Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of guidance and counseling teachers in fostering social interaction of students at Yapimda Middle School in Jakarta. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Namely the author looks for information and data as much as possible according to what it is at the time of the study conducted which is closely related to the role of teacher guidance and counseling in fostering student social interaction. The data and sources of data in this study were principals, guidance and counseling teachers and students of South Jakarta Yapimda Middle School, totaling 150 students as a population, consisting of classes VII, VIII and IX. The author assigns students from class VII, amounting to 35 students, and class VIII totaling 35 students to be used as research samples, so that the entire study sample was 70 students. The research instruments used in this study were questionnaires, interviews with school principals and guidance and counseling teachers and observations on the state of the school environment. Data analysis techniques are carried out by means of data collected through questionnaires, analyzed, summed according to the type, then analyzed, interpreted to be concluded as the results of the study. The conclusion of this study shows that "the role of teacher guidance and counseling in fostering social interaction of students at Yapimda Junior High School (SMP) Jakarta, is included in the Enough category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of mathematical logical intelligence and students' critical thinking skills on mathematics learning achievement. The method used is a survey. Data collection techniques were carried out by taking UTS values ​​for mathematics learning achievement, spreading test questions for mathematical logical intelligence, and test questions for critical thinking skills. The population is class VII MTs Tanwirul Qulub, the sample is 38 students, with the sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. Requirements test data analysis using normality test with chi squared with the results of all data are normally distributed and linearity test with the results of all linear pattern data. The results of the study obtained F_count > T table or 11.35> 3.27 at the 0.05 significance level, which means that there is the influence of mathematical logical intelligence and the ability to think critically together on mathematics learning achievement. Conclusions: (1) There is the influence of mathematical logical intelligence and critical thinking skills on mathematics learning achievement, (2) There is the influence of mathematical logical intelligence on mathematics learning achievement, and (3) There is the influence of critical thinking skills on mathematics learning achievement

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) technique of cooperative learning with the help of learning media Electronic Control System in improving the competency of class XII students in the expertise of Electrical Power Engineering in KARAWANG STATE VOCATIONAL SCHOOL on electronic control system subjects. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle in this study consists of four stages of implementation, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection was carried out using the instruments of affective observation sheets, psychomotor observation sheets, as well as pre-test and post-test instruments. The data analysis technique used is by reducing data, data exposure, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed an increase in student competence in the affective, psychomotor, and cognitive aspects after the implementation of the cooperative learning method of the STAD technique with the help of learning media Electronic Control Systems. In the affective aspect there was an increase of 48.21%, with the percentage of affective aspects of students in the first meeting amounting to 56%, increasing to 83% at the sixth meeting. In the psychomotor aspect there was an increase of 22.15%, with the psychomotor mean of students on job sheet 1 amounting to 67.66, increasing to 82.65 on job sheet 4. In the cognitive aspect there was an increase of 110.9%, with a value the average pre-test cycle 1 was 38.53, increasing to 81.26 in the post-test cycle 2.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out that intrapersonal intelligence has a positive influence on students' mathematical reasoning abilities in the 258 Jakarta Middle School. In addition, the author tries to prove Gardner's opinion that intrapersonal intelligence is not a superior need compared to other intelligences. Survey research method with data analysis techniques using random sampling techniques. The number of samples used was 72 students. In the normality test using Chi-square test, some conclusions can be drawn as follows: The results of the study show that the results of significant regression testing with F test obtained F count = 2.47 by taking a significance level of a = 5% and F table = 2.0 so that F count> It can be concluded that there is a significant effect of intrapersonal intelligence on students 'mathematical reasoning abilities and the contribution of intrapersonal intelligence to students' mathematical reasoning abilities of 8.032%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of using Picture and Picture methods in an effort to improve student learning outcomes in science subjects. The subjects of this study were in the 7.3 class with 43 people. In SMP Negeri 8 Kota Bekasi, for 6 months, from January to June 2017. The design of this study uses the method of Stephen Kemmis and Robin M Taggart which consists of 2 cycles, each cycle includes 3 meetings, and each cycle includes 4 steps namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Indicators of success are seen from increasing understanding of concepts, activeness, and learning outcomes of students. The instruments used in this study were test questions, and classroom observations. The results showed an increase in learning outcomes after Classroom Action Research. In the first cycle, it was seen from 43 students in the 7.3 class who achieved KKM of 76 as many as 33 students with 76% completeness. And we see the improvement in learning outcomes in cycle 2, out of 43 students in the 7.3 class who achieved KKM of 76 as many as 39 students with 91% completeness.

Abstract

. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Generative learning models on students' mathematical critical thinking skills in quadratic connection material. The research method used is the experimental method, with a sample of 30 students, using simple random sampling techniques, and techniques for retrieving data sourced from library documents and giving essay tests and data analysis techniques using the t-test. In the normality test using the Liliefors test and homogeneity test using the Fisher test, it was concluded that the data were nomal and homogeneous. In the homogeneity test obtained Fcount (1,072) <Ftable (1.86). In testing the hypothesis by using the t-test obtained tcount (5.96)> t table (2.00), so it can be said that there is a significant effect of the Generative learning model on students' mathematical critical thinking abilities. This shows that the Generative learning model influences students' critical thinking skills mathematically.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in activities and learning outcomes of chemistry of students by using concept maps through STAD type cooperative learning at SMK Negeri 1 Karawang. The method used was action research or class action. The sample used in this study is class X TP 1 with 32 students. Data collection techniques used were observation and tests. The results of this study indicate that the average activity desired (On Task) students in the first cycle amounted to 52.92, the second cycle was 65.83 and in the third cycle was 73.75. The average activity that is not desired (Off Task) of students in the first cycle is 53.75, the second cycle is 38.33 and the third cycle is 26.67. This data shows that the use of concept maps through STAD type cooperative learning is able to increase the desired activities (On Task) of students (an increase of 20.8%). From the data the learning results obtained that the average test scores of students in the first cycle amounted to 73 , 99 (with learning completeness 67.44), cycle II was 75.95 (with mastery learning 72.45, cycle III was 77.16 (learning completeness was 76.35) .This data shows that the use of concept maps through cooperative learning STAD type is able to improve learning outcomes of students' chemistry subjects. In the third cycle data obtained increases the activity of participants the average learning outcomes of students have achieved the success indicators that have been set before the study was conducted. Thus the next cycle does not need to be done.

Abstract

: This study aims to determine the effect of Wankat and Oreovocz problem solving strategies on cognitive abilities in Newton's legal concepts and their application. This research was conducted at the State High School 08 in Bogor City. In this study, the experimental class was class X MIA 2, while the control class was class X MIA 1. Determination of the sample in this study was based on purposive sampling technique. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method. The study took place in the first semester of the 2015-2016 school year. The instrument used is a test instrument in the form of a subjective test. Based on test data analysis, it was concluded that there was an influence of Wankat and Oreovocz's problem solving strategies on cognitive abilities in Newton's legal concepts and their application. This is based on the results of hypothesis testing using the t-test for N = 31 for the posttest data. Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.001, while the significance value is 0.05 or Sig. (2-tailed) <0.05

Abstract

This study aims to improve the logarithmic competence of class X IPA students with active learning strategies in Narada Jakarta High School students. The research method used is classroom action research through 2 cycles and in each cycle includes activities of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results showed an increase in mastery of this competency starting from the first cycle of students can increase by 28% from the initial conditions of the conditions in the first cycle after the action in the second cycle increased by 30%. From the results of this class action research the researcher recommends policy making or implementing learning in this case, namely the instructor to teach learning material in small groups and with techniques to activate students

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of discipline and commitment to the task of understanding students' mathematical concepts. In this study, survey research methods were used. Multiple regression analysis was performed with ANOVA statistics (variance analysis). The results of the study concluded: (1) There is no significant direct influence in the discipline of understanding Mathematical concepts with t-count = 1 082 <1,980. (2) There is a significant direct effect of commitment to the task of understanding mathematical concepts with t-count = 2,248> 1,980. (3) There is a significant direct effect of discipline on commitment to the task is t-count = 3.936> 1.980. (4) There is an insignificant indirect influence in the discipline of understanding mathematical concepts through commitment to the task is t-count = 0.936 <1.980. Efforts to improve understanding of mathematical concepts in students are carried out with discipline and commitment to the tasks students have in the teaching and learning process.  Keywords: Discipline, Commitment to tasks, Understanding of Mathematical Concepts.
