Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, schools did not open face-to-face learning services. The Ministry of Education and Culture has issued a policy learning from Home (BDR) to support the principles of the Education Policy in the COVID-19 Pandemic that the health and safety of students, educators, education personnel, families, and the community is the top priority. However, learning in Vocational School (SMK) is mostly based on practice so that BDR activities cannot be implemented. One thing that is done to overcome this is that some practicum activities can be executed using multimedia known as virtual laboratories. This study aims to conduct a need analysis for the development of a virtual laboratory for vocational school learning practices in the Covid-19 Pandemic.  The development of this virtual laboratory is based on a product-oriented learning development approach and uses a model development of William W. Lee and Diana L. Owens. The needs analysis stage consists of a needs assessment and a front-end analysis. Needs analysis is carried out to gather data about gaps and needs as well profiles of students that can be used as a basis or reference in developing virtual laboratory at the next stage. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews, and distributing questionnaires. The results showed that a virtual laboratory was needed to support practical learning for vocational students. During the Covid-19 pandemic, this virtual laboratory could be used to help students prepare themselves before entering the real laboratory.

Abstract

The development of the era and the 4.0 revolution requires universities to be able to answer challenges to face technological advances and competition in the world of work in the era of globalization. Online learning is a form of learning that can answer the times, technological advances and knowledge of learning development in universities. This study aims to design the online learning with Project Based Learning approach in the Human Performance Technology course. This study uses the R&D method in designing online learning. The online learning design is carried out using the PEDATI model. The PEDATI model itself has several design steps starting from formulating online learning, mapping material, determining asynchronous or synchronous and designing the selected learning path. Asynchronous learning at PEDATI which consists of, deepening, applying and evaluating with a project-based learning approach that has six steps. The results of the research resulted in an online learning design which consisted of formulating learning outcomes, mapping materials, making asynchronous learning flows combined with project-based learning syntax. Selection of materials, forms of discussion, assignments to evaluation forms can be arranged in such a way and combined with the LMS used. Online learning designs that are designed with the right learning activities can make learning more meaningful for students. With online learning, face-to-face learning can be a means of discussion rather than just delivering material.

Abstract

The curriculum is something that cannot be avoided in interacting with the educational environment. Covid-19, which has become a pandemic in more than 200 countries in the world, demands changes in various fields, including education, in this case the curriculum. This study aims to examine the status, all things considered, ranging from teachers, learning facilities, students and school partnerships, namely the school committee (parents of students). on the one hand, the readiness of some teachers in mastering technology is still not optimal as a demand for distance learning and the school is not yet optimal in disseminating the curriculum for independent learning or the enactment of the curriculum during the pandemic. This investigation utilizes an illustrative subjective technique which means analyzing and afterward describing the problem obviously, sourced from library research with metaphysical realism as the approach. To help understudies influenced by the pandemic and possibly left behind, instructors are required to complete a symptomatic evaluation. The aftereffects of the appraisal are utilized as the reason for choosing learning procedures and giving healing or extra exercises to understudies who are generally given up. Therefore, we need a humanistic educational approach. The concept of humanistic education aims to make humans have awareness, freedom, and responsibility as individuals but in fact live in society.
