Abstract

The developmental task that children have to go through in toddlerhood is to control bowel movements or urination. Data obtained on the incidence of enuresis in children as much as 80% is nocturnal enuresis. This requires parents to be able to educate good behavior for children regarding urination problems, especially at night. Treatments that can be done by parents to overcome bedwetting behavior in children are: firstly giving motivation to children not to wet the bed again, secondly by giving rewards if the child succeeds in not wetting the bed, the third is by behavior therapy (behavior treatment), namely exercise control urination, the fourth woke the child to urinate while sleeping at night (alarm therapy/enuresis alarm), the fifth used medical therapy/drugs, and the sixth was hypnotherapy/hypnoparenting/acupuncture. The social and psychological impacts caused by enuresis are very disturbing the lives of a child and a mother. The adverse effects of enuresis psychologically and socially will affect the quality of life of children as adults. The purpose of this study was to determine the behavior of mothers in overcoming nocturnal enuresis in toddlers in Indramayu. This research method is a quantitative research with a descriptive approach. The population in this study were mothers who had toodler children in Pabean Udik Village, Indramayu Regency. The sampling technique used total sampling technique with respondents, namely: mothers who have children aged 1-3 years as many as 92 respondents. The instrument of this study used a questionnaire made by researchers about the description of the mother's behavior in overcoming nocturnal enuresis which had been tested for validity and reliability tests. Analysis of the data used is univariate analysis in the form of presentations. The results of the research on the behavior of mothers in the poor category in overcoming bedwetting in toddlers were 52 respondents (56.5%) and the behavior of mothers with good categories in overcoming bedwetting in toddlers was 40 respondents (43.5%). The domain of maternal behavior consists of the domains of health knowledge, attitudes towards health and health practices. The behavioral domain of health practices has not been done well by mothers. This can be seen from the behavior carried out by mothers, mothers get used to scolding children to overcome bedwetting, mothers familiarize children with using pampers to prevent bedwetting, and only some mothers give gifts when children do not wet the bed to motivate children to stop wetting. The conclusion from the study was that the mother's behavior was not good in dealing with bedwetting in children. Therefore, the follow-up needed to have cadres in the community to provide education about toilet training to mothers aged 1-3 years so that the problem of nocturnal enuresis in toodler children is resolved.

Abstract

Bullying is a problem that often occurs worldwide, especially in the school environment and will cause various impacts. The effects of bullying on children include physical impacts (bruised and full of wounds) and psychological impacts (children are reluctant to go to school, feel embarrassed, and feel pressured). Peers greatly influence the occurrence of bullying behaviour in early adolescents. In the school environment, early teens always spend time with peers. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between peer pressure and bullying behaviour in early adolescents. This research method uses a descriptive-analytic with cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was the early adolescent of the junior high school students (SMPN 2 Tarogong Kidul Garut Regency), which obtained a sample of 88 students using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. This study used the Peer Pressure Scale (PPS) and Adolescent Peer Relations Instrument (APRI) instruments. The analysis in this study uses univariate analysis to determine the frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test. The results in this study stated that there was a significant relationship between peer pressure and bullying behaviour (p-value=0.021). Therefore, nurses need to educate early teens about bullying behaviour and the importance of healthy peer relationships.

Abstract

Various efforts have been made optimally in suppressing the upsurge number of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) outbreak, but the incidence of confirmed cases continues to increase. Lack of understanding, awareness, and effective communication from the public in responding to the dangers and spread of COVID-19 requires the participation of the community to work together to create strategies to reduce the increase in confirmed cases. Research on community-based prevention of the spread of COVID-19 is still very minimal; more information is needed so that it can be the basis for determining new, more appropriate strategies. This article was written using a literature review method. The aim of this research is to find strategies to prevent the spread of COVID-19 at the community level. The entire article is a non-experimental study and is cross-sectional and observational from the Google Scholar, PubMed, and ERIC (EBSCO) database with a total of nine analysis articles originating from China, Australia, Italy, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. Keywords used to determine articles are English "(coronavirus disease OR covid-19) AND (community empowerment) AND (prevention program) AND (community health)" and Indonesian "(coronavirus disease OR covid-19) AND (pemberdayaan masyarakat) AND (upaya pencegahan) AND (kesehatan masyarakat)". The results of this review provide an overview of new strategies that can be implemented in the form of the concept of Community-Based Social Containment (CBSC) with the principle of empowerment to accelerate the handling of the spread of COVID-19 at the community level. CBSC is implemented from, by, and for the community in coordinating, planning, monitoring, facilitating, and evaluating the performance of their areas. As a basis for evidance base practice, further research needs to be carried out related to the effectiveness of the implementation of the CBSC concept as concrete evidence that can be applied directly.

This research aimed at identifying, analysing, and examining children's mental health during pandemic articles published in several reputable international journals issued in the 2019-2020 timeframe, which was led using bibliometric studies. This research hires a bibliographic study using systematic and explicit mapping methods. The research was conducted using a 4-stages systematic mapping method: (1) searching for articles using the Publish or Perish application in the Scopus database, (2) classifying the articles for the bibliometric analysis, (3) checking and completing the metadata of those articles, and (4) conducting bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer application. The bibliometric analysis produced four findings, as follows: (1) the trend of mental health children’s publications 2019-2020; (2) the ten most contributive journals has published; (3) the ten most cited articles has produced 170 citations; (4) the five highest order of author keywords most widely used in mental health children’s articles were mental health, children, human, school, and covid- 19. Children's mental health can be concluded as the term of research is currently popular among researchers.

Abstract

Asthma is a chronic reactive airway disease caused by a variety of variables, one of which is psychological. Adolescents are prone to psychological issues. Adolescents frequently face difficulties and feel frustrated as a result of the conditions they face, but most adolescents employ a variety of strategies to overcome the problems that arise. Self-efficacy can lead to good self-management. To investigate the relationship between self-efficacy and self-management in asthmatic teenagers. The search strategy is to conduct Pubmed and Google Scholar s for articles that have been published. The term "asthma" is a combination of the words "adolescents" and "self-efficacy" and "self-management" The search criteria were as follows: research on asthma patients who were teenagers, published between 31th January 2004 and July 20 2020, in English, full text, and of quantitative nature. A cross-sectional study evaluated each article for quality using a standard format from The Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Appraisal Tools (JBI). Only five articles were found that matched the search criteria. The relationship between self-efficacy and self-management were found to be associated inconsistent. Four studies reported significantly associated, while one study found no significant correlation between self-efficacy and self-management in asthmatic teenagers. Efficacy has an effect on self-management in adolescents with asthma. Adolescents with asthma must have a high level of self-efficacy to feel more confident in dealing with their situation, make positive changes, and maintain reasonable asthma control.
