The variables observed included weight changes and changes in knowledge of data. Data analysis was done by independent t-test and pair t-test. There was the influence of nutrition media intervention (comic) to the score of knowledge was shown with p-value=0,001. Where the increase of knowledge score only in the treatment group that was from 10,96+1,99 to 13,38+1,68. While nutrition media intervention (comic) did not give effect to changes in obese child weight shown with a p-value that is 0,491 for treatment group and 0,725 for the control group. The nutritional media (comic) interventions can improve the knowledge score of obese primary school children but have no effect on changes in child weight. The intervention should be done more than 2 weeks to see directly effect of nutritional media (comic) intervention on weight change, we should involve the professional in making comics and experiment on the use of comics as a material of intervention to the same population.

Coffee fruit flesh is a waste that coffee farmers use as animal feed only, even though has a composition such as carbohydrates, proteins, fiber, minerals, water, protein, caffeine, and polyphenols. These compositions are very useful for cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. This study was a research on the use of waste of Aceh’s Robusta fruit flesh (Coffea robusta) on the ability to inhibit the bacteria S-aureus and E.coli as the basic ingredients of the cosmetic face mask of halal products. The samples used were from Takengon city. The skin of the coffee beans was peeled, cleaned and extracted with methanol for about 3 x 24 hours. Further concentrated until obtained extract concentrated. The resulting extracts were tested phytochemically. Variations of extracts concentration on water solvents were 1%, 2%, and 3%. The antibacterial activity was tested by the diffusion method which used the disc. The result showed inhibitory zone to E.coli bacteria at 1%, 2%, 3% concentration were 6,5 mm, 7.2 mm and 7.8 mm respectively. While in S.aureus at a concentration of 1%, 2%, 3% were 15.1 mm, 15.3 mm and 15.5 mm respectively. The best variation of the concentration of Robusta coffee fruit flesh extract (Coffea robusta) in this study on the growth of S-aureus and E.coli bacteria was 3%.

The sample size was determined using different hypothesis test formula. The results showed there were differences in weight and body temperature increase on days II, III and IV in the intervention group. This study recommends the use of morottal therapy in the treatment of LBW with KMC.  Because therapy morottal system works similar to therapy music that causes a sense of comfort and improves sleep patterns baby.

Abstract

Intravenous fluid therapy in a child in the emergency room may lead to prolonged trauma and is a procedure that can cause anxiety, fear and uncomfortable pain. Handling of pain in children can be done with non-pharmacological techniques that are by giving a sweet taste of honey, wherein honey contains flavonoid content that can inhibit the pain. The purpose of this study was to know differences in pain scores after the installation of infusion between groups of children given honey and not given honey. The research design used in the form of quasi-experiment with nonequivalent control group type, post-only design, with the number of samples were 34 people who met the inclusion criteria. The sample was divided into two groups: the intervention group who received honey peroral (17 respondents) and the control group who did not get honey peroral (17 respondents), with age of respondent 1-6 years. Pain scores were evaluated with Children's Hospital of the Eastern Ontario Pain Scale (CHEOPS). A statistical test was using Mann-Whitney test with 95% (α=0,05 ) incidence rate. The result showed that there was a difference in child pain score in intervention group and control group with p-value=0.000. It can be concluded that there was an effect of giving honey to pain score, wherein the intervention group the pain score was lower than the control group, meaning that honey can reduce the pain response in children.
