Abstract

This study was conducted in the greenhouse of Chemical and Soil Fertilty Lab. UGM, with the aims to find good combination of kind of biochar and NPK fertilizer and time of incubation on availability NPK in Ultisol. Randomized Complete Design was used with two factors. First factors consists of combination of biochar and NPK (control, biochar 200, 400, 600) and biochar 200+NPK, biochar 400+NPK , biochar 600+NPK.). Second factors: incubation 2 week, 4 week and 6 week. Replication was three times. The results showed that treatment of biochar 400 increased holding capasity of NPK , pH, Al-dd, CEC, Carbon, N, P and K. The best length of incubation is 4 week

Abstract

White temu is one of plants which is included in pharmaceutical commodities and has potentially prospect to be developed in Leragere. So far, white temu has not been managed intensively because there is lack of knowledge about the importance of white temu to explore to be pharmaceutical product. In fact, white temu will give an opportunity to increase people income, especially if white temu is formed as instant drink white temu. This research is aimed to study cost, revenue, profit and efficiency of white temu producing in Leragere area. Location is purposively determined as Leragere is considered as white temu area development. The samples are decided as many as 25 people, in line with quota systematic sampling with reason of population homogeneously characteristic. Collected data is included primary and secondary data, which is managed by using farming analysis tool in line with research goal and it is interpreted as equal as analysis result

Abstract

The aim of this study are : (1) to identify production profile of broiler’s partnership at Gerbangkertosusila region; (2) to identify farmer’s profile of broiler’s partnership at Gerbangkertosusila region; (3) to identify human resources development factors of broiler’s partnership. This research done at Gerbangkertosusila region (Gresik, Bangkalan, Mojokerto, Surabaya, Sidoarjo dan Lamongan) East Java Province for 2 (two) months. This research is quantitative research with Cross Sectional Survey which mean questionnaire method by question list used in order to data collected as primary and secondary data. Primary data collected by survey, observation and depth interviewed with questionnaire used in order to got valid data, such as farmer profile and production profile information. Secondary data collected by data study and documentation from government documents and broiler’s partnership corporation related documents. Data analysist was descriptive analysist. The conclusion of this study are : (1) Broiler’s farmer profile are mostly (90%) at productive ages with Senior High School graduated as the most common (75%) and an enterpreneur as main profession (45%) which more than 3 years of production periods (80%) and had experiences at 2 kind of broiler’s partnership models (60%); (2) Management contract as the most choosen broiler’s partnership models by respondents

Abstract

In Indonesia, orchid is one of advanted crop. Crop multiplication of orchids usually produce with seed culture. Each embryo from seed culture can be multiplied by mericlone. The objective of this research is determine the type of media benzyl adenine concentration for growing and embryo’s proliferation of Phaleaenopsis amabilis. The research used complete randomized design factorial consist of 2 factors with 3 replications. First factor is type of media consist of 3 levels which are ½ Murashige and Skoog (½ MS), Vacin and Went (VW), New Phalaenopsis (NP). Second factor is Benzyl adenine concentration consist of 4 levels which are 0 ppm, 0.5 ppm, 1 ppm and 1.5 ppm. Each bottle are inoculated by 5 embryos/PLB of white Phalaenopsis amabilis. Data had been analyzed with F test in 5% level. The highest number of embryos per explants are shown from combination between ½ MS media with 0.5ppm BA. The results showed that highest number of leaves and roots per explants are from NP media. Media without benzyl adenine produced the highest number of leaves and roots. The highest number of diameter is produced by VW media which combine with 1.5 ppm benzyl adenine

Abstract

The study aimed to determine fowering and production performance of milk stage corn planted in critical sandy land with bio mulch. Plastic mulch and bio mulch (feedstuff used), were used on 3 (three) beds planted with Pioneer® seed corn. Seeds were planted with 25 x 50 cm in sandy land Jangkaran Village, Temon, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. Litter manure waste was used as basal fertilizer by spreaded over the beds at the level 7.5 t/ha. Corn seed planted on the bed without basal fertilizer and mulch as a control. Chemical fertilizers, urea and SP-36 are given in equal amounts and the corresponding frequency written on the label. Water was given to corn plant every other day. Quantity of flower was observed since the first time produce flower up to harvested at 10 weeks, while production was determined from total weight of whole plant harvested. The study is based on completely randomized design (CRD) and the data were analyzed by ANOVA with SPSS advanced analysis of LSD. Corn plant with bio mulch produced significantly higher of flower and whole plant compare with control but not significantly higher compare with plastic mulch. However, bio mulch always has highest level of flower 34.4% compare with plastic mulch 17.7% and control 9.2; highest production level of fresh whole plant13.3, plastic mulch 12.93 and 3.91 t/ha. Utilization of mulch has significant effect on the quantity of flower and production level

Abstract

The use of pesticides is widely used in the production of citrus fruits for protection before and after harvest. The use of pesticides on a broad scale can pollute the environment and leave residues in plants and in plants such as fruit leaves and tubers. A survey was conducted to evaluate the level of pesticide residues in citrus fruits. The survey method is carried out by recording pesticide use by farmers and traders. The survey will be conducted in Dau, Batu and Poncokusumo Districts, Malang Regency by interviewing 10 farmers and 10 orange traders in each District. The Gas Cromatography method was carried out to measure the levels of pesticide residues tested at the Angler Biochemlab Laboratory, Surabaya. Descriptive analysis was used to analyze the levels of pesticide residues in citrus fruits then compared to the Maximum Residue Limit (BMR) through SNI 7313: 2008 quality standards on agricultural products. The residue levels of profenofos in farmer samples were found to be higher at 0.108 ppm compared to the sample from traders, namely 0.050 ppm at the Tegalweru village research site. In addition, traders in the village of Poncokusumo knew the imidaclroripid content was close to the maximum threshold of 0.040 ppm in farmer samples and 0.010 ppm in the merchant sample. Decreased levels of pesticide residues on food can be done with several approaches, namely physically and chemically. Reduction of pesticide residues in agricultural products can be done in several ways including by washing products with running water for several times or can also be done by soaking in water for one hour

Abstract

Gladiol is one of importance cut flower with high economic value due to beautiful kinds and colors. The aims of this research is to improved growth and flower quality of gladiola. Polibag experiment was conducted during December 2007 to February 2008 at Green house Faculty of Agriculture University of Brawijaya. Randomized Factorial Block Design and three (3) replication was applied with two factors. First factors consists of four planting media (hust cole, cocopeat, cocopeat + hust cole (4 : 1), cocopeat + hust cole (1 : 4) and second factor was three levels of SP36 ( 4, 8 and 12 g/polibag). The result showed that there is an interaction between media and fosfat fertilizer only on number of leaves, but did not on other parameters observed

Abstract

The objective of this experiment was to isolate Rhizobium bacteria from soybean and to study the effect of inoculation of the isolated indigenous bacteria on soybean growth. Six treatments comprising TA (Entisol control), TaI1 (Entisol+Rhizoplus), TaI2 (Entisol +Rhizobium indigenous), KB (Inceptisol control), TbI1 (Inceptisol+Rhizoplus), TbI2 (Inceptisol+ indigenous Rhizobium) were arranged in a completely randomized design with three replicates. Results of this study indicated that; (1) morphology of Rhizobium was shape of colony, around white, and phlegm, total colony of Rhizobium indigenous are 130 x 107 cuff/ml (2) indigenous Rhizobium had higher influence than Rhizoplus to the total of the root-nodule, the weight of dry nodule, the high of the plant, and pH, the N-total of soil, and the N-total of plant are good at an Entisol and an Inceptisol

Abstract

This Research aim to look for best soy variety for the making of tofu. This research is executed in Laboratory Engineering Process and System Produce University of Tribhuwana Tunggadewi Malang. Device attempt which is used in this research is Random Device Complete with one factor, as its factor soy variety which consist of three level that is Wilis variety, Kaba variety and Import variety, each level repeated the five of times. All soy variety wear in this research is obtained from BALITKABI Malang. Result of research indicate that tofu having best quality is made of tofu is soy of variety Kaba with protein content 14,63%, water content 77,22% and also result of from test of organoleptik by using 20 panelist people tell to be taken a fancy to or can be accepted

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan pupuk organik berbahan urine sapi terhadap kualitas kimia tanah di lereng Merapi, Desa Jrakah Kecamatan Selo Kabupaten Boyolali. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah faktorial seri 2x4 pola searah, dengan ulangan sebanyak tiga kali. Faktor pertama adalah 2 jenis tanah dengan tanaman berbeda (R1 = rumput Raja dan R2 = rumput Gajah). Faktor kedua adalah 4 level dosis penggunaan pupuk organik (D0 = tanpa pemberian pupuk organik; D1 = pemberian pupuk organik sebesar 5 ton/ha; D2 = pemberian pupuk organik sebesar 10 ton/ha dan D3 = pemberian pupuk organik sebesar 15 ton/ha). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pupuk organik berbahan urine sapi menunjukkan pengaruh yang tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap pH, C-organik dan kandungan Nitrogen (N) total dalam tanah.
