Abstract

The change of value is a reality that is has been occurred in society. Changes in one aspect of values will have implications for other aspects including activities that exist in madrasa, because madrasa is part of the sub-system of the community. Changes of respect value also occurs in the community around MI Maarif Kokap was located, precisely in the Menoreh hills of Yogyakarta, whereas this value is an important value that will affect the existence of the community itself.This article discusses the internalization of respect in MI Maarif Kokap Kulon Progo DIY. The results of the study show that respect internalization is carried out through classroom learning and activities that are routine and informal outside the classroom. These activities can effectively safeguard respect towards students, so students have a habit of implementing them. The success of respect internalization in MI Maarif can increase public trust in the existence of the madrasah.Keyword; internalization, change, value

Abstract

Textbooks as one of the learning tools play an important role to improve the quality of learning that is carried out by a teacher. Textbooks can affect the reader either teachers or students in all aspects, i.e thinking, attitudes and behavior. Writers on this occasion would explain the quality of textbooks on the subjects of faith and morality particulary at primary school in Grade 4, 5 and 6. Analyzed book begins from standards of competence and basic competence, purpose, material in the book as well as an image or chart in that book. Next, the analysis is done by comparing the standards of competence and basic competence with the material displayed in the book which consists of images, making the proposition, multicultural and gender mainstering.Keyword; textbook learning, moral and faith learning

Abstract

Abstract This research is aimed to prove whe of positive and significant influence from the teachers competence, job motivation teachers, job environment teachers, and principals leadership on the teachers performance of state vocational high school in Yogyakarta Special Region both partially and simultaneously. The population of this research were 169 teachers of state vocational high school productive program of turism group in Yogyakarta Special Region. The sample of this research were 118 teachers who represent each school proportionally. The sampling technique used was proportional random sampling. The instrument used in this research was questionnaire, which was used to measure teachers performance variable, teachers competence, job motivation teachers, job environment teachers, and principals leadership. The result of hypothesis test shows that: (1) the influence of the teacher’s competence on the teacher’s performance is positive and significant, (2) the influence of the job motivation on the teacher’s performance is positive and significant, (3) the influence the job environment on the teacher’s performance is positive and significant, (4) the influence of the principal’s leadership on the teacher’s performance is positive and significant, and (5) the teacher’s competence, job motivation, job environment, and principal’s leadership in aggregate have positive and significant influence on the teacher’s performance of vocational high school productive program of turism group in Yogyakarta Special Region. Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai Peran Guru PAI Terhadap Pembinaan Ibadah Siswa Kelas X MAN Yogyakarta II. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskripsif. Dalam penelitian ini mengunakan purposive sampling dengan subjek guru PAI dan siswa kelas X dengan jumlah sembilan. Adapun yang menjadi objek adalah bentuk-bentuk pembinaan ibadah dan peran guru PAI. Pengumpulan data mengunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis mengunakan Model Miler and Huberman yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan menyimpulkan data. Untuk memvaliditasi mengunakan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bentuk-bentuk pembinaan ibadah siswa kelas X MAN Yogyakarta II diantaranya: pembinaan matrikulasi, pesantren sabtu ahad (petuah), pengabdian masyarakat. Sedangkan Peran guru PAI diantaranya mengajar, memotivasi, mengarahkan, memfasilitasi, mengevaluasi mendidik.

Abstract

This study aims to explain how the problem posing approach adopted in the study of mathematics can develop students' critical thinking skills. The method used in this research is literature study (library research). The data in this study is a secondary data such as the results of the research as scientific books, scientific journals, research reports, and other relevant sources. Data analysis techniques in the study include three stages, namely organize, synthesize, and identify.These results showed that the problem posing approach to the stages of learning, among others (1) create a situation of mathematics; (2) create a mathematical question; (3) solve math problem; (4) to apply mathematics, has relevance to the indicators on critical thinking skills, which include interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and decision. Overall, it was concluded that the students' critical thinking skills can be improved by the application of problem posing approach in the learning process.

Abstract

KH Wahid Hasyim is a figure of clergy and statesman who is undoubtedly his service to the state. As a cleric, he is son of KH Hasyim Asy’ari, the founder of Nahdatul Ulama, the largest Islamic organization in Indonesa. As a statesman, he served as a minister of  religion. His work in the academic world and his struggle and educating the people is well known and made an impression. In outlining the policy in the world of education, certainly not apart from the Islamic backround and statesmanship he has. This make his thinking to be balanced between the inner and outer dimensions, between traditionality and modernity. This paper attemps to decipher Wahid Hasyim’s biography and the examines his thoughts in education as well as his relation to education in the modern world. Abstract

Answering the question of why Muslims fall down suffering in many fields, including economics, is the work done by Chapra in this book. By using the model of the dynamics of socio-economic  analysis  of  Ibn Khaldun,  he  began  to  read  and  trace the history of Muslims.  Eventually he gained a few main factors causing the decline of Islam, namely:  the movement of sufism which is not running on rails of origin,  poor appreciation of the  role of women, and declining quality of education. Deterioration occurs because of political authority (G)  negligent of  its responsibilities,  especially  in  upholding justice  and  Shariah,   guarantee facilities to the people (N),   and realize their full potential. According to him,  an urgent solutions must be implemented by Muslims are  moving  revival (resurrection) of Islam with one of  its programs to critically analyze what is coming from the West to conform to the Islamic world view and values.  The call to develop Islamic economics is just one strand of the Islamic revivalism movement.Keywords: socio-economic dynamics, Sufism, women, education, despotism, revivalism

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effects of the attention of students’ parents (X1), teachers’ teaching competence (X2), students’ learning motivation (X3), and learning facilities (X4), as individual variables and as an aggregate, on the learning achievement of Social Studies (SS) the students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) in di Bantul Regency Yogyakarta.This was an ex post facto study with a population comprising 194 students of MI fifth grade in Bantul Regency Yogyakarta. The sample consisted of 137 students with cluster sampling technique.The data were collected through questionnaires, i.e. questionnaire 1 to collect the data on the variable of the attention of students’ parents, questionnaire 2 to collect the data on the variable of teachers’ teaching competence, questionnaire 3 to collect the data on the variable of students’ learning motivation, and questionnaire 4 to collect the data on the variable of learning facilities. The study was conducted from November to December 2012. The data were analyzed using the simple linear regression and the multiple linear regression.The results of the study are as follows shows that: 1) there is a significant effect of the attention of students’ parents on the learning achievement of SS the students of MI fifth grade in Bantul Regency Yogyakarta with the significance level as much as 0.012 < 0.05; 2) there is a significant effect of teachers’ teaching competence on the learning achievement of SS the students of MI fifth grade in Bantul Regency Yogyakarta with the significance level as much as 0.003 < 0.05; 3) there is a significant effect of students’ learning motivation on the learning achievement of SS the students of MI fifth grade in Bantul Regency Yogyakarta with the significance level as much as 0.007 < 0.05; 4) there is a significant effect of learning facilities on the learning achievement of SS the students of MI fifth grade in Bantul Regency Yogyakarta with the significance level as much as 0.008 < 0.05; and 5) there are effects of the attention of students’ parents, teachers’ teaching competence, students’ learning motivation, and learning facilities as an aggregate on the learning achievement of SS the students of MI fifth grade in Bantul Regency Yogyakarta as much as 57.4% with Fobserved = 44.76 > Ftable = 8,229 and p = 0.000 < 0.05. The results show that the factors of the attention of students’ parents, teachers’ teaching competence, students’ learning motivation, and learning facilities can have effects on the learning achievement of SS the students of MI fifth grade in Bantul Regency Yogyakarta . Keyword: learning achievement

Abstract

Abstract The great consciousness to the character internalization of students through education begins from the government’s concern to the students who have been doing the decency value for example dishonest, no discipline, no respect for teachers, truancy, late which is often done by school students. This research was conducted to reveal the character of students trough the integration character value on PAI learning that held in MTs Maarif Jangkaran, MTs Maarif Wates, MTs Muhammadiyah Wates and MTs Muhammadiyah Sentolo. The method used is descriptive qualitative analysis, with data collection done by observation complemented by interviews and documentation. The results showed that all private MTs at Kulon Progo district integrate the character (religious, honest, independent, communicative, responsible and democratic) in the PAI study done by a particular emphasis on offensive material value problem. In general, the integration of /characters in PAI learning to be effective, because it is supported by the enough facilities at the four private MTs, although there are obstacles integrating character values such as the perception of teachers PAI equalize the character with morals.
