.Kata kunci: Motivasi belajar, Hasil belajar, model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD). ABSTRACTRudi Pujiono, 2017. The purpose of this study is to improve the motivation and learning outcomes of science with the Application of Cooperative Learning Model Type Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) in Class V B SDN 047 Tarakan. The type of research used is Classroom Action research conducted at SDN 047 Tarakan in second semester of academic year 2016/2017. The subjects of the study were students of class V-B SDN 047 Tarakan amounted to 32 male students totaling 18 students and 14 students. The results of this study obtained the cognitive aspects of the first cycle of 56.25% and then in the second cycle increased by 87.5%, On the affective aspects of cycle I of 50% and then in the second cycle increased by 84.375%. On the psychomotor aspect of cycle I of 68.75% then in cycle II increased by 87.5%, On the Motivation learning cycle I of 62.5% and then in the second cycle increased by 84.375%. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana keefektifan budaya literasi di SD N 3 Banjar Jawa untuk meningkatkan minat baca siswa. Metode atau teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi: wawancara, observasi, angket, dan kuisioner. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model Miles dan Huberman, yaitu: reduksi, sajian data, dan penarikan simpulan. Dari hasil penelitian terjadi peningkatan minat baca siswa sebesar 27%. Program budaya literasi ini dikemas dengan kegiatan 15 menit membaca sebelum jam pelajaran, melaksanakan sabtu literasi, menata perpustakaan, dan menciptakan lingkungan yang kaya teks.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah Mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis kesesuaian pengelolaan pendidikan sekolah dasar berdasarkan standar nasional pendidikan di Wilayah Pesisir Tarakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan survey. yang menjadi subjek penelitian ini adalah 3 Sekolah dasar di wilayah Tarakan bagian pesisir. Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu Aspek pengelolaan pendidikan di sekolah dasar  wilayah pesisir mencakup 49 aspek, diantaranya aspek perencanaan program, pelaksanaan rencana kerja, Pengawasan dan evaluasi, kepemimpinan sekolah, sistem informasi manajemen dan penilaian khusus. Persentase kesesuaian pengelolaan sekolah mengacu pada peraturan pemerintah No 19 Tahun 2007 tentang standar pengelolaan pendidikan yaitu untuk daerah pesisir sebesar 92%. Aspek yang belum sesuai yaitu yaitu dalam hal  pemenuhan kualitas layanan dan peserta didik, kepemimpinan sekolah yang masih belum optimal serta pengelolaan sistem informasi manajemen masih belum maksimal, penyediaan sistem informasi dan komunikasi belum maksimal dan memadai.

Abstract

The purpose of this peneitian is to know the influence of constructivism approach to learning in the learning activity biographical text on eighth grade students at SMP Harapan Nusantara. To determine the effect of using constructivism approach to the learning outcomes in learning biography text in class VIII in SMP Harapan Nusantara. To determine the effect of using constructivism approach to the activities and achievement in learning biography text in class VIII in SMP Harapan Nusantara. Collecting data in this study conducted by the method of observation and testing methods / giving tasks to create a text biography. Observation methods used to assess student learning activities and testing methods used to assess student learning outcomes. In the test methods exist in the form of the initial test or pre-test, in the form of tests made text biography and post-test method is given at the end of the study. Final test or post-test given immediately after the students are given learning biography text using constructivism approach the experimental class and the control class conventional model. Based on test results obtained multivariate statistical values Pillai, Strace Wilk's Lambada Hotelling's Trace, and Roy'sLargest Root each with Fhitung = 50, 720 with significance = 0.05 dba = 2 and obtained Ftabel dbd = 80 = 3, 232 at the 5% significance level. From the data obtained by analysis of F larger than F table, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. From the analysis of the data to test the hypothesis using multi-variate statistical variance of the activity and student learning outcomes can be concluded using kosntruktivisme approach has a significant effect on activity and learning outcomes in learning biography text in class VIII in SMP Harapan Nusantara.

Abstract

This  research and development was done with the aim of developing tourism sector oriented instructional material for the tenth grade students at SMK Program Keahlian  UPW in Denpasar City. To achieve  the aim, a study was done to identify  the tourism instructional material and Indonesian  material that is relevant to the development of  Indonesian instructional material for the tenth grade students at SMK  Program Keahlian Usaya Pelayanan Wisata in Denpasar City.  In the second year, using document analysis method and panel group discussion, Indonesian instructional material for the tenth grade students at SMK  Program Keahlian Usaya Pelayanan Wisata in Denpasar City had been developed The basic framework of the material  is as follows: (1) the use of thematic  approach to cover the theme of  tourism in the Indonesian textbook, (2) the use of  text based Indonesian instructional material  development, (3) the use of scientific approach in implementing text based instructional material. The prototype  designed  has  good validity when it was judged by relevant judges. With the findings, it is suggested  that in developing  instructional material with other orientations  the instructional material development  has to be adapted to  the design of the prototype found in this study.

Abstract

The problem inthis studyis the lack ofability to appreciate the art work on PGSD FKIP-UR students who can be seen insymptoms symptoms of inability to distinguish works of craft and art works, the low ability students explain the function and meaning of craft objects in public life in accordance with the local culture local. Lack of student awards both morally and materially to the creation of creative crafts. lack of abilityin the understanding of concepts, reasoning, and problem solving, artcrafts. Based on the problems it is necessary to find away to solve the problem. Among themis to change the methods of teaching. For that in this study the researcher will apply local knowledge in the learning approach. This research was conductedasa classaction two cycles each cycleconsisted of two meetings. The application of local wisdom approach in volvesa conscious effort to engage students actively and creatively. Subjects in this study were students PGSD FKIP-UR fourth semester. Research data collection instruments consisted of observation activity sheets and sheets of faculty and students to replay the end of thetest cycle. The study was a classroom action research (CAR), this study aims to increase art appreciation fourth semester students PGSDFKIP-UR. The results of this study indicate that the application of local wisdom approach can improve student art appreciation PGSD FKIP-UR, with the average value of the initial value of 58.41 into a 84.75 in the second cycle. The average value of faculty activity also increased from an average of68.15 into 94.75. Student Activities also increased from an average of 63.24% in the first cycle to 89.80%. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis masalah efektifitas pengelolaan perpustakaan di perpustakaan STMIK STIKOM Indonesia ditinjau dari segi Context, Input, Process, dan Product, serta kendala-kendala yang dihadapi selama pelaksanaan program dan yang mungkin terjadi jika program dilanjutkan. Penelitian ini akan dilakukan di Perpustakaan STMIK STIKOM Indonesia dengan melibatkan ketua STIKI, pustakawan, dosen, dan mahasiswa. Penentuan responden ditunjuk secara stratified random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian ex post facto, dan data yang diperoleh akan dianalisis secara deskriptif-kuantitatif. Metode pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan kuisioner, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Analisis data menggunakan formula T skor yang selanjutnya dikonversi ke dalam Kuadran Glickmann. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komponen konteks, input, proses, dan produk menghasilkan kategori positif (+ + + +) yang masuk ke dalam kuadran I (sangat efektif). Pada komponen konteks, input, dan proses terdapat kendala kurang efektif pada responden kepala perpustakaan dan pustakawan, sedangkan pada komponen produk tidak ditemukan kendala.

Abstract

The research purposes to analyze: (1) improvement of student result of PGSD Unwidha and (2) student activeness to implementation of problem based learning. This research is conducted with 2 cycles. The subjects are PGSD students of Widya Dharma University Class B, force 2016 which take the basic science concept. There are 27 students. Student outcomes based on the evaluation after learning, while data implementation of problem based learning by lecturers obtained from the observation sheet of student activeness. Data analyzed on descriptively qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that (i) student outcomes increased with the success rate of 90% and (ii) students activeness achieve the optimal 77,7% categories very well. It shows that there is the increased from phase I to phase cycle II. The conclusion of this research is problem based learning model can improve learning outcomes and student activeness of PGSD Universitas Widya Dharma Klaten.

Abstract

The problem found at SMA Negeri 1 Semarapura was that the learning achievement in Biology was not yet satisfactory. This study was aimed at (1) describing the design of E-learning development, (2) describing the E-learning design quality validation result according to the expert judges and the product try out result, (3) finding out the effectiveness of E-learning developed. This study was research and development. It used Hannafin and Peck’s model. The data which were collected in this study were qualitative and quantitative data. The data were collected through document recording, questionnaire and test. The results were as follows, (1) the E-learning design for Biology subject using Hannafin and Peck’s model which covered three stages, (2) the E-learning for Biology subject that was developed was valid; (a) the result of content experts’ judgment about the content of the subject shows that the E-learning falls into very good qualification (91.4%), (b) the result of the E-learning experts’ judgment of the E-learning design shows that E-learning falls into good qualification (90.06%), (c) the result of instructional design experts’ judgment about the E-learning falls into good qualification (89.02%), (d) the result of individual try out, small group try out, and field try out show that E-learning falls into good qualification (89.93%), (89.34%), and (83.03%), (3) the effectiveness of the development shows that E-learning that was developed was effective in enhancing Biology learning achievement (tobs. = 25.89 > tc.v. = 2.390, at the 5% level of significance). That means that E-learning has proven to be effective in enhancing Biology learning achievement significantly.
