The emergence of todayâ??s role of English as an international language (EIL) and as a global lingua franca (ELF) makes English language education important in many countries. In Indonesia, for example, it has been growing a number of schools ranging from kindergarten to university level which use English as the medium of instructions.Every subject in school curriculum has different objectives including English subject. But some students donot realize that, learning English is really important in their life. It makes them unmotivated in learning English. Lack of learnersâ?? motivation is believed as one of the primary problems of English language teaching, many of them take it as a difficult lesson to learn. As a result, they skip class, and when they attend the class, it is not because they want to learn English but likely because they fear of failure. Moreover, lots of them may lack of attention during class, chatting with classmates, doodling in their note books or gasp in their textbooks. This present study aims at discovering the factors that influence the studentsâ?? achievement in English language learning by using linguistic and Al-Qurâ??an theory. The conclusion of the study is the factors that influence the studentsâ?? achievement in English language learning are the studentsâ?? intelligence, motivation, school facilities, policies of government and the principal, family, and environment

This paper introduces the reader to Amtsal Musharrahah in the Qurâ??an. Amtsal is the style of the Qurâ??an that is very typical in providing information and imagery. With this style, the language of the Qurâ??an has its own charm which shows that it is not a human language, but the word of God is eternal. Through thematic studies (maudhui interpretation) by searching several verses of the Qur'an containing amtsal, the authors conclude that the style of the Qurâ??an is beautiful, full of meaning and lessons. Through Musharrahah Amtsal style, Qur'an attracts people to pay attention to the messages contained in that paragraph. Not only that, through Amtsal, Qur'an describe something abstract into something that can be felt and seen directly. Finally, the style amtsal musharrahah not only touches one's mind, but more than it was touch and move unpleasant deepest, so that humans moved to accept the contents of the Qurâ??an.

Joys and sorrows are inevitable in the course of human life, when in trouble, the man has always tried to get closer to something supernatural (which they call God), this approach is usually through sacrifice in the form of offerings, crops of fruit, or livestock like cows, buffalo, camel, or goat. By granting this sacrifice they expect all the problems of life they experience can be resolved, or at least be stopped and replaced with better ones. Islam has a system set up with the perfect execution of the sacrificial services ranging from requirements, law, animals can be used as a sacrifice, execution time, and so on.

This paper will examine how the Indonesian Muslim community which consist many streams of religious and social organizations to respond the crisis that involved recently in the Gaza Strip involving Hamas Islamism group. The main issue highlighted in this paper is whether Hamas has network in Indonesia? How the influence of Hamas network in Indonesia towards the development of Islamic fundamentalist thought in Indonesia? Is the Muslim community in Indonesia has the same view in addressing the conflict in the Gaza Strip?This article will use two approaches; the theological and political approach. Theological approach is used to see similarity of the doctrine espoused byHamas with some Islamists in Indonesia. Moreover, this approach is also used to distinguish between Hamas ideological doctrine with the view of other Islamist groups grown today. While political approaches used to answer the question how the political support of the Indonesian people against the Israeli Palestinian conflict, in particular the conflict between Hamas and Israel. Based on review of the above problems, it can be found that from an ideological perspective, Hamas has a strong network in various countries, including Indonesia. Whereas the model of Indonesian Muslims support to the Gaza crisis, at least occurs in three forms: pan-Islamism, diplomatic support and humanitarian support

In the history of Islamic civilization, Islam once ruled the world with the rapid development of science and both naqli aqli discovered and developed by  Muslim scholars. The development of science reaches its zenith at the time of Abbasiyah dynasty centered in Baghdad (Iraq). The success achieved by Muslim scholars at the time it was not a coincidence, but derived from hard work and sincerity of Muslim scholars at the time. However, with the passing of time the development of science in the Muslim world was decline, compared with Europe  rapidly developing science (renaissance). Along with the decline of science in the Muslim world today makes Abdullah Saeed think hard to provide a solution to this problem, so he offered a progressive Islamic ideas with progressive methods ijtihadis, so that science in the Islamic world back to the point of its greatness

Qurâ??an as a source of Islamic teachings is actually global precepts; therefore it needs interpretation with continuously reasoning in order to comply with society, which always changes overtime. Interpretation and reasoning to the Qurâ??an are needed particularly in this modern time. This paper studies Muhammad Rashid Ridhaâ??s thoughts on a term of ahl al-kitab. This paper examines the term of ahl al-kitab in the Qurâ??an according to him, along with his arguments. With historical approach, Ridha argues that the term of ahl al-kitab refers not only to Nasrani (Christians) or Yahudi (Jews) but also it includes other religions that have a holy book supposedly carried by a prophet

Every being has individuality or self. Degree elevation on every being in nature depending on the level of development of each individuality. The criteria for determining the quality of every being is how far he can live up to himself effectively. Individuality is the distinguishing mark in the concept of Khudi or Iqbal ego. Iqbal's philosophy about Khudi ends on his thoughts about the insan kamil, the ideal man. Insan kamil is the highest level that can be achieved not by way of meditation, but with an original creative work, which is lawful overwhelmed by love or ishq, firmness self or faqr, courage and tolerance. Achieve this through three phases: obedience to God, self-control and the caliphate of God.

Both of these flow (Jabariyah and Qadarites), has a different ideology against human freedom though equally based on the proposition of the Qur'an, but there is a meeting point between the flow Jabariyah and Qadarites that humans actually have free will and therefore he will be held responsibility for the decision, though the decision is basically a fulfillment of destiny (provision) that have been determined. In other words, human free will cannot be achieved without the intervention of Allah SWT. In addition, Jabariyah teaching actually based on strong faith in Allah SWT Iradat qudrat and, coupled with the nature of His wahdaniat. For Qadarites man is the perpetrator goodness and evil, faith and kufr. This flow includes Jabariyah its reasons and arguments and opinions so that with a view to avoid the mistakes that plunged into error adherents of religion and the glory and holiness of Allah SWT

Democracy in a country, even a slightest association, is a demand for their citizens. One of the most important instruments in democracy is openness is reflected in the criticisms, suggestions, or advice. It must be realized in order to attain the goals and ideals together. To achieve this goal, the opposition to run a function that is vital and important, as checks and balances, controls government supported by a majority. Opposition is not only defined as a challenger to government policy, but as part of the democratic system to provide feedback, suggestions, and advice to the government. Democracy and meaningful opposition cannot be opposed to Islam. In the texts of the Qur'an or the Hadith of the Prophet there are many indications and guidance about it even though the text / literal in the Qur'an cannot be found lafadz democracy and the opposition, but the substance of democracy and the opposition reflected in the obligation to carry out enjoining and forbidding the evil or advised each other and advised reminded of the truth in order to achieve khair ummah

This paper describes the pattern formation of Tahsin Qur'an organized by the student Association HIQMAH as an institution that bring together people who have a talent and interest in the art of reading and writing the Qur'an. The description was -analytic descriptive study, with a focus on the activities undertaken tahsin Qur'an start from the recruitment process to the implementation of various scientific studies both of scientific seminars or meeting. It can be concluded that the Qari and Qariah of Student Association (HIQMA) Central Sulawesi carry out its activities in the form of regular coaching per week, their participation in the Musabaqah event until taklim program in accordance with programs determined in the meeting program. Qur'an recitations art that developed in the Islamic countries and Tahfidz Qur'an is very major activities that can be especially developing capabilities as well as the deepening of the sciences of the Qur'an and recitation for students.
