Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a concept of pattern lowland vegetable based trading system structure, conduct, performance (SCP) to function optimally, increasing the income of farmers and sustainable. While the specific targets to be achieved in this study are: 1). to descript pattern trading system lowland vegetables at the study site; 2). to concept of trading system pattern lowland vegetable based structure, conduct, performance (SCP). This research is descriptive-quantitative research. The location chosen purposively research in lowland vegetable production center subdistrict and market. Data were collected through surveys and observation. The unit of analysis is the farmers, traders and trading system actors lowland vegetables. Data analysis was performed by descriptive-quantitative, while the market at the lowland vegetable trading system is analyzed with the approach of structure conduct performance (SCP). The results showed there are four channel pattern trading system lowland vegetables. Lowland vegetable market structure is strongly oligopsonist market structure. Market behavior that occurs as the farm level producers, middlemen, traders, wholesalers and retailers largely indicate a bond provision and capital gains purposes. Farmers obtain the lowest and the highest profit margins are retailers. Value R/C of 1.25 and farmer B/C ratio of 0.25, while the value of R/C ratio of 1.51 the highest on middlemen and B/C wholesaler with the highest value 3.61. Farmer's share of 18.52 %. Elasticity of the price transmission lowland vegetables efficiently due to changes in the consumer price level perfectly transmitted to farmers as producers. Keywords : trading system pattern, lowland vegetables, structure conduct performance (SCP)

Abstract

On-farm experimental were conducted in dry land of Banyusri villages, Wonosegoro sub district, Boyolali district in 2013/2014 WS. Randomizied block designed was used with four replications. Eight treatments consisted of fertilizers based on Dry soil test kit as control (P1), 50% NPK fertilizers recommended + Probio (P2), 50% NPK fertilizers recommended + Remicer (P3), 50% NPK fertilizers recommended + Starmik + 2 t FYM/ha (P4), 50% NPK fertilizers recommended + Agrimeth (P5), 50% NPK fertilizers recommended + Biovam plus (P6), 50% NPK fertilizers recommended + Glyocompoct (P7), 50% NPK fertilizers recommended (P8), 50% NPK fertilizers recommended + 2 t FYM/ha (P9). Parameters were observed i.e. plant growth (plant height and tiller numbers per hills), rice yield (converse plot sized 2.5 m x 2.5 m in hectares at 14 % water contents) and farmer respons on biofertilizers used were evaluated. Research resulted showed thats (a) the applicaton of biofertilizers such as Probio, Glyocompost and Starmix were combined to 50% NPK fertilizers recommended gave the rice yield same with combined to NPK fertilizers recommended, its means that usage recommendation of 50% NPK fertilizers combined to third biofertizers able to 50% NPK fertilizers efficient. (b). The farmer respons to usage of biofertilizers applied showed that (b1) 83.3% cooperator farmers positive respons in application of biofertilizer. (b2) 61.20 % farmers most easierly on biofertilizers applied. (b3) 94,4% farmers has benefit from biofertilizers applied. (b4) 83,3 % cooperators farmer able to buy biofertilizers in the markets. (b4) Cooperator farmers to select in liquid forms of biofertiliers with Rp 10.000 per sacheet prices. But if solid type of biofertilizers with prices Rp 1.000,- per kg. Keywords : efectivness, biofertilizer, gogo rice

Trough this research, researchers would showed the competitveness of preserved tuna’s trading in the world either Indonesia’s export destination. This research used time series data from 1989 until 2012. The analysis methods were Herfindahl Index (HI) and Concentration Ratio (CR4). The result of this research showed that : (1) Indonesia is an exporter remain either main exporter on preserved tuna’s trading in Japan and USA as world market, (2) preserved tuna’s market structure in Japan and USA as world market leaded to monopoly. Keywords : preserved tuna’s, structure of the market

Abstract

Yield Adaptability for Some Superior Rice Varieties in the Three Difference Zones at Gunungkidul, namely North, Midle, and South Zones was studied during the wet-season (WS) of 2012/2013. The locations in each three zones were : a) Ngawen 300 m asl, and b) Patuk 250 m asl (North), c) Playen 175 m asl, and d) Karangmojo 150 m asl (Midle), e) Ponjong 200 asl and Tepus 250 m asl (South). Six new superior rice varieties, namely Inpago 5, Inpari 7, Inpago 8, Inpari 10, Inpari 11 and Inpari 19 and a previous populair varieties such as Situ Bagendit was used in this trial. The experiment was designed using randomized complete block design with three replicatioins. Data indicated that the highest yield adaptability was found in Inpari 19, Inpago 8 and Situ Bagendit indicated by yield stability with relatively small deviation from regressions (0.15, 0.08, and 0.17, respectively), meanwhile Inpari 10, Inpari 11, Inpago 5 and Inpari 7 possessed low yield adaptability indicated by yield instability with big and significantly different deviation from regressions (3.86*, 3.96*, 2.86* and 2.98*, respectively). The highest average yield was obtained by Inpari 19 (6.42 ton ha-1) and followed by Inpari 10 (6.02 ton ha-1), and Inpari 11 (5.78 ton ha-1). The highest environment index for grain yield was found at Playen (Midle Zone, 0.73), Patuk and Ngawen (North Zone, 0.62 and 0.60 respectively). Keywords: adaptability, environment, new superior varieties, rice

Abstract

To achieve self-sufficiency in rice once a surplus of 10 million tons in 2014, one way could be reached by the application of technology. This review describes the rice cultivation technologies that have been and are being developed in West Sumatra by different institutions. Integrated Crop Management (ICM) is a technology recommendation of the Ministry of Agriculture. ICM in West Sumatra began in 2001. ICM technology is the integration of technological components, such as: young seedlings, seed quality, planting less than 3 plants per hill, new high yielding varieties, improved soil aeration with intermittent irrigation, the use of organic fertilizer, site-specific nutrient management through fertilizer N efficiency use LCC, as well as the use of P and K fertilizers based on soil nutrient status. Rice result achievement by ICM technology of various locations in West Sumatra is 5.30 to 7.25 t/ha. ICM has been implemented in the form of ICM-Field School in accelerating the deployment of technological innovation. SRI (The System of Rice Intensification) technology in pioneered by the Faculty of Agriculture, Andalas University since 2004. Four main components in the SRI are: the use of young seedlings, one seedling per planting point, plant spacing rare, and no stagnant water throughout the season. Increased productivity by SRI technolgy is mainly due to the increased number of productive tillers significantly, ie 40-80 plants per hill. Rice productivity achieved about 7.8 t/ha versus conventional farming productivity about 4.5 t/ha. Padi Tanam Sabatang/PTS (One-stem Planting Rice), is a rice-planting movement are programmed by the Agricultural Service of West Sumatra Province with District/City Agricultural Service all of West Sumatra. PTS that recommended since 2006 is actually a modification of the SRI technology. Component technologies that are emphasized include: the use of organic fertilizer, planting young seedlings one plant per hill, plant spacing of 30 x 30 cm or more, and the setting limited puddle during growth. Result achievement of rice with PTS technology about 7.0 t/ha. PTS has been applied to the level of Farmers Group or farmers through PTS-Field School. Keywords: lowland rice, crop cultivation, site-specific innovations, and West Sumatra.
