Abstract

The problem that SDN Bacem 01 Blora facing is the lack of local wisdom-based learning media and students’ poor writing skill. This research aimed to develop 2D animation video based on Blora’s Local Knowledege as a learning media to improve 5th grade students’ ability in writing imaginative text. This research was using Research and Development Method (R&D) with ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develoment, Implementation, and Evaluation) as the development procedures. The sample of this research was 5th grade students’ of SDN Bacem 01 Blora and SDN Bacem 02 Blora. Questionnaires consisted of media expert, materials expert, teachers’ response, observers’ response, and students’ response were the tools to obtain the data needed. The results of this research gained 93% of media expert, 96% of materials expert, 87% of teachers’ response, 89% of observers’ response, and 82% of students’ response. In conclusion, 2D animation video-based media development was feasible to be utilized to improve students’ ability in writing imaginative text based on Blora’s local wisdom.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of implementing the results of digital comic development in improving the information technology literacy skill of fourth grade elementary school students. This study used RnD method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). The research subject was fourth grade students at Kuranji State Elementary School, Cirebon City. Furthermore, the data collection technique was the media expert, linguist, material expert validation questionnaire, test techniques and student responses. Aiken's validity results show the lowest index results from media experts, language experts and material experts of 0.67 and the highest index is 1. Furthermore, the results show that the student test instrument variables are declared reliable based on Cronbach's Alpha reliability calculations that is 0.937 with very high criteria. The Pearson Product Moment correlation coefficient value between the implementation of digital comic development results and students' information technology literacy skills is 0.693. Digital comics affect students' technological literacy skills 48.0%. Moreover, the average percentage of student responses to the implementation of digital comic development in energy sources science learning materials for class IV elementary schools is 94.4% with very high criteria. Digital comic media is feasible, and it has a significant effect on increasing the information technology literacy skills of fourth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

The Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) is focusing on measuring students’ thinking and reasoning ability, one of which is reading literacy competence. The aims of this research are: 1) Developing character-based picture storybooks in Bahasa Indonesia subject in preparing for AKM; 2) Describing the characteristics of character-based picture storybooks media in preparing for AKM; 3) Examining the feasibility of character-based picture storybooks media in preparing for AKM; 4) Examining the effectiveness of character-based picture storybooks media of Bahasa Indonesia subject in improving elementary school 1st grade students’ reading literacy. The type of this research is Research and Development (R&D) with ADDIE model modified by Branch as the development model. The sample of this research are elementary school 1st grade students, with 30 students as the experimental group and 28 students as the control group. The finding of this research shows that character-based picture storybooks are very feasible to be used with a percentage of 93.3% of media feasibility criteria and 85% of material and language feasibility criteria. Based on the results, t-test value is 0.006 < 0.05 meaning that character-based picture storybooks are effective. The mean improvement using the n-gain test shows that the experimental group has the higher increase, obtaining an n-gain of 0.686 with medium category while the lower increase is found in control group with 0.449 in medium category. Thus, it can be concluded that character-based picture storybooks are effective to be used in Bahasa Indonesia subject to improve elementary school 1st grade students’ reading literacy capability.

Abstract

Science learning that takes place in elementary schools is still teacher-centered,it can be seen that the teacher's ability to design learning and the use of learning media is still less interactive and less practical so that learning is monotonous, has not used models or media in science learning. The purpose of the study analyzes the validity, the effectiveness of collaboration of interactive learning media and interactive student woorksheets with problem-based learning models on mastery of concepts and student creativity. This research is development research (Four-D Models) with stages of defining, design, develop and disseminate. Data collection methods are questionnaires, tests and interviews. This research was conducted in grade V SD Negeri 2 Plantaran SouthKaliwungu District, Kendal Regency. The results showed that the development of learning media to foster student creativity was very valid with a percentage of interactive learning media validation score of 98.33%; Analysis of student responses 65.21%. The effectiveness of the product shows that there is an increase in learning outcomes and student creativity increases with good criteria. The benefits of research results make it easier for students to understand the material provided by the teacher so that student learning outcomes increase. The conclusion of this research is that collaboration in the development of interactive learning media and interactive student worksheets with a problem-based learning model can improve learning outcomes and foster the creativity ofelementary school students.
