Abstract

THE EFFECT OF VOCABULARY MASTERY ON ESSAY WRITING SKILLS DESCRIPTIONThe purpose of this study was to determine the effect of vocabulary mastery on description essay writing skills. The method used is a quantitative method with a causal technique. The data of this study were obtained by using multiple choice tests for vocabulary mastery variables and description tests for variable description writing skills. The population in this study were students of grade IV 03 Karangtengah State Elementary School, Babakanmadang, Bogor Regency, totaling 66 students. The sample used was 40 students, obtained by calculation using the Taro Yamane formula. Simple regression analysis and correlation techniques produce a relationship model that is expressed in the form of a regression equation that is Ŷ = (49 + 0.4X), with a price of 38.808 greater than the real level of 0.05 at 4.01 and contributions based on research results of 90%. Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant influence between vocabulary mastery of the writing essay skills in students.

Abstract

REPRESENTATION OF UNDERSTANDING THE CONCEPT OF FRACTION ASSESSED FROM GENDER DIFFERENCES IN PRIVATE VOCATIONAL SCHOOL STUDENTS FOR CLASS IVThis research is a qualitative study that aims to describe the representation of the understanding of the concept of decimal fractions for male and female students as well as differences in the representation of understanding the concept of decimal fractions between male students and female students. This study took 9 (nine) informants, consisting of three male students and three female students. Two teachers and one principal. The data collection method uses in-depth interview techniques. observation and documentation. The interview technique was conducted in a structured manner using interview guidelines. The data analysis technique used three components, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the representation of the conceptual understanding of male students is slow in accepting the material because male students tend to be indifferent and play more. The understanding of the concept of decimal fractions for female students is more improved, because female students pay more attention to the material while studying so that female students understand it more quickly, while the difference is that there is a difference in the level of understanding of male and female students. This difference is due to internal factors, namely self-awareness of understanding how important it is to learn to develop oneself and provision to live life and also external factors, which can be in the form of stimuli from other people, or the surrounding environment that can affect the psychology of the person concerned.

Abstract

APPLICATION OF THE CENTER METHOD IN THE LEARNING PROCESS OF ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION IN SHAPING EARLY CHILDHOOD CHARACTERSThe purpose of this study is to explore the impact of using the application of the center method in Islamic Religious Education learning on the formation of children's character. Fun parenting and education patterns for children can greatly contribute to shaping their character, so there needs to be efforts from education practitioners to find forms of learning that are in line with the development of today's children who live in the dimension of modernity. Sentra is an application that is oriented towards changing the morality, mental and intellectual of children for the better. The research method uses a qualitative approach, where data collection techniques use interview, observation, and documentation schemes. The research was carried out at Raudatul Athfal ABATA in the Karawang area of West Java. The collected data was then analyzed using a descriptive inductive analysis approach. The results of the study show that the learning process using seven central components 1) preparation, 2) beams, 3) art, 4) big roles, 5) natural materials, 6) body exercises, and 7) imtak, contributed significantly in strengthening cognitive aspects, psychomotor, and social interactions of children. In addition, the internalization of this method in the PAI learning process can bridge the formation of character towards religious students. The main key to the success of using this method is consistency of activity.

Abstract

STRATEGIES AND INNOVATIONS FOR ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (PAI)  TEACHERS IN INCREASING STUDENT LEARNING MOTIVATION DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMICThis study seeks to explore the learning process of PAI student learning during the Covid-19 pandemic and how the strategies and innovations of Islamic Education teachers in increasing students' motivation. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the government currently made a policy so that students learn online (online) using internet-based media (online) or commonly called PJJ (Distance Learning), causing students to be required to learn from home (BDR) without can PTM (Face-to-Face Learning) at school or in class directly. This condition certainly greatly affects the student's learning motivation which is decreasing, due to ineffectiveness and the lack of interactive and communication between teachers and students during PJJ. This research method uses qualitative research methods and data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews and documentation where the object of research is the PAI teacher and students of class X IPA 6 at SMAN 5 Karawang. This research shows that there has been a decrease in student motivation during the COVID-19 pandemic with an indicator that many students are not present when the teacher delivers PJJ material and assignments are not done on time, and some do not even do assignments at all. The development of learning strategies carried out by PAI teachers included always attending students during PJJ, assessing the results of student assignments, and invoicing students who had not submitted assignments. Meanwhile, learning innovations made by PAI teachers are implementing PJJ using varied and innovative applications such as Google Mail, Google Internet, Google Classroom, Google Forms, Google Drive, Google Meet, Zoom Meet, Youtube, WhatssApp, PDF and Microsoft Power Point.

Abstract

THE EFFECT OF SENTENCE STRUCTURE MASTERING ON EXPOSITION WRITING ABILITY IN CLASS V ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS TAMABONGONG INPRESThe purpose of the study was the effect of mastery of sentence structure on the ability to write exposition in fifth grade students of Inpres Tamabongong Elementary School. This type of research is quasi-experimental because in this study no specific treatment was given, but only revealed the symptoms that had existed when this research was conducted, so there was no direct control over the independent variables. The sample in quantitative research is part of the population in a study. The number of samples in this study were 15 students. Data collection methods used are learning outcomes tests and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the first by using a descriptive statistical approach and linear regression. The results showed that 1) The mastery of sentence structure was based on the results of the categorization of mastery of sentence structure in students, it was found that they were still in the category of scores of 14-20, scores of 26-30, and at scores of 14-20 whose mastery of sentence structure had not increased like the others. While in the posttest, 14 people were found to be moderate and there was 1 person whose mastery of sentence structure got better who was in the high category. 2) The results of data analysis obtained a probability value (p-value) of 0.042. Because the probability value (p-value) is less than 0.050, it means that the regression model in this study can be said that X (mastery of sentence structure) is dependent on Y (ability to write expository essays).

Abstract

THE EFFECT OF THE USE OF PROBLEM BASED LEARNING MODEL ON THE RESULTS OF LEARNING SUBTEMA HOW THE BODY CREATES CLEAN AIRThe Effect of Using Problem Based Learning Model on Learning Outcomes of the Subtheme How the Body Processes Clean Air. Thesis of Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Pakuan University, 2021. This research is a quasi-experimental research. This study aims to determine the difference in learning outcomes of the subtheme of How the Body Processes Clean Air through the use of Problem Based Learning Models for Class VB students and Conventional Learning Models for Class VA students. This research was conducted at Bangka 03 State Elementary School, Bogor City, Class VA and Class VB from July to August in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. Calculation of N-Gain Problem Based Learning model is 81 with high criteria, and the conventional model value is 70 with medium criteria. So that the N-Gain in the experimental class with the Problem Based Learning model is greater than the control class with the conventional model. Researchers conducted a normality test with the Liliefors test, both samples were normally distributed because the values for both samples were smaller than Ltable. In the Problem Based Learning class group, the value of Lcount Ltable is 0.139 0.161, in the control class group the Lcount Ltable is 0.058 0.161. Then in the homogeneity test, the data is homogeneous because Fcount Ftable, the value is 1.35 1.88. Furthermore, in hypothesis testing, it was found that tcount of 14.59 was greater than ttable of 2.00404, indicating that H0 (zero hypothesis) was rejected and Ha (alternative hypothesis) was accepted. Based on the research above, it can be stated that there are differences in the learning outcomes of the first learning through Problem Based Learning and Conventional Learning Models..

Abstract

THE EFFECT OF THE APPLICATION OF THE DISCOVERY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF SUB-THEME 1 OF THE WEALTH OF ENERGY SOURCES IN INDONESIAThe Effect of “Application Influence Discovery Learning Model on Learning Outcomes Subtheme 1 Wealth Energy Sources in Indonesia". The approach taken is quasi-experimental design of two groups at State Elementary School 2 Cikidang Cikidang District, Sukabumi Regency which consists of 66 students, This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. The results of the study show that there is an "Influence" Application of the Discovery Learning Model to the Learning Outcomes of Subtheme 1 Wealth of Energy Resources in Indonesia. This can be seen from the N-Gain in experimental class group of 71, while the class group control gets an N-Gain value of 47. Complete learning outcomes obtained by the experimental group is 100% while in control class group by 88%. As well as the results of hypothesis testing that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted because tcount (6.9204) ttable (1.9966). With this it can be concluded that the research has a positive influence and significant between "The Influence of the Application of the Discovery Learning Model" On Learning Outcomes of Subtheme 1 Wealth of Energy Resources in Indonesia". The results of this study are expected to provide new knowledge regarding the application of learning models that innovation can improve learning outcomes.

THE PROCESS OF EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY AND ITS APPLICATION IN ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AT SMP NEGERI 3 MURUNG PUDAK, TABALONG REGENCY,  SOUTH KALIMANTAN PROVINCEThe purpose of this study is to describe correctly and realistically the process of educational technology and the application of using the WhatsApp application for Islamic religious educators at SMP Negeri 3 Murung Pudak, Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan Province. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The data from this study were obtained through interviews with PAI educators who became the main source of this research, then interviews with homeroom teachers, principals, school committees and 15 students. Observations in the form of passive participation observations and documentation as supporting data from the results of interviews. Educational technology is an urgent need during the Covid-19 pandemic. PAI educators at SMP Negeri 3 Murung Pudak try to learn and understand the use of social media in learning, such as showing pictures, films, recorders and others. The results are felt to be useful for PAI educators and students by using the advantages of social media, one of which is WhatsApp as a form of communicative interaction without protocol restrictions in the learning process.

Abstract

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED READING AND COMPOSITION (CIRC) LEARNING MODELS ON EXPOSITION WRITING ABILITY NEWS ON STUDENTS OF CLASS V SDI NO 21 BARRU DISTRICT SALOMONIThis study aims to examine the effectiveness of cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) learning model on the ability to write news expositions in grade V students of SDI No. 21 Salomoni Barru Regency. The type of research used in this research is experimental research. The research design used, namely quasi experiment form  Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. This research was conducted  in SDI No. 21 Salomoni Barru Regency. The population, namely the entire Va.  and VB students  of  42  students. Sampling techniques, namely saturated sampling.  The instrument used in this research is the task of writing simple sentences with data collection techniques, namely the assignment. The collected data is then analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics.The results showed that the ability to write news exposition using Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning in grade V students of SDI No. 21 Salomoni Barru District showed that students' understanding of writing news exposition texts showed an increase in the 9 students whose initial pretest implementation was still in the good category. While the ability to write news exposition without using Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning in grade V students of SDI No. 21 Salomoni Barru District from 22 students who participated in pretest before learning there were 12 students (54.5%) who have the ability to write news exposition texts that are in a very good categor. Furthermore, as many as 10 students (45.5%) who have the ability to write news exposition texts that are in a good categor. The results showed that in the implementation of pretest students the ability of students in writing news exposition texts is classified as effective. While in the posttest implementation after the implementation of CIRC learning obtained that the grades obtained by students are in the category of very effective. Thus, the implementation of learning using CIRC learning based on posttest results is declared effective.
