Abstract

This study aims to assist Biology students in studying Plant Taxonomy. 3D visualization of aquatic plants is the result of a transformation that resembles the original image and is dynamic so that it can be viewed in detail from all sides. There are also tools used are Software Photoshop + Blender and Unity 3D, while the required materials are photos of plants that have been taken. The method developed is multimedia application development method used is IMSDD (Interactive Multimedia System Design and Development), where done System Requirement Phase, Design Consideration Phase, Implementation Stage, and Evaluation Phase. Capturing is done with clarity enough brightness, so it will be easy when designing 3D visualization. Plants taken from several Botanical Gardens Region, such as Bogor Botanical Gardens, Ciapus Botanical Garden, Purwodadi Botanical Garden, and Botanical Garden Eka Buana Bali. The picture taken is the whole, stems, flowers, fruit, and leaves both front and rear. Application development is done through the collection of objects, object segmentation, the creation of object textures and the creation of 3D objects. 3D water plants visualization applications can be enlarged and reduced, and rotated well to the right, left, up, and down. Water plants that appear in the application are present in the Indonesian and Latin names, taxon and description. Once the application is complete, it will be transformed to an Android-based platform.Keywords : 3D visualization, android, water plants

Abstract

Handling of bulk cooking oil is not good, cause a decrease in the quality of cooking oil when in storage in the selling process. Wrapping packaging of bulk cooking oil that is not appropriate and direct interaction with the sun and microbes can change the quality of cooking oil. Besides the fabrication of bulk cooking oil, to make people uneasy. For it is necessary for the analysis of bulk cooking oil quality on a variety of storage (closed and open) in the traditional markets in in Jabotabek Area through the physical trials and chemical tests. Analysis physics for odor and color is done organoleptic. Chemical analysis of water content using gravimetric method. Determined acid number by titration of alkalimetri with NaOH. Peroxide number determined with Tio 0.02 N. For example pelicans oil test alcohol 5N KOH.Based on this research, to test the physics of odor obtained normal results for sealed storage and smelling a bit stale at week 4 and to 5 in the open storage, while the average for the color of pale yellow oil, yellow, until golden brown. To test the chemical in terms of water content and acid number in the average closed storage meets the requirements of ISO - 3741 - 2002, while the open storage of the average moisture content does not meet the requirements for the number of acid still meet the quality standards II. The results of the analysis of peroxide numbers in a closed storage on average to meet the requirements of ISO - 3741 - 1995, while the open storage do not meet the standards. Abstract

Terestrial orchid research has been conducted in the area of Sicike-cike Nature Park, North Sumatra. The research was conducted in with exploration method. No less than 12 types of terestrial orchids are found in this region, namely Spathoglottis plicata Blume, Spathoglottis aurea Lindl., Phaius callosus (Blume) Lindl., Calanthe triplicata Ames, Calanthe pulchra (Blume) Lindl., Calanthe chrysoglossoides J.J. Sm., Calanthe aurantiaca Ridl., Cymbidium ensifolium (L.) Sw., Arundina graminifolia (D.Don) Hochr., Neuwiedia zollingeri Rchb.f. var. zollingeri Rchb.f., Paphiopedilum tonsum (Rchb.f.) Stein, and Liparis sp. All types of orchids are then grown in the nursery of Samosir Botanical Gardens for ex-situnya conservation efforts. Two months after planting almost all species grow well, even some of them have produced flowers. Orchids A. graminifolia, S. aurea and S. plicata are the best-growing species.Key words : Terestrial orchid, Sicike-cike Nature Park, conservation, Samosir Botanical Garden

Abstract

This study aims to map the level of animal food security in Indonesia using multidimensional scaling method. The data used are secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics, namely the average data of consumption of animal protein (gram / capita / days) and the average data of consumption of animal protein (rupiah / capita / month) in 2015 from all provinces in Indonesia. The result of the research shows that group I is food resistant in all animal food commodities, namely West Sumatra, Riau, South Sumatera, Bangka Belitung Islands, Riau Islands, Banten, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan. Group II is food resistant in fish, eggs and milk, less food in the meat of North Sumatra, Bengkulu, West Nusa Tenggara, North Sulawesi, West Papua and Papua. Group III is food-resistant in meat, eggs and milk, lack of food in fish such as DKI Jakarta, West Java, DI Yogyakarta, and Bali. Group IV is food-resistant in eggs and milk, less food in fish and meat such as Lampung, Central Java, and East Java. Group V is food-resistant in eggs and milk, food-susceptible to fish, and less food for less meat, namely Aceh, Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, Gorontalo and Maluku. Group VI status is susceptible to food in fish, less food in meat, eggs and milk of West Sulawesi and North Maluku. Group VII is under-food in all animal food commodities, namely East Nusa Tenggara. Stress value of 11.15% and R2 value of 95.01% indicate that multidimensional scaling method is suitable for use in this research.Keywords: animal protein, food security, multidimensional scaling method,

Abstract

The aim of this study is to compare the potential of ethanolic and water extracted of teki grasstuber on white male rat strain Sprague Dawley at two months of age and 200 g of body weight. The rats were divided among four groups. Each group consists of six rats. The groupswere ethanolic and water extracted of teki grass tuber, positive control group (Paracetamol) and a negative control group (distilled water). Analgesic potency was tested by inducing pain stimuli previously to the animals, in the form of heat stimuli by putting it ona hot plate with the temperature of 55C. The responses of rats observed were licking and moving or lifting of their legs. Observations were made for 1 minute, before and after administration of pain stimulus at 15, 30, 45 and 60 minute. The results showed that ethanol and water extract at an effective dose of 49 mg / 200 g of BW, gave relatively the same effect as an analgesic or positive control group.Keywords : analgesic, ethanol and water extract of teki grass tuber, pain

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the quality of diluent which is stored at room temperature and temperature of preservation to survival of spermatozoa, to know the temperature of cement storage to survival of spermatozoa and to know the type of cement diluent material to survival of spermatozoa. The study used local sheep cement. The design used was Randomized Block Design (RAK) Factorial pattern with 2 treatment of storage temperature ie S1 = room temperature; S2 = preservation temperature; and with 4 diluent treatment: P1 = yolk citrate; P2 = skim milk; P3 = liquid milk; P4 = tris of soybeans. The observed variables were the macroscopic and microscopic cement quality prior to dilution, the progressive movement of sperm from each diluent and the progressive movement of sperm at each storage temperature. The administration of yolk citrate diluents affects the survival of spermatozoa compared with other diluents (P 0.05). The preservation temperature gives optimum results in suppressing the rate of decline in survival of spermatozoa (P 0.05). Giving yolk citrate stored at a preservation temperature is apparent in maintaining the survival of spermatozoa with 55% motility for three days.Keywords: survival, spermatozoa, cement diluents, storage temperature
