Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal and describe the growth pattern and profile of fish reproduction and water quality at Serayu River in Banyumas District. This research was conducted using survey method with purposive random sampling technique. The research was conducted in three research locations, each study location was determined by three research stations, and each research station was determined by three sampling points. Fish sampling using fishing nets and hand web, conducted 10 times sampling for each tool at each sampling point. Fish from sampling results were identified by key identification of fish according to Saanin (1968; 1984); Kottelat et al., (1993) and verified at Pusat Penelitian Biologi Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LBN-LIPI) Cibinong and www. FishBase. org. Analysis of condition factor, fecundity, maturity level of gonad, gonad maturity index, and sex ratio based on Susanto (2015); Lagler et al. (1977), and Effendie (1979). Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded: (1) The quality of waters including physical and chemical parameters of waters, namely: temperature, current velocity, water brightness, dissolved oxygen content and pH and variation of plankton species at Serayu River in Banyumas District are in good condition and suitable for fish life. (2) Reproductive profile of fish at Serayu River in Banyumas District is not ideal.

Abstract

Pengembangan pangan fungsional berbasis bahan baku lokal menjadi hal penting dalam hal diversifikasi produk. Bahan baku lokal yang belum optimal pemanfaatannya menjadi alasan utama dalam pengembangan produk pangan fungsional ini. Salah satu produk yang saat ini menarik perhatian bagi masyarakat yaitu produk kefir. Kefir sama halnya dengan yoghurt yang merupakan produk susu fermentasi namun kefir memiliki tekstur yang lebih cair dibandingkan dengan yoghurt yang selama ini beredar di pasaran. Selain itu kefir memiliki mikroba yang lebih beragam dibandingkan dengan yoghurt dimana mikroba seperti Lactobacillus caucasus, Leuconoc, spesies Acetobacter, ragi Saccaromyces tidak dimiliki oleh yoghurt. Dengan demikian pengembangan pangan fungsional sebagai kefir menjadi peluang yang patut untuk dimanfaatkan. Penelitian dilakukan dalam 2 tahap yaitu pembuatan nira water kefir dan tahap kedua dengan pengujian kualitas water kefir meliputi uji total asam, total gula, pH, mikrobiologis (total BAL, total khamir) dan organoleptik dengan menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakan waktu inkubasi (6 jam, 12 jam, 18 jam, 24 jam). Masing-masing perlakuan menggunakan 5 kali ulangan sehingga dilakukan 20 percobaan yang kemudian data yang diperoleh diuji menggunakan metode analisis ragam ANOVA (Analysis of Variant) kemudian dilanjutkan uji lanjutan BNT (Beda Nyata Terkecil).Waktu fermentasi terbaik dalam memperoleh sifat mikrobiologis, kimia serta fisik adalah waktu fermentasi 24 jam dimana semakin lama fermentasi semakin tinggi sifat mikrobiologis yaitu BAL 12,1 x 107 cfu/ml dan khamir 3,4 x 105 cfu/ml serta semakin tinggi total asam akan semakin rendah total gula. Namun uji organoleptic kesukaan menunjukkan jika waktu fermentasi 18 jam paling disukai.

Abstract

This research was conducted to study weed species and weed dominance on maize crop at several altitutes in Kembaran districts (0-250 m alt) and Sumbang Districs (250-500 m alt), Banyumas regency. The research was arranged in a survey and weed vegetation analysis on maize crop at two different locations determined. There are 6 locations of maize crops every altitutes level (each 20mx20m). Every fields determined 10 samples plot (each 1mx1m). The results showed that weed dominance on maize crop (0-250 m alt) are Cynodon dactylon (SDR : 12,39), Eclipta prostrata (SDR : 11,09), Digitaria sanguinalis (SDR : 9,76), Leptochloa chinensis (SDR : 9,53) dan Cyperus rotundus (SDR : 8,82). Weed dominance on maize crop (250-500 m alt) are Eclipta prostrata (SDR : 13,78), Cynodon dactylon (SDR : 12,81), Leptochloa chinensis (SDR : 12,29), Cyperus rotundus (SDR : 11,47) dan Digitaria sanguinalis (SDR : 10,46).

Abstract

System availability to access climatology data especially precipitation data is needed to facilitate a variety of interested parties to use it for analysis purpose. Theoritically, it is better to analyze about 30 years of data to describe the climatic condition in a region, but to determine the exact minimum length of optimum rainfall data, a linear regression formula Y = (4.30t x log(R))2 + 6 can be used. Jatinangor as developing region do not have any complete climate conditions data yet, so to get an idea of its climate condition a minimum precipitation data analysis is needed. Precipitation data of Jatinangor is available from years 1994 to 2010 with the presence of missing data from August 2005 to December 2007 due to equipment damage, so its necessary to assest the missing data using reciprocal method. After analysis is done, it showed that there certain month that are still not meet the minimum data length requirements, especially in dry months because a longer period of data would normalize the data and will become easier to perform calculations and data analysis to describe the climatic conditions in Jatinangor.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan cendawan entomopatogen sebagai agens pengendali hayati merupakan salah satu cara untuk menghindari dampak negatif bahan kimia terhadap lingkungan. Cendawan entomopatogen yang telah banyak digunakan untuk pengendalian serangga hama secara hayati adalah Beauveria bassiana, Metarhizium anisopliae, Aspergillus sp., Nomuraea rileyi. Cendawan tersebut bersifat patogenik terhadap berbagai jenis serangga dengan kisaran inang yang luas. Cendawan entomopatogen lebih mudah didapatkan pada daerah rizosfer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengetahui cendawan yang terdapat pada rizosfer berbagai tanaman hortikultura di beberapa wilayah Kabupaten Mandailing Natal. Cendawan entomopatogen diambil dari tanah di sekitar tanaman (rizosfer) hortikultura di 8 lokasi yaitu lahan pertanaman sawi, mentimun, kacang panjang, tomat, kedelai jagung, kacang hijau dan terung. Sampel tanah diambil pada lima titik dengan sistem diagonal. Isolasi cendawan dari tanah dilakukan dengan metode perangkap serangga (Insect baid method). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dari seluruh tanah yang diteliti hanya ditemukan 1 genus cendawan entomopatogen dari rizosfer berbagai tanaman hortikultura di beberapa wilayah kabupaten Mandailing Natal yaitu Metarhizium.

Abstract

Kaligiri village is a village with a prosperous agricultural potential one of which is its black rice, but most local farmers have not been able to develop innovation due to minimal education and knowledge. With the entrepreneurship training and product making of BRO RASTA CAKE it is hoped that farmers can learn about new innovations of processed black rice to improve their economy, BRO RAST CAKE training includes entrepreneurship training, product marketing training and black rice Brownies making practices, which are interdependent from all three training. The result is that farmers are able to make innovations of processed food products from black rice that can boost their economy and also create new jobs.
