Abstract

Abstract : Many factors are often used as a benchmark educational success. One way is to look at the success of the teaching-learning process in achieving its objectives. Another factor that plays an important role at this time is the motivation of the learners in order to prepare himself to initiate a learning process. His relationship with the motivation, it is very often encountered, especially in the scope of the lecture. As there is in fact now a student many reasons to come to the lecture room just to simply fill out the list of attendance or absenteeism. Especially for subjects who according to them are not in line with the course of study they pursue, automatically by themselves they actually underestimate the course. In the course of learning, motivation can be considered as the overall driving force within the students that cause, ensure continuity and provide direction and learning activities, so that the expected objectives can be achieved. Motivation affects the interest in learning a learner because the motivation is the driving force that is in a person to perform certain activities in order to achieve a goal.Keywords: Motivation to Learn

Abstract

This research is aimed at identifying the effect of using English songs in increasing students’ pronunciation in semester IV program in English Education program Batanghari University Academic Year 2015/2016. The population of this research is 28 students of fourth semester. The population of the research is devided into 14 students of experimental class and 14 students of control class. The experiment class is taught by using English songs technique while control class is taught by using repetition of words or practical technique. This research is experimantal research. The data are taken from pronunciation tests which are given in learning process. The result of the research shows that English songs technique can improve students’ pronunciation. It is concluded from the post-test that there is statistically difference of the mean between experimental class and control class. The mean score of experimental class is 91.78 and the mean score of control class is 84.64. it means that the mean score of experimental class is higher than control class. Post-test also indicates an improvement on students’ pronunciation after the students is taught by English songs technique. There is statistically difference on the result of t-test and t-table in which t-test is bigger than t-table, 2.29 > 2.00.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted to find out information and learning learning to the quality of study program S1 PGSD FKIP University of Jambi. This research uses survey method with correlational approach. The in place of this research is the study program S1 PGSD FKIP University of Jambi with the number of affordable population as much as 325 graduates. Data collection using questionnaire instrument. The sampling technique is done randomly with the following steps: First, calculate the target population of all PGSD S1 FKIP courses in Jambi University; second, the number of people reachable by lottery gives the order number; third, selecting 20 random people in statistics to try; Fourth, select 50 random people in the sample to sample the research. This research produces; (a) There are factors influencing the feasibility of PGSD S1 FKIP Universitas Jambi; (b) There are many things that affect the quality of graduates. The implication of this research is the effort to improve the quality that can be done by improving the motivation and study of the students of PGSD S1 FKIP Universitas Jambi.Keywords: Quality of graduates, motivation, effectiveness of learning

Abstract

This research’s aims to describe about class management and student’s motivation to learn and also to find out if there is an influence of management class on student’s motivation to learn in SMK Negeri 1 Jambi City School Year 2018/2019. This research’s take place in SMK Negeri 1 Jambi City on July 2018 with sample of 52 respondens. Research data obtained by distributing questionnaiers to students. After the questionnaiers is filled and returned to the researcher, then the researcher analyzed the data with descriptive statistics and interference statistics with data analytical techniques simple regression. The result showed that the description of class management has 73,32% quality including good catergory. Then, th decription of student’s motivation to learn has 73,25% quality including high category. While, the influence of class management on student’s motivation’s learn has 28,5% with regression’s equal Y = 47.007 + 0,462 X this is based on determination coefficient, earned value R square as much as 0,285. The result of this research is to recommend the teachers to increase the ability of management class, then the headmaster should give the training to the teachers about class management, and also to students should discussed with teachers and homeroom teacher about class management.Keywords: Class Management, Motivation To Learn

Abstract

Penelitianinidilakukandengancaramenganalisa proposal-proposal tugasakhir yang dibuatolehmahasiswa semester akhir di jurusanpendidikanbahasaInggris. Sampeldiambildari 15 proposal tugasakhir yang ditulisolehmahasiswa-mahasiswajurusanpendidikanbahasaInggris yang masihkuliah di semester kedelapan, tahunajaran 2015-2016, di FKIP Universitas Batanghari. Tujuandaripenelitianiniadalahuntukmenemukanjeniskesalahan-kesalahan grammar di proposal-proposal tugasakhirmahasiswadanseberapaseringkesalahanitudibuat. Kesalahan-kesalahan yang ditemukankemudiandiidentifikasidandiklasifikasikanmenggunakankategoritaksonomilinguistiksebagaibasisnya. Hasil yang ditemukankemudiandidefinisikanberdasarkanjeniskesalahanmorfologisdandansintaksis. Hasildaripenelitianinidiharapkandapatmembantumahasiswadanumumtentangjeniskesalahan yang umumadapadakaryatulisdanmembantumerekamemusatkanusahamerekauntukmenghindarikesalahantersebut. Dari limabelas proposal mahasiswa yang diteliti, ditemukan 378 kesalahan. Hasilmenunjukkanbahwajeniskesalahan yang paling umummunculpadakelimabelas proposal mahasiswaadalahkesalahanpenghilangan. Kesalahanpenghilanganditemukandalamjumlah yang sangatsignifikandibandingjeniskesalahanlainnya. Ditemukan 231 kesalahanpenghilangan, yang merupakan 61.1% darisemuakesalahan yang ditemukan.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to find out (1) Description of X class learning environment at SMA Negeri 8 Jambi City, and (2) Factors of learning environment which affect students learning outcomes of X Class at SMA Negeri 8 Jambi City. The type of this research was quantitative descriptive research. The population in this research was 602 students. Technique used to take sample in this research was random sampling, selected 100 students as sample of the research. Technique to collect data in this research was spreading the questionnaire to the research respondents and interviews. Technique to analyze data in this research was factor analysis by using program of SPSS Version 16. The result of research indicated that (1) learning environment variables were in enough category with average 3,91 and Response Achievement Level (TCR) equal to 78,26, and 2) There were 10 (ten) dominant factors which affected students learning environment, namely (a) Factor 1 which was given teaching method, which consisted of statement items F6.1, F6.2, F6.3, F7.2, and F7. 4, (b) Factor 2 which was given the identity of the relation between the family members, which consisted of the statement items F2.2, F2.3, and F14.3, (c) Factor 3 which was given the identity of the community life form, F9.3, F10.1, F14.1 and F14.2, (d) Factor 4 identified the learning instrument, which consisted of the statement items F9.2, F10.2, F10.3, and F12.2, (e) Factor 5 which was given the identity of the parent's understanding, which consisted of the statement items F3.1, F5.1, F5.2, and F8.4, (f) Factor 6 which was given the identity of the home atmosphere, which consisted of statement items F1.3 and F3.2 (g) Factor 7 which identified teacher relation with student, consisted of statement items F7.1, F7.3, and F12.1, (h) Factor 8 identified the school discipline, consisted of statement items F9.1, and F9.3, (i) Factor 9 identified the friends’ interactions consisted of statement items F8.2 and F13.2, and (j) Factors 10 which was given the identity of the parents’ economic status, which consisted of statement items F3.3 and F4.1.Keyword: Factor Analysis, Learning Environment, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract:  Homeschooling is one of informal education institutions the existence of which had gotten legality. Through typical learning method, Homeschooling could be an education alternative for parents and children reluctantly attending formal education. The objectives of research were to find out the Social Science learning plan in Kak Seto Homeschooling (HSKS) of Solo, to find out the assessment of Social Science learning in Kak Seto Homeschooling (HSKS) of Solo, and to find out the constraints of Social Science in Kak Seto Homeschooling (HSKS) of Solo. This study was a descriptive qualitative research with case study strategy. Techniques of collecting data employed were interview, observation, and document analysis. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data validation was conducted using triangulation. Technique of analyzing data used was an interactive model of analysis encompassing data collection, data display and conclusion drawing. From the result of research, it could be concluded that 1) tutor implemented the learning plan by developing syllabus and RPP, 2) Social Science learning was conducted in community and distance learning methods; the procedure of learning was carried out in three stages: introduction, main activity and closing, but the tutor had not implemented each stage completely yet; the method used was varied but the tutor still dominated the learning course. 3) In the assessment process, tutor used formative assessment, summative assessment and portfolio; 4) The constraints found during learning process included tutor encountered difficulty during teaching the material beyond his/her discipline, tutor found difficultly the appropriate method to attract the student interest and motivation, the lack of time effectiveness in learning.Keywords: Homeschooling, Social Science Learning.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze (1) The influence of bidikmisi scholarship allocation (cost to support study) to the learning result of  bidikmisi students at the academic year 2011 at State University of Padang, (2) The influence of peers to the learning result of bidikmisi students at the academic year 2011 at State University of Padang, (3) The influence of learning habit to the learning result of bidikmisi students at the academic year 2011 at State University of Padang, and (4) The influence of bidikmisi scholarship allocation (cost to support study), peers, and learning habit to the learning result of  bidikmisi students at the academic year 2011 at State University of Padang. This is a quantitative descriptive research, which consists of three independent variables and one dependent variable. There are 500 students as the population of this research.  The proportional random sampling technique is used to choose the sample. There are 87 bidikmisi students of the academic year 2011 as the research sample. The data collected by distribution of questionnaire to the research respondent and documentation of IPK each of research respondent taken from BAAK. The technique of data analysis is multiple regression with SPSS program Version 16. The research result shows that (1) Bidikmisi scholarship allocation (cost to support study) a significant influence to the learning result of  bidikmisi students at the academic year 2011 at State University of Padang. Indicators discipline among others the size of compensation, the whereabouts his exemplary the chief, the whereabouts rules must be and will be used as a handle, leaders courage in taking action, the whereabouts supervision the chief, the whereabouts attention to civil servants a custom that is the creation of the support to discipline. Indicators motivation among other engagement, commitment, satisfaction and turn over. Indicators productivity among other, ability, improve the result is reached, working spirit, self improvement, quality and efficiency. PT. Remco Jambi was a moving company in the fields since 1982 as industry crumb rubber until now, is a product SIR-20 with the quality of exports of sport material needs of natural rubber company supplied by farmers 100 percent from the plantation of the people in the form of rubber slab, a slab lump, cup and lump sit angina both directly and through brokers. Calculation SPPS 20 is Y = 0,433 + 0.245 X1 + 0,832 X2 + e. Thus there is a positive influence between discipline and motivation to employee productivity. Rated R square of 0.830, this shows the influence of the independent variables on the dependent variable. It also explains the variance in the independent variable of 83.10 %, while the remaining 16.90% is explained by other factors Dicipline, motivation and productivity of employees at PT. Remco Jambi high. Based on test the hypothesis in partial known together discipline and motivation influence on productivity of employees. Simultaneously known only discipline that influence productivity of employees at PT. Remco Jambi. While the motivation no impact on productivity of employees at PT. Remco Jambi. Abstract

Abstract :The study was based by low mathematics learning outcomes. This is caused by teachers who are more active in the learning process, whereas students only receive materials, frequently asked questions and noted that learning math is very boring for students. Cooperative learning model snowball drilling is one of the learning models are applied in order to give a good impact on the outcome of students' mathematics learning. The population in this study were all students of class X SMA archipelago Jambi .. Sampling using probability sampling while the sample is drawn is the class Xb and Xa, in which two classes of samples are given different treatment. From the results of research conducted an average score for the class of experiment was 67.82 with a standard deviation of 10.91 and a control class averages 62.62 with a standard deviation of 11.39. As well as from the results of hypothesis test obtained t calculate equal to 1,734 and t table of 1.684. From the calculation it is seen that t is greater t table then H1 accepted or it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of students who apply cooperative learning model Snowball Drilling better than the results of learning mathematics applying conventional teaching students in class X SMA Nusantara city of Jambi. Keywords :Learning Outcomes Mathematics , Cooperative Learning Model Drilling Snowball and Conventional Teaching
