Abstract

The problem in this study is about decorative design of traditional bridal costumein Lubuk Begalung Padang which is undergoing changes. It happens because of the traditional bridal costume is now used as a fashion service industry,   so that many people in Padang, especially the younger generation do not know the bridal costume ranging from traditional bridal costume of brideuntil traditional bridal costume ofbridegroom. This study aims to describe the decorative design of a traditional bridal costumein Padang. The method that used in this study is a qualitative case study method . The type of data is primary that are data from management and employees of businesses and secondary data obtained from the documentation. The technique of collecting data through observation, interview and documentation. The analysis technique is inductive based on the facts that already found and it can be constructedthen into a hypothesis or theory . In order to obtain the valid data, the researchers tested the validity of the data by means of an extension of the observation, diligence research, triangulation and auditing . The results of the study are: the decorative design of a traditional bridal costumein Lubuk Begalung Padang,for the bridal costume ofbridegroom is baju rokiusing a star, a butterfly and a tabua roti motif with taburan loyanglatching, on celana roki and waistcoatusing lace gold thread latching. Motives are used by sisamping: itik pulang patang, bada Mudiak, batang pinang, bungo sikakau, salapah, balah kacang, pucuk rabuang, and salauak laka.Sisamping derived from pandai sikekwoven red base color . The bridal costume ofbride isBaju kurung,known as "baju kurung bajaik". It is using florals located on the front/chest and the surface of baju kurung, phoenix on the surface using gold thread embroidery and suji kapalo samek, decorative patterns found on the baju kurungaresowing pattern, the fringe standspattern, dependent peripherypattern, the periphery runspattern, and decorative patterns fill the triangular fields.Kodekorsarong is red base color of songket came frompandai sikek woven using itik pulang patangmotif, bada mudiakmotif, batang pinangmotif, bungo cukia kaluakmotif, salapahmotif, balah kacangmotif, pucuk rabuangmotif, and salauak lakamotif.   Kata Kunci: Pakaianpengantin tradisional, disain ragam hias, motif, kombinasi warna, teknik hias, pola hias Lubuk Begalung Padang

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the patterns, materials, weaving techniques and types of products in woven Kubang. This research is descriptive qualitative research method .The type of data in the form of primary and secondary data.The technique of collecting data through observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis techniques with interactive model analysis techniques relating to the subject matter that is the data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the research are woven motifs Kubang there are 23 types. The motive there that comes from plants, animals and objects. Thread woven material that is lungsi, and the weft yarn making motive. Weaving technique originally prepare tools and materials. Before the weaving process begins there are some processes that need to be done are: mangumpa, menghani, mengarok, menyuri and connecting threads and menuring. After all the process completed before the weaving process begin. The products produced by the weave Kubang is baju kurung, a skirt, scarf, abaya ,koko ,dress shirt, sarong ,songket and children clothing .     Kata kunci: tenunan Kubang, kecamatan guguak

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to examine the relationship variables with the variable learning discipline learning outcomes, and measure the closeness of the relationship between the two variables. This type of research is descriptive correlational. The population in this study were students of class X and XI majors SMK 1 dressmaking Ampek Angkek totaling 47 individuals and the entire population sampled. As an instrument to determine student learning discipline using a questionnaire (questionnaire) that have been tested for validity and reliability, while learning to know the results obtained in productive subjects of documentation studies teachers. Analysis using Achievement Level Percentage of respondents (TCR), correlation analysis using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation and continued with the t test for the significance of the correlation analysis and to test the hypotheses using correlation coefficient analysis and correlation coefficients analysis of significance. The results showed that, the percentage of respondents' level of achievement on indicators of discipline learned at school by 61% in the low category and the discipline of learning at home indicator score obtained by 63% with the low category, the overall percentage of respondents in the achievement of student learning discipline variables obtained a score of 62% with low category. While the results of productive study subjects most students received grades that are not completed in the amount of 66% and only 34% of students who pass. Correlation analysis was the score of 0.608 with a strong correlation interpretation, correlation significance test showed price t count> t table (21.004> 2.021) which means that the Ha which says there are positive and significant relationship between the discipline of learning to the learning outcomes of students earning subjects Programs SMK 1 dressmaking Ampek Angkek received a significant level of 95%.     Kata kunci: Disiplin, Pelajaran Produktif, Hasil Belajar

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of using pachyrizus masks against acne scars fading stains judged from the brightness level of skin color and fading acne scars blemishes. Acne scarsoften complained, especiallyadolescentsaged18-25yearsyoung adultsorinpuberty. The study was conducted with three different treatment groups , namely control group (X0) , experimental group 1 (X1) and experimental group 2 (X2) . Designresearchis was Quasi Experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group . The object of research is a stain on the skin of acne scars . The sampling technique used purposive sampling conducted in volunteers . Data collected in the form of primary data collected directly from the sample by filling out the assessment form has been provided . Analysis of the data using Analysis of Variance and Duncan test . The research indicate that acne scars fading stains without the use of pachyrizus mask on X0 group showed no significant change in the results towards better on every indicator , for X1 group showed significant gains in each indicator as well as the X2 group showed a significant result on each indicator. The use of masks pachyrizus stains can fade acne scars and brighten the skin with the regular use by the usage frequency of 1 times in 3 days treatment group X1.   Kata Kunci : masker bengkuang, noda bekas jerawat

Abstract

This study aimed to determine how much workload given to roomboy and labor productivity in the Housekeeping Department roomboy Premier Basko Hotel Padang. The study consisted of two indicators of workload analysis and needs roomboy namely : the amount of work (number of rooms) and working time (per hour). This research is descriptive quantitative research. The population of this research is the data room occupancy on the number of uninhabited rooms, check out the number of rooms uninhabited rooms along with the percentage derived from the Housekeeping Department of Premier Basko Hotel Padang. The study concluded that the main tasks of this research are roomboy clean room uninhabited (occupied), check out the room, and the room is empty on one section (morning shift). The use of productive work time based roomboy given workload is over 360 minutes. Ideal number of requirements in Housekeeping Department roomboy Premier Basko Hotel Padang is 11 people in one section on the morning shift.   Kata kunci : beban kerja, kebutuhan roomboy.

Abstract

 ¹ Prodi Pendidikan Kesejahteraan Keluarga untuk wisuda periode 100 Juni 2014 ² Dosen Jurusan Kesejahteraan Keluarga FT-UNP This research is a descriptive qualitative approach, which aims to describe the batik Kerinci in City Sungai Penuh, include: materials and tools used, motifs and batik techniques. Results of the study revealed: Fabrics used are cotton cloth with brand mori primisima and primed, shantung, silk and semi-silk. Wax used is carik, tembok, biron and recycled wax. The dye used is composed of: 1). Natural dyes that guava leaf extract, skin jengkol, mango leaves, the contents of saffron, onion skins and indigo grass. 2). Synthetic dyestuffs is napthol, indigosol, rapite, procion and Ramazol. Tool is a pencil, centimeters, scissors, wax paper, canting klowong, canting cap, pans, stove oil, canting walls, brush, cardboard, ender, cap table, cloth gloves, rags, cotton bud, scales, aqua glass, spoon plastic, metal spoon, bowl, bucket, scoop, plastic gloves, pot, super, sedok wood, buckets and wood stove. Motifs used is: terung pirus motif, biloik (lumbung padi), Masjid Angung and ukiran Masjid Agung, kulit manis, bungo pandan, pakau imbo, tumpal, tulisan incung, lapek terawang, enceng gondok, selampit simpei, pinggiran, jangki terawang, empat jenis, sirih tanyo, bunga reflesia, cerano, keluk paku, roda pedati, bakul, daun sirih, ketupat and patah tumbuh hilang berganti. Making process include: measuring and cutting cloth (mori), mordanting, patterns, ngelowong and mencap, mencolet, nembok, coloring dan melorot. Kata kunci: Batik Kerinci, Kota Sungai Penuh

Abstract

Mi is a favored food of children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. Processing is still wet noodles made ​​from wheat flour main, people are still consuming more white rice and variety of wet processing of rice flour noodles red no. The study aimed to analyze the influence of quality and distinction susbtitusi brown rice flour 0 %, 30 %, 40 % and 50 % of the quality of the color, texture, aroma, taste of wet noodles. This type of research design completely randomized experiment with three replications . The object of research is wet noodles with brown rice flour substitution of 0 %, 30 %, 40 % and 50 %. This research was conducted in December 2013 by 30 panelists. The analysis is carried out by organoleptic test by test and hedonic level. Hypothesis test results show there are significant use brown rice flour 0%, 30 %, 40 % and 50 % of the wet noodle quality. Substitution of brown rice flour 50 % substitution showed a better effect on the quality of red -brown color, aromas of red rice is flavorful, and the taste is quite noticeably brown rice. Substitution of 0 % and 30 % give effect to the texture and elasticity of the category decision ketidakmudah chewy and rather easily broken. And hedonic test results indicate that the substitution of 50 % liked the most in terms of taste and aroma. Keywords: effect, substitution, brown rice flour, wet noodles

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship of the price of a dorm room rental with purchase decisions boarding students of Family Welfare Majority, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Padang. This research is correlational nature . The population in this research was student of Family Welfare Majority, Faculty of Engineering , State University of Padang who did rent a dorm room, still active and registered in their study . The sampling technique is proportional random sampling, a total of 88 people . Data was collected using a questionnaire ( questionnaire ) by using a Likert’s scale that has been tested for validity and reliability . Furthermore, the data were analyzed through descriptive analysis and correlation with the help of computer program SPSS version 16.00. Based on the survey results revealed this means that overall rental rates affordable dorm room offered by the student's financial abilities, that is the conclusion the students to make purchases of a boarding house with the purchase decision process steps in accordance with the student wants .   Keywords: prices, rent, room, boarding, purchase decision.

Abstract

The use of purple sweet potato in food processing is an attempt to diversify the food, one of which is in the processing of ice cream. This study aimed to analyze the effect of different composition of purple sweet potato as much as 15%, 20%, and 25%, the quality of the ice cream. This research was an experiment using a completely randomized design with three replications by 30 panelis. The results of the hypothesis test showed influence on the level of the commission of the third. The quality level of the test was a better color on the addition of 25%, better flavor, namely the addition of 15%, better texture, namely the addition of 15% and a better sense that the addition of 15%. Hedonic test quality better color namely the addition of 25%, better flavor is the addition of 15%, better texture, namely the addition of 15% and a better sense that the addition of 15%. Abstract

This research is motivated by socio-cultural developments that occurred among the society and modernization in fashion design which includes models, materials, colors, and embellishments. These cause the changes intraditional fashion that should be conserved by the society who use it, one whichoccurred insociety at Kurai, Bukittinggi. The purpose of this research is to describe the design of traditional wedding dress of Kurai Bukittinggi in terms of models, materials, colors, embellishments and also describe the meaning of the philosophy contained in that traditional wedding dress of Kurai Bukittinggi. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. This research was held in Kurai, Bukittinggi. Data which are collected in this research were taken from the observations, interviews, and documentations. This research also used the techniques of data analysis namely data reduction, data presentation and taking conclusion. To obtain valid data by doing an extension ofobservation, perseverance of observation, triangulation and auditing. The results of the research of traditional wedding dress in Kurai, Bukittinggi consists of the bridal clothes for the bride and bridegroom. The clothes of bridegroom consists of a suit, sarawa lambuak, sisampiang, cawek (waist belt), saluak, tie, karih (dagger), tungkek (stick), kampierokok, and tarompasapik (footwear). The clothes of the bride consists of a dress called bajukuruangbatabua, kodekbalapak, salendangbalapak, tokoksanggua, jewellery, tarompasaruang (footwear), and uncang (purse). The philosophy's meaning from traditional wedding dress generally contain the culture messages and the basic values of Islam teaching as stated in a proverb in Minang“Adaik Basandi Syarak, Syarak Basandi Kitabullah” and one of the wedding dress which is has a philosophy meaning is only the traditional wedding dress in Minang. Meanwhile the suit, shirt, and tie have no philosophy meaning because there is not  in Minang culture traditionally, however Western culture adopted into Minangkabau culture and used as a part of the wedding dress of Kurai, Bukittinggi.   Kata Kunci: Busana pengantin tradisional, desain, makna filosofi, Kurai Bukittingi
