Abstract

Supervision is a management instrument that needs attention; on this basis, the management function is improving. Madrasahs are an important part of the national education system with distinctive characteristics but are still weak in the oversight function in management. Madrasah-Based Management (MBM) is the autonomy given to madrasas to regulate all existing policies in their environment in order to achieve madrasa goals mandated by the Ministry of Religion. In practice, madrasas are given full authority to regulate learning curriculum management, student management, infrastructure management, personnel management, financial management, public relations management, and special services management. This study aimed to explore strengthening the supervision of madrasah-based management at the State Aliyah Madrasah in rural areas. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. The research location is at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Serang. They are collecting data using interviews and observation, and literature study. Data validity used triangulation techniques, while analysis used narrative techniques. The results show that the supervisory function of madrasah-based management includes weak team performance, limited infrastructure, curriculum, funding and teacher ranks. The research implies that the stronger supervision of madrasah-based management in rural areas will improve the quality of madrasah.

Abstract

The learning process needs a special strategy, especially in this case about the practice of prayer in children with special needs (children with disabilities). Therefore, children with disabilities need direction and guidance from teachers so that they can understand the learning of prayer practices in accordance with the conditions they experience. For this reason, the purpose of this study is the learning strategy of PAI teachers in the practice of praying for children with disabilities. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The subject of this study was a teacher of PAI subjects at SLBN Palangka Raya, while the informants were school principals and students with disabilities, data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, the validity of the data was carried out using triangulation of sources and techniques, while data analysis was carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the learning strategy of Islamic Religious Education teachers in the practice of praying for children with disabilities at SLBN 1 Palangka Raya uses an individual learning strategy consisting of planning, including the preparation of RPP and PPI as well as learning resources. Meanwhile, the implementation, which includes teachers using individual strategies and is face to face, the methods used in learning are demonstrations, lectures, questions and answers, commands, and repetitions, while the media includes prayer videos, pictures about prayer practices, and prayer readings. Abstract

This study aims to determine the mapping of the development and direction of Islamic Religious Education research in publications indexed by scopus data. This study used bibliometric analysis techniques to explore all publications indexed in the Scopus database on Teacher-Based Islamic Religious Education from 1980 to 2023. The data obtained were analyzed using Microsoft Excell and R/R-Studio. VOSviewer is used to perform visual analysis of keyword occurrence and document citations stimulantly. The author found 564 publications that fit the function, subject, and criteria set. The limitation of this study is only taking data sets or metadata to publications indexed by Scopus. Other national and international databases were not taken into account in the study. This study presents a brief overview of the literature that can be accessed by researchers working in the field of Islamic Religious Education and provides recommendations for research.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the discipline of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers at SMP Negeri 28 Medan and find out the extent to which the discipline of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers improves student character. The method used is a qualitative descriptive technique, and the type of research is field research. As the main data source, interviews with Islamic Religious Education teachers were used to collect information, followed by observations on PAI teachers' disciplinary practices and student character that could be improved. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or validation. The results showed that PAI teachers are quite disciplined, but not all student character development can be improved. By obeying school rules by arriving on time, student discipline can be improved. PAI instructors who carry out their main duties can increase student accountability. Consequently, when a teacher is strict with students, the value of discipline and responsibility of students will increase. This research contributes by providing input to schools on how to establish cooperation between teachers and parents so that character education in children is maximally strengthened.

Abstract

This research aimed at finding out how administration staff did their technical competences in managing web-based information systems at State Islamic Senior High School 3 Pekanbaru. The foci of this research were 1) “how was the management of web-based information systems at State Islamic Senior High School 3 Pekanbaru?”, and 2) “how was the implementation of the technical competences of administration staff in managing web-based information systems at State Islamic Senior High School 3 Pekanbaru?”. It was qualitative descriptive research. Interview, observation, and documentation were the techniques of collecting data. The data in this research were analyzed with the steps—data collection, data reduction, data display, drawing conclusions, and verification. The object was the technical competences of administration staff in managing web-based information systems at State Islamic Senior High School 3 Pekanbaru. The subjects of this research were administration staff at State Islamic Senior High School 3 Pekanbaru. The informants in this research were the head of administration staff and 1 administration staff in the computer data center field as the main informants. The research findings indicated that, web-based information system management was carried out by system planning, system design, system implementation, system control, and system maintenance. In the management of web-based information systems at State Islamic Senior High School 3 Pekanbaru, administration staff carried out their technical competencies—working based on the task field of computer data center, and being skilled in using hardware and web-based information system software. Based on the findings obtained, it was necessary to improve work procedures, it could be with the existence of a clear standard operational procedure, in term of managing web-based information in Islamic schools. To the government, the ministry of religion in the field of Islamic school education and staff was necessary to consider the simplification of the web-based information service system based on the functions and objectives of the information system implemented for efficiency and benefit of technology in educational administration.

Abstract

This research aims to find a culture-based model of humanist-religious values ​​education at PTKIN Banda Aceh, to find the development of a culture-based humanist-religious values ​​education model at PTKIN Banda Aceh and to find out the development of positive attitudes in humanist-religious education at PTKIN Banda Aceh. Based on the problem formulation and research objectives, this research seeks to find out, describe and reveal a phenomenon in the development of a culture-based religious humanistic value education model at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTIK) UIN Arraniry Banda Aceh, as well as trying to reveal the facts that led to the implementation of activities whether it goes well or not, so that the phenomenon of the impact or consequences of these activities can be read through this study. This research method is qualitative descriptive research. Qualitative descriptive research is a research method that attempts to describe and interpret objects according to what they are. The source of data collection for this research is observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research are that lecturers provide a model of respect for students and do not adopt an authoritarian attitude towards students. Authoritarian attitudes can damage humanistic values ​​with an Islamic religious culture, lecturers are proactive in encouraging students at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTIK) UIN Arraniry, in developing models of humanistic value education for students who are currently studying at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTIK). UIN Arraniry and religious culture in higher education are highly recommended to be developed by lecturers and students regarding humanistic values ​​education.

Abstract

Character education must be applied holistically in an educational institution, not only in the form of incidental activities utilizing cognitive learning or only through symbols. It is necessary to integrate holistic character values, one of which is in learning and through school culture. Strengthening character in elementary school students is not enough just with advice and lectures but must be made systematically with the learning process and activities at school. The purpose of this study is to describe the integration of character in school culture-based Islamic Religion Education learning. This research design used a qualitative design with purposive sampling at SD Darul Amal Jampangkulon, Sukabumi Regency. Data collection techniques were interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the integration of character education was carried out by habituation and internalization of character in Islamic Religion Education learning based on 6 pillars of character. The integration of character education in Islamic Education based on school culture is proven to build better student character. This is evident from the results of the Sibanu questionnaire which shows the progress of students' character development while in the family environment.

Abstract

Islamic education is a process of changing individual and communal behavior. Educational moderation is the bright path to the harmony of social, ecological, and spiritual relations. The purpose of this paper is to know the development map and research direction of Islamic moderate education. The research data is 96 articles obtained from the Scopus database, without taking into account data from other databases such as Google Scholar or WoS, from 2001 to 2023. Research data are selected and determined based on the functions and criteria set. The findings were analyzed by bibliometric analysis techniques using Excel, VOSviewer, and R/R-Studio with biblioshiny. The results of this study showed an annual article growth rate of 8.49%. The most publicity occurred in 2021. Indonesia is the country that contributes the most articles with 31 documents. Affiliation is held by the University Kebangsaan Malaysia. The most prolific authors were Adib-Hajbaghery, Hamzah, Paradise, and Razak

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has an important role in shaping the character and morals of individuals, especially in the Taklim Assembly environment, which is often a place to learn Islamic religion and culture. The internalization of PAI values in learning at Majelis Taklim has a significant impact on learners' personal and social development. This study aims to identify strategies for internalizing PAI values in learning at Majelis Taklim. The data in this study were obtained from a literature study to understand the theoretical basis of Islamic Religious Education, the internalization strategy of PAI values, and Majelis Taklim. Primary and secondary data were obtained from research papers that have been published in national and international journals with high credibility from Sinta 5 to Scopus. Data analysis in this study goes through several processes, first collecting data obtained both from interviews, and documentation, after which the data is grouped according to its type, then describing it into units, synthesizing, compiling into patterns, and ending with making true conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the strategy of internalizing PAI values in learning at Majelis Taklim involves interaction between teachers, curriculum, social interaction, and technology. By integrating these factors, Majelis Taklim can be an effective environment to internalize PAI values in the lives of learners. Thus, this study can serve as a guide for the development of PAI learning programs in Majelis Taklim and similar educational institutions.
