Abstract

This research attempts to analyze the effect of religiosity and culture on purchasing decisions in buying cafe food in Bukittinggi partially or simultaneously. The design of this study is quantitative correlational. The population is Muslim teenagers in the city of Bukittinggi. The sample of this study was Muslim teenagers in the Bukit Tinggi town who bought cafe food. Furthermore, the determination of the sample to be used as the respondent was done by purposive sampling, by taking and selecting Muslim adolescents in Bukittinggi as respondents.Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that: partially Religiosity and Culture have a positive effect on purchasing decisions in buying cafe food, while Religiosity and Culture simultaneously influence purchasing decisions in buying cafe food where the contribution of the determination coefficient (R Square) is 38.8% and the remaining 61.2% is influenced by other variables which are not included in this similarity regression or variables not examined.

Abstract

Souvenirs shop plays important part in selling and introducing the SME’s product. This research purpose are to understand and to identify of how the souvenirs shop in Padang deal in the application of integrated promotional mix. This study uses qualitative descriptive method to 10 souvenirs shop in Padang, Padang Culture and Tourism Office, Padang Cooperatives and SME’s Office, and ASITA West Sumatra. Data collection method used were in-depth interview and focus group discussion. Their understanding in integrated promotional mix are identically expensive and have no direct impact in trading which this research try to change that mislead understanding. In general, the promotion mix that they do is using visual media in the form of bilboard for advertsing, for sales promotion by providing product samples, giving discounts dan brochures. The ability of the resources owned which is still limited and still depends on the programs from related offices for the promotion of teir products.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze whether the accountability and independency principles affect the preferences of muzakki to pay zakat to zakat management institutions. This study uses saturated samples by involving all members of the population as many as 30 permanent muzakki people who routinely pay their zakat to the PKPU Bukittinggi IZI Amil Zakat Institution. This study reveals that the accountability and independency principle has a positive and significant effect on muzakki's preference to pay zakat to zakat management institutions. These findings offer empirical evidence that it is important to implement accountability and independency principles in a zakat management organization to create muzakki preferences. With the existence of a clear system of accountability and reporting and the application of sound organizational principles, muzakki still chooses to distribute their zakat to the zakat management institution itself. Furthermore, this research recommends the strategy to increase muzakki trust in amil zakat institutions.

Abstract

Food is an important and strategic commodity, because it is an essential human need that must be fulfilled at all times. Food needs need to be made available in sufficient quantities, adequate quality, safe for consumption and easily obtainable at prices affordable by all levels of society. The study was conducted on organik rice distributors located in Padangpanjang, West Sumatra. Based on the variables tested in this study and including dummy, the most dominant factor of consumption of organik rice is the variable that has a loading value above 0.5, this factor is the income factor ( income and expenditure), personal factors (level of education and delivery), and external factors (availability, vehicle ownership and external motivation). From the analysis and observations made, it can be concluded that consumers in consuming organik rice are still few and not from their own desires. Consumers in consuming organik rice only follow along with other consumers or call on consumers who have consumed organik rice so that continuous public awareness must be given to the benefits of organik rice.

Abstract

The purpose of this study investigates whether financial literacy affects the  preferences of choosing  the funding product at Islamic Banks. The research method used is a quantutative method that uses a sample of  385 customers of Islamic banks in Tanah Datar district, under condition 2018, this study reveals that financial literacy is positively associated with  the  preferences of choosing funding products.  This finding offer the empirical evidence of the importance on the relationship of financial literacy to the  preferences of choosing  the funding product. It indicates that the financial literacy  is a important point in Islamic banks thay will make peoples turn to Islamic banks . Furthermore, this research recommends strategy of increasing market share of Islamic Bank by increasing public’s finance literacy.

Abstract

The research was raised from the issue of speculation on gold pawning products, where gold pawning products were not used as they should. Based on the research objectives mentioned above, the design of the research is a field research using a qualitative method that uses a sample of 400 gold pawning product customers, as well as the Kaltim Syari'ah Bank Syariah Business Unit as a gold pawning product service provider, The research reveals that the practice of gold pawning can pose risks for both customers and banks, because basically Islam has banned this speculation practice so that unwanted risks occur in running a business. The research shows that the gold pawning product has been carried out according to Bank Indonesia regulations and avoided speculation, as well as the motives carried out by customers in conducting gold pawning transactions are in accordance with the main purpose of the gold pawning product, to meet urgent needs, such as education costs, fees health, housing construction, and venture capital. Penelitian ini diangkat dari masalah spekulasi pada produk gadai emas, di mana produk gadai emas tidak digunakan sebagaimana mestinya. Berdasarkan tujuan penelitian yang disebutkan di atas, desain penelitian adalah penelitian lapangan menggunakan metode kualitatif yang menggunakan sampel 400 pelanggan produk gadai emas, serta Unit Usaha Syariah Bank Syariah Kaltim Syari'ah sebagai layanan produk gadai emas Penyedia, Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa praktik gadai emas dapat menimbulkan risiko bagi pelanggan dan bank, karena pada dasarnya Islam telah melarang praktik spekulasi ini sehingga risiko yang tidak diinginkan terjadi dalam menjalankan bisnis. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk gadai emas telah dilakukan sesuai dengan peraturan Bank Indonesia dan menghindari spekulasi, serta motif yang dilakukan oleh pelanggan dalam melakukan transaksi gadai emas sesuai dengan tujuan utama produk gadai emas, untuk memenuhi kebutuhan mendesak, seperti biaya pendidikan, biaya kesehatan, pembangunan perumahan, dan modal ventura.

Abstract

ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) has been popular since 2016. Therefore, many preparations have already been done by all sectors to makeup this free market. Europe Economic Community has preceeded the famous of AEC. Thus, related to readiness, this article aimed at finding out the alertness that the third semester of Syariah Banking students of IAIN Bukittinggi have already prepared, especially their English ability to struggle with other country in ASEAN. The data of this research was gotten and analyzed quantitatively, by distributing questionnaire to the third semester of Syariah Banking students of IAIN Bukittinggi. The finding showed that the students had not been able to compete with other nations in ASEAN country since English did not become the important lesson for them and it was strengthen the curriculum of syariah banking does support students’ opportunity to learn English more. Masyarakat Ekonomi Asean (MEA) sudah booming dari awal tahun 2016 yang lalu. Sehingga sudah banyak persiapan yang dilakukan oleh semua sektor untuk menghadapi pasar bebas ini.  Ketenaran istilah ini sebelumnya telah didahului oleh pasar bebas di Eropa atau lebih dikenal  Masyarakat Ekonomi Eropa (MEE). Terkait dengan persiapan, maka tulisan bertujuan untuk melihat persiapan yang telah dilakukan oleh mahasiswa semester III Perbankan Syariah IAIN Bukittinggi, khususnya tentang kemampuan bahasa Inggris mereka dalam rangka kesiapan mahasiswa dalam bersaing dengan bangsa yang ada di ASEAN. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dan diolah secara kuantitatif, yaitu dengan menyebarkan angket kepada mahasiswa semester III Perbankan Syariah IAIN Bukittinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan bahasa Inggris mahasiswa Perbankan Syariah belum mampu bersaing dengan bangsa lain yang tercakup dalam negara ASEAN.

Abstract

Islamic banking in Indonesia runs its activities using the concept of sharia based on the Qur'an and Al-Hadis. The sacred foundation should have an impact on the quality of financial statements that are higher than conventional banking. However, the facts that occur indicate a contradiction in the findings of researchers related to earnings management practices that occur in Islamic banking. This study describes these contradictions for answering the phenomenon of earnings management in Islamic banking. This research uses literature study to discuss the formulation of the problem. The results of the discussion found the existence of earnings management practices in Islamic banking . The mitigation that can be done by Islamic banking is the maximum application of corporate governance  and using the services of qualified and reputable auditors to examine the bank's financial statements. Perbankan syariah di Indonesia menjalankan kegiatannya menggunakan konsep syariah yang berlandaskan kepada Al- quran dan Al-hadist. Landasan yang suci tersebut seharusnya berdampak kepada kualitas laporan keuangan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan perbankan konvensional. Namun, fakta yang terjadi menunjukkan adanya kontradiksi temuan peneliti terkait dengan praktik manajemen laba yang terjadi pada perbankan syariah. Penelitian ini menguraikan kontradiksi tersebut sekaligus menjawab mengenai fenomena manajemen laba pada perbankan syariah. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi literature untuk membahas rumusan masalah. Hasil dari pembahasan ditemukan adanya praktik manajemen laba pada perbankan syariah.  Adapun mitigasi yang bisa dilakukan oleh perbankan syariah ialah penerapan corporate governance secara maksimal serta menggunakan jasa auditor yang berkualitas dan bereputasi untuk memeriksa laporan keuangan bank.

Abstract

 This study aims to analyze the determinants of the sustainability of Islamic microfinance institutions and efforts to reduce poverty in Agam district. Islamic microfinance institutions in this study are limited to Baitul Maal wa Tamwil in Agam Regency with a sample of 31 BMTs that existed until 2019. The method used is the mix method. Quantitative analysis uses Smart PLS 3.0 software as a data processing tool. Qualitative analysis uses interviews as a data collection tool. The results showed that management, human resources and culture were determinants of BMT sustainability in Agam District. This study also provides an analysis that BMT is an instrument that can be used in poverty alleviation in Agam District. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor penentu sustainabilitas (keberlanjutan) lembaga keuangan mikro syariah dan upaya dalam penanggulangan kemiskinan di Kabupaten Agam. Lembaga Keuangan Mikro Syariah dalam penelitian ini dibatasi pada Baitul Maal wa Tamwil (BMT) yang ada di Kabupaten Agam dengan sampel sebayak 31 BMT yang ada sampai tahun 2019. Metode yang digunakan adalah mix method. Analisis kuantitatif mengunakan software Smart PLS 3.0 sebagai alat pengolahan data. Analisis kualitatif menggunakan wawancara sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Manajemen, SDM dan Budaya merupakan faktor penentu sustainabilitas BMT di Kabupaten Agam. Penelitian ini juga menyatakan bahwa BMT merupakan salah instrumen yang dapat digunakan dalam hal penanggulangan kemiskinan di Kabupaten Agam.

Abstract

 This study aims to determine the process of determining and pricing mechanisms in the thought of the figure of Ibn Khaldun. This research uses the Library Research method which is one type of qualitative research using the socio historical and historical factual approaches. The data source of this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. While the data analysis used in this study is descriptive analytic. The results showed that sociologically Ibn Khaldun had revealed the process of price formation clearly. According to him, naturally the formation of prices is determined by the role of market mechanisms through a balance between demand and supply in the market. The meeting between the demand and supply factors in the market will form the balance of natural market prices. The existence of government intervention on the market shows that there is a contraction between social economic conditions in determining prices. Besides hisbah is also authorized to maintain the moral and social life of the social community. With hisbah, it is expected that the market mechanism can run normally and the prices formed reflect aspects of justice for market participants. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses penentuan dan mekanisme harga dalam pamikiran tokoh Ibn Khaldun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Library Research yang merupakan salah satu jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosio historis dan factual historis. Sumber data penelitian ini terdiri dari data primer dan data sekunder. Sedangkan analisis data yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara sosiologis Ibn Khaldun telah mengungkapkan proses terbentuknya harga dengan jelas. Menurtnya, secara alamiah terbentuknya harga ditentukan oleh peran mekanisme pasar melalui keseimbangan antara permintaan dan penawaran di pasar. Pertemuan antara faktor permintaan dan faktor penawaran di pasar akan membentuk keseimbangan harga alamiah pasar. Adanya intervensi pemerintah terhadap pasar menunjukkan adanya intraksi antara kondisi sisial ekonomi dalam menentukan harga. Disamping itu hisbah juga berwenang menjaga moral spiritual kehidupan sosial kemasyarakatan. Dengan adanya hisbah diharapkan mekanisme pasar dapat berjalan normal dan harga yang terbentuk mencerminkan aspek keadilan bagi pelaku pasar.
