Abstract

ABSTRACT   The aim of this research to determine the contribution of mastery of the competency of teachers with PLK (Praktek Lapangan Kependidikan) the interest to be a teacher  by students of Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan of Civil Enggineering FT-UNP the class of 2009.This research method descriptive study conducted. The subjects are students of Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan of Civil Enggineering FT-UNP the class of 2009, that have implemented PLK.  The data was collected using a questionnaire and documentation. The technique of data analysis was performed by using descriptive correlational analysis. The results of this research indicate that students of Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan of Civil Enggineering FT-UNP the class of 2009,  within the competence of the teacher as PLK (Praktek Lapangan Kependidikan) mastery by 32 respondents (96.96%) including the excellent category and 1 respondent (3.03%) including the good categories. Interest of students to be included in the category of enough teacher which is 70%. While mastery of the competency of teachers have contributed to the interest in becoming a teacher of 33.87%. The research results, we can conclude the better mastery of the competency of teachers, the greater the contribution to the interest in becom a teacher. Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of the research is knowing the relation between student expectations for teachers with student learning achievment in science subjects statics and voltage class X program expertise Stone and Concrete Engineering SMK N 5 Padang 2014/2015. This research is descriptive correlational. The number of samples in this study were 27 students, the selection of the sample using total sampling technique for a student population of just 27 students. Data were collected through questionnaires student expectations and learning outcomes data through documentation of the midterm results of class X program expertise Stone and Concrete Construction Engineering. Test requirements analysis using normality test, linearity and correlation test. The analytical method used is simple regression correlation analysis. The results of of research that there is a positive correlation between student expectation of student learning achievment, evidenced r hit price (0.889) greater than r tab (0.381). The coefficient of determination indicates that the contribution to the student learning achievment for 79%. It can be said that influence student expectation and students learning achievment are very high. Keywords: Students Expectation, Student Learning Achievment

Abstract

Abstract­— This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of technical drawing subjects in the Department of Building Drawing Engineering at SMK N 2 Payakumbuh. This study aims to determine how much the relationship between Emosional Quotient and learning outcomes of technical drawings. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The population in this study were students of class XI TGB expertise program at SMK 2 Payakumbuh. The number of students is 51 people from 2 classes. The study sample consisted of all students of class XI TGB totaling 51 people. Sampling uses total sampling. The variables studied were 2 variables. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The number of statements on the questionnaire are 35 items. Before data collection was carried out, a trial was conducted on class XI students of the TGB expertise program at SMKN 1 Tilatang Kamang, which numbered 21 people. This is done to find out whether the instrument is valid and reliable. Data were analyzed manually and using the SPSS 17.00 application. The result of the correlation coefficient is 0.427 which means it is strong enough, with a level of α 0.002 <0.05 which means significant. Keywords: Emosional Intelegent, The Results of Learning, Technical Drawings

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui nilai konsolidasi tanah pada gedung TVRI, pada dasarnya gedung TVRI ini sama dengan gedung-gedung lainnya yang berada di Kota Padang, dikarenakan kondisi  tanah lunak maka diperlukan mengetahui konsolidasi yang terjadi setelah gempa 2009 dengan kekuatan 7.6 SR. Beberapa pengujian yang dilakukan guna mengetahui karakteristik tanah seperti : kadar air, berat jenis, batas cair, batas plastis, berat volume dan analisis saringan untuk mendapatkan karakteristik tanah, sedangkan untuk melihat penurunan tanah digunakan uji konsolidasi. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian analisis saringan didapatkan hasil dengan karakteristik tanah lulus saringan nomor 200 sebesar 12% maka tanah di kategorikan pada tanah berbutir kasar, untuk hasil pengujian batas cair didapatkan indeks plastisitas sebesar 21,19% maka tanah dikatakan berjenis lempung plastis. Untuk hasil uji konsolidasi pada titik 1 didapatkan Cc= 0,155, 0,330, 0,016 dan nilai Cv=0.0318, 0.0279, 0.0277, sedangkan untuk titik 2 didapatkan hasil Cc=0.172, 0.204, 0.014 dan nilai Cv=0.0211, 0.0250, 0.0210

Abstract

Abstrak—Penelitian ini berawal dari sedikitnya mahasiswa lulusan Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan Universitas Negri Padang bekerja sebagai guru. Tujuan penelitian ingin mengetahui kesiapan mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan UNP bekerja sebagai guru tahun masuk 2015 ditinjau dari faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesiapan. Penelitian ini merupakan deskriptif jumlah populasi 56 orang mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan tahun masuk 2015 yang telah melakukan PPLK. Sampel sebanya 56 orang mahasiswa diambil dengan teknik total sampling karena populasi kurang dari 100, pengumpulan data mengunakan angket dengan Skala Likert terdiri dari 5 pilihan jawaban. Uji coba penelitian dilakukan kepada 30 orang mahasiswa tahun masuk 2014. Jumlah pernyataan angket penelitian 32 Butir. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan kesiapan mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan UNP bekerja sebagai guru ditinjau dari faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesiapan sebagai berikut. Sub indikator bakat  kategori siap, Sub indikator minat  kategori cukup, Sub indikator motivasi  kategori siap, Sub indikator menyikapi  kategori siap, Sub indikator lingkungan keluarga  kategori siap, Sub indikator kondisi ekonomi  kategori cukup, Sub indikator lingkungan sekolah  kategori siap.baik.Kata Kunci: kesiapan, mahasiswa , Teknik Bangunan, bekerja sebagai guru.

Abstract

Abstract—The background of this research is the absence of subjects K3 in S1 Engineering Education Building program. Therefore, needed to know the extent to which the understanding of science K3 before students implement the Industrial Field Practice (PLI) and how the level of understanding of students’ knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health (K3).The type of this research is descriptive study. The population of this research is 63 students of Undergraduate Engineering Education Program Entrance Year 2015 active in semester of July-December 2017. While the sample of research is 33 students of Undergraduate Engineering Education Program Entry in the year 2015 semester of July-December 2017. The primary data obtained through problem disseminated to respondent, while the secondary data obtained from the number of students of Engineering Engineering Education Undergraduate Year 2015. Research instrument is a test (questions) in the form of multiple choices. The problem was given to undergraduate students of EngineeringEducation Building Program in 2015 that had not implemented the PLI. The number of questions on the test is 42 questions. Before to conduct the research, the first step is in trial test, the aim is to know the level of difficulties and different power from the questions. The revie result in understanding of Occupational Safety and Health before the implementation of Industrial Field Practice (PLI) are: 1) based on the indicators of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) understanding on self and Civil Engineering Student Worker S1 PTB UNP academic year 2015 before the Implementation of PLI was low (59,89), 2) understanding of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) on Civil Engineering Student Environment S1 PTB UNP academic year 2015 before PLI implementation was low (64,50). Keywords:Understanding, Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial FieldPractice

Abstract

ABSTRACT   This descriptive research is purposed to find out the relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes for identifying construction lesson in class X SMKN 1 Pariaman. Population of this research is students of class X construction technique who are learning a subject matter of identifying building construction in their first semester, year of study 2013/2014. Samples are taken by “random sampling” technique. Instrument that is used in this research is questionnaire with Likert scale and data is analyzed by (1) descriptive analysis, (2) analysis requirement tests, that are normal test and linearity test, and (3) hypothesis tests consist of correlation test and signification test. From the results show that there is significant relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes for students of X class construction technique SMKN 1 Pariaman, with level of confidence 95%. This can be seen in correlation test result that is rhit  0.860 ≥ rtable  0.294, and from t test result that is thit  11.05 ≥ ttable  2.021. Based on results, it can be concluded that the higher learning motivation of student, the better result of student’s learning outcomes.       Keyword: Learning Motivation, Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

Latar belakang masalah penelitian adalah, beberapa guru pamong berpandangan bahwa mereka kurang puas terhadap kemampuan mengajar mahasiswa Praktek Lapangan Kependidikan (PLK). Sebagai mata kuliah prerequisite seharusnya mata kuliah Metode Mengajar Khusus (MMK) berpengaruh pada kemampuan mengajar mahasiswa PLK, namun kenyataan umumnya nilai mata kuliah MMK yang tinggi tidak sejalan dengan kemampuan mengajar mahasiswa PLK yang dianggap tidak mumpuni oleh para guru pamong. sehingga peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan hubungan antara hasil belajar MMK dengan kemampuan mengajar mahasiswa PLK FT UNP pada semester Januari-Juni 2018 di SMKN 1 Padang, SMKN 5 Padang, SMKN 1 Sumbar.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling dengan jumlah sampel 40 responden. Penelitian menggunakan instrumen angket sebagai variabel bebas yang memakai skala likert.Jumlah item dalam lembar angket adalah 50 item yang disebar kepada guru pamong pada saat penelitian.Instrumen penelitian menggunakan indikator kompetensi pedagogik dan kompetensi profesional.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel hasil belajar MMK dan kemampuan mengajar mahasiswa PLK tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan. Hal itu  terbukti dari hasil analisis data rhitung 0,123 dan rtabel 0,312. Apabila rhitung  < rtabel, ini berarti Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak maka tidak terdapat hubungan. Arah hubungan antara kedua variabel bersifat negatif.

Abstract

Abstract This research was motivated by the number of students who score low in Detailed Building Drawings course and their poor study habits, including habits in arranging study plan and schedule, attending classes, reinforcing courses, and facing examination. This study aimed to determine the relationship between study habits and students’ academic achievement in Detailed Building Drawings course semester January-June 2014 in Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering of the State University of Padang.The type of this research is a correlational research. The population of this research is students majoring Civil Engineering who took Detailed Building Drawings course in semester January-June 2014.  Samples were taken by using Taro Yamane formula. Independent variable (variable X) is study habits of students, and dependent variable (variable Y) is students’ academic achievement.From analysis of correlation, r value of 0.064 with Sig. (2-tailed) 0.651 was obtained.  This value is greater than 0.05, means that there is no relationship between study habits and students’ academic achievement in Detailed Building Drawings course semester January-June 2014 in Civil Engineering Department, FT UNP. Compared with other relevant research that show significant contribution of study habits to academic achievement, it can be concluded that study habits do not affect academic achievement in practical courses. This research is recommended for the students to review more and practice to draw at home because Detailed Building Drawings is a kind of dominant  practice course which needs the students’ ability and creativity in drawings. Abstract

Abstract— This study aims to find out the influence of social-economy status of a parent toward the entrepreneurship interest of Civil Engineering students. This research applies Descriptive quantitative method with a total population of 77 students of Civil Engineering and Building 2017, FT UNP. The technique of sampling the data by using Proporsive Random Sampling with 47 persons of the total sample. The technique of collecting the data by using a questionnaire method. Before conducting research on 47students, the research trial is conducted with 30 students of Civil Engineering and Building 2017, FT UNP. The trial aims to find out whether the instrument use is valid and reliable. The processing data in this research by using the SPSS 16.00program. The result of this study indicates that there is no influence between the last education and income of a parent towards the interest in entrepreneurship in Civil Engineering and Building students of 2017. Keywords: Parent’s last education, parent’s income, interest in entrepreneurship, Civil Engineering and Building 2017.
