Abstract

The development of handicrafts in Indonesia is now experiencing such a rapid pace, especially those oriented to various modern technological facilities lately. Accompanying all human needs that are passive and have an active function, furniture or household furniture products are the main choice in various worlds of property today, both domestically and abroad. The relationship between craft art and several aspects that must be met shows the existence of a problematic in its embodiment. This is probably not realized by the kriyawan who appear instantly and oriented to a market. It's the same with craftsmen in Mulyoharjo Village, although there are those who have the idea of working through an artistic instinct and become unconventional craft craftsmen in their social community.

Abstract

Artikel ini merupakan hasil riset bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan leksikon yang rangkuman informasi beragam  terkait istilah-istilah seni rupa bidang seni lukis klasik wayang Kamasan, seni ukir, dan tekstil di Bali. Adapun sebagai sub-sistem, seni lukis klasik wayang Kamasan, seni ukir, dan tekstil mengandung berbagai unsur saling berkait yakni   konsep keindahan yang menjadi arahan, teknik yang dicari, disebarkan dan dikembangkan untuk memberi bentuk kepada konsep-konsep keindahan, ada seniman/pengerajian  yang mengelola pembuatan karya, penularan keahlian, teknik, fungsi, makna, dan peristiwa kesejarahan.  Teori yang digunakan adalah linguistik struktural, leksikologi dan leksikografi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni metode kajian pustaka, wawancara, dan lawatan sejarah yang dilanjutkan dengan  teknik pencatatan. Dalam metode analisis data pemilihan elemen penentu dengan teknik korelasional dilanjutkan teknik analisis induktif dan deduktif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya leksikon khas yang digunakan oleh seniman/pengerajin seni lukis klasik wayang Kamasan, seni ukir, dan tekstil di Bali.  Leksikon tersebut terdiri dari tiga katagori, yakni alat dan bahan, proses pembuatan, dan estetika. Leksikon ketiga bidang seni rupa tersebut juga memiliki dua katagori fungsi yakni sebagai pemberian nama dan sebagai proses pembuatan. Begitu juga pada ragam penggambaran/motif memiliki nilai budaya berdemensi vertikal (religi dan kepercayaan) serta nilai budaya berdemensi horisontal meliputi nilai tradisi, nilai perasaan dan kedamaian, berorientasi alam, nilai kesejahteraan, dan nilai sosial.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe Javanese society has a harmony concept which has become an interesting tradition part in live. The Javanese people, especially  the Surakarta society, have a belief in the world philosophy (universe), consisting of the great universe ( macrocosmos) and small universe ( microcosmos). The microcosmos cannot be separated from the great macrocosmos which must be kept its harmony with  their lives, so the ritual elements of the small universe. Therefore, the art isi always connected with their lives, so the ritual elements consist in the traditional art. The art has three functions known in Javanese society, that is for a ritual purpose and a show purpose with entertaining characteristics for the inner satisfaction in the society. Moreover, the traditional artwhich is formed in the usage art, like the custom clothes, tools / instruments, ornaments and others functioning as ritual purposes, have definitely had the important value symbols in the society, or as the tools to support the ritual implementation in the society.The art of Tritik and Jumputan craft also contains the teachings of ethics and aesthetics in the form of visual appearances and symbolism of life which can basically lead humans to perfection and true identity.Keywords: Jumputan,Tritik, The custom ceremony, traditional  ABSTRAKMasyarakat Jawa memiliki konsep keselarasan yang merupakan bagian tradisi yang penting dalam kehidupan. Orang Jawa, khususnya masyarakat Surakarta memiliki keyakinan dalam pandangan dunia (jagat), yang terdiri dari jagat gede (makrokosmos) dan jagat cilik (mikrokosmos). Mikrokosmos menjadi yang tidak terpisahkan dengan makrokosmos yang harus dijaga keselarasannya dengan unsur-unsur jagat cilik. Oleh sebab itu, seni selalu dikaitkan dengan kehidupannya, sehingga unsur ritual terdapat dalam seni tradisional. Kesenian memiliki tiga fungsi yang dikenal dalam masyarakat Jawa, yaitu untuk tujuan ritual, untuk tujuan tontonan yang bersifat entertaintment kepuasan batin dalam masyarakat. Apalagi kesenian tradisional yang berbentuk seni pakai, seperti pakaian adat, peralatan, hiasan, dan sebagainya dalam fungsinya sebagai kepentingan ritual, sudah barang tentu memiliki simbol-simbol yang bernilai dalam masyarakat, ataupun sebagai sarana untuk mendukung pelaksanaan ritual dalam masyarakat. Seni kerajinan tritik dan jumputan ini juga termuat ajaran etika dan keindahan yang berbentuk  penampilan visual dan simbolisme hidup yang pada dasarnya dapat menuntun manusia menuju kesempurnaan dan jati diri yang sejati.Kata kunci : Jumputan, Tritik, Pakaian Adat, Tradisional

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify how Cimahi batik is a form of cultural identity. So that the younger generation, especially the people of Cimahi City, can know and appreciate the form of cultural heritage in the form of one of the city's identities. The research method used is a qualitative method by analyzing the data found. This study uses a literature/library study approach in which the data comes from various literatures, both in print and electronic media related to cultural identity in the form of urban batik in the view of anthropology. This is motivated by the swift currents of globalization which can cause cultural shifts. Even the cultural identity of an area can be lost if it is not preserved. So this research is expected to increase the sense of respect and pride in the existing cultural identity.

Abstract

This research was conducted to create a method for dyeing trick using Direct dyestuff. The developed coloring is staining using thickener but not used through printing. The study is concentrated on the results of the dyeing process on tricks with Direct dyestuff with thickener. The method used is descriptive qualitative in the discussion of the coloring results. From the results of this study, it was found that dyeing with Direct dyestuff using a thickener in the manufacture of tritik fabric produced tritik motifs. The sharpness of the resulting motif varies at each level of thickener concentration. The thickener concentrations used in this study were 5 g/l, 20 g/l, 35 g/l, 50 g/l, 65 g/l, and 80 g/l, for every 1 liter of dye solution. With a low thickener concentration, the tritik motif looks less sharp, the color aging is higher, and the staining results look more even. The unevenness that arises due to the use of high concentrations of thickener is seen to form a marble-like pattern. The sharpness of the resulting motif in this staining does not always correspond to the high concentration of the thickener. Variations in the non-sharpness of the colored motifs can also appear on one piece of tritik fabric that is produced.

Abstract

Branding is introducing an image of both services and physical products, the process taken must have a strategy and preparation of measurable time targets. There are many ways to introduce a product, which is the current trend of the 4.0 era where most transactions and information are traded in the IoT-based world. Local tourism has now developed, by utilizing the potential of the surrounding nature and then being developed as the basis for the products offered, improvements are made in various sectors to support the display to boost publications, of course with a communication angle. The need for researchers to take steps to dissect the flow in building a publication concept in the form of a realistic road map with applied strategies and analysis combined with good publication management is the core of the research carried out. The design thinking method is applied to dissect what strategic steps will be used in determining the core of the publication with impact factors. Local tourism branding and publication strategies are influenced by engagement from the psychological model of one touch flayer of social media users related to the happynest side factor that affects the pattern of attractive content with a high response rate and saddnes side factor which is empathetic with a low response rate.

Abstract

This research is motivated by Catholics who come to church increasingly do not understand the meaning and message contained in the church building, even though the symbols and everything contained in the church building are made not only as decoration, but every part in the church has meaning. related to Catholic life. One church that has a message framed in the form of a painting in its interior is the Catholic Church of St. Antonius in Kotabaru, Yogyakarta. The paintings on the walls of this church have very interesting forms, functions, and meanings because they are related to the contents of the holy book of the Gospel of John. This study aims to determine the form, function, and meaning of the painting on the interior of the altar of the Catholic Church of St. Antonius Kotabaru, Yogyakarta. The results of the study are as follows, the form of painting on the church wall is a decorative painting. The function of painting is to beautify the interior of the church room, as an identity for the Catholic church that uses elements of regional inculturation in the interior of the room, and as a medium of da'wah in introducing the holy book of the Gospel of John to Christians. The form of the painting has a meaning, that a leader should know the needs of the community, just as Jesus knew the needs of his people.

Abstract

The creation of this final project is based on knowledge about changes in human relations with rivers, especially the Bengawan Solo river, whose impact can now be felt by living things that live around the Bengawan Solo River and its tributaries. The purpose of this Final Project is to create a silk screen work that takes inspiration from changes in human relations and the Bengawan Solo river, which indirectly explains the concept of creation, the process of creation, and the aesthetics of the shape of the created silk screen work. The creation of this Final Project provides more insight into the tools, materials, and techniques of working on work. The results obtained from the creation of this Final Project are silkscreen and the deepening of the concept of changing human relations and the Bengawan Solo river, which is expected to be useful for writers and other people who appreciate the works of this Final Project.

Abstract

TThe purpose of this research and art creation is to create and present artworks with “Toya Campuhan: Water and Human Civilization” as the source of inspiration. World civilization, especially in ancient Bali, has emerged and developed around water as its source of life. Water sources, such as river confluences, act as a pulse, supporting the joints that contribute significantly to various parts of physical and spiritual life. Due to this, water must be conserved, so that they always provide benefits for the journey of human life far into the future. However, the current condition of rivers in Bali is really worrying, as various pollutants pollute them. Slowly but surely, the water condition will worsen if we continue to let it be. This evokes my empathy, emotion, and hope about a healthy river confluence as a mission that I wanted to convey through the creation of this painting. This creation model becomes a cultural expression as a medium for increasing public appreciation to raise the spirit of ecological resilience over the problem of water pollution. This creation is based on research, where the method consists of two parts, namely the research method and the creation method. The research method uses an anthropological approach, especially related to ethnography. Meanwhile, the creation method passes through three stages: exploration, improvisation, and the embodiment of the work, which is preceded by a study of similar works of art and literature review.

Abstract

Playing is something that is very popular with children because playing is an activity that can build motor nerves and children's growth and development. Design of the puzzle game designed is a research based on a quantitative approach due to the transition from a pandemic to an endemic period after the decline in the spread of the covid-19 virus. This puzzle game is designed not only to provide games for elementary school children but also to increase the intelligence of thinking for these children. The design of this puzzle game uses quantitative data collection and 5W 1H analysis methods. The results of this game design can later be downloaded via the link provided.
