Abstract

Abstract. The stages of mining planning are divided into 3 time periods, namely long term planning, medium term (quarterly plan), and short term planning (daily plan). The current condition of coal mining activities has been above the boundary pit limit so the company will conduct mining in other blocks and the mining will focus on seamless C Pit 1 North for the progress of the next mine. Geotechnical parameters obtained from the bench height of 9 meters wide bench 10 meters with an angle of 450. Road geometry for a straight road 25 meters and for a bend of 29 meters. The results of the Banko West Mine 1 North pit pit reserve design in 2020 obtained 3.404.805 tons of coal and 14.372.990,6 BCM overburden with a stripping ratio of 1: 4,22. The planned production target is determined based on the ability of the main mining equipment each month, namely 2 PC2000 fleets, 3 PC1250 fleets for overburden and 3 PC400 fleets for coal. 15 DT Hino / Fuso (3 fleet PC400) The total cost for coal sales is Rp 3.130.468.832.960,71, for overburden stripping Rp. 553.360.138.100,00 and for coal production costs Rp. 40.857.657.600,00, so mining is feasible.Keywords: Boundary, Bench, Fleets, Pit Reserve, Seam

Abstract

Abstract. Flyrocks is a situation where a miss occurs due to a problem when blasting occurs. Some things that might cause a flyrock are no free face, inappropriate stemming, shallow holes and too many rows. It is expected that with the appropriate geometry can minimize the impact of flyrock that occurs during blasting because it can endanger the tools, buildings and humans that are around the blasting. The research location is in CV Tekad Jaya. The study was conducted by measuring the actual maximum throw distance of the flyrock in the field. Observations were made 35 times. Estimated flyrock throw distances use two methods namely Richard and Moore's theory (2005) to see the impact of stemming and burden on flyrock and Abraham Ghasemi (2012) to see the impact of PF on flyrock. From the estimation results a new geometry was designed using the RL Ash and CJ Konya methods to get a new geometry that has a minimum flyrock. Then obtained nominal burden, stemming and PF of 1.9; 1.43; 0.494 for RL Ash and 2.2; 1.7; 0.397 for CJ Konya. With the geometry obtained flyrock throw distance between 12m to 40m which can be said to be safe for the company.Keywords: Blasting, Flyrock, Geometry, RL Ash, CJ Konya

Abstract

Abstract. PT. Semen Padang is a limestone mining company located in Bukit Karang Putih, Indarung, Padang City, West Sumatera using the quarry mining method. Production in October 2019 on Front C was 139.590 tons while the production target was 307.440 tons. One of the factors that influence the productivity of the conveyance is the total resistance, namely rolling resistance and grade resistance. The lowest total resistance value when loaded is in the M-20-21 segment at -2,8% while the largest in the M-5-6 segment is -14,1%. The smallest total resistance value when empty is in the M 3-2 segment by 0,47515% while the largest in the M 2-1 segment is 21,5717%. After simulating the total resistance value, the total resistance value obtained when the smallest load is in the M 8-9 segment is -2% while the largest in the 3-4 M segment is 9,3%. The smallest total resistance value when empty is in segments M 20-19 is 15,77%. With the increased productivity of the conveyance from 375.300 tons/hour/ unit with a cycle time of 25,53 minutes to 437.880 tons/ hour/unit with a cycle time of 21,88 minutes.Keywords: Production, Productivity, Total resistance, Rolling Resistance, Grade Resistance, and Cycle Time

Abstract

Abstract. PT. Semen Padang is the oldest cement factory in Indonesia which was established on March 18, 1910 under the name NV Nederlandsch Indische Portland Cement Maatschappij (NV NIPCM), which is the first cement factory in Indonesia. The activity of mining in Pit Limit Front IV development area in September 2019 occurred landslides. The landslide that occur is Toppling Failure. The actual slope is 750, the height is 20 meters, and the width is 8 meters. Based on bishop method the analysis results obtained the value of the slope safety factor (FK) in dry conditions is 1.4 with an angle of 70°, a height of 30.752 meters and a value of the Probability of Failure (PF) is 0%. the results of the analysis obtained value of the slope safety factor (FK) in saturated conditions is 1.0 with an angle of 70°, a height of 30.752 meters and a probability of failure value of 45.7%. The results of the slope design recommendations obtained the value of the slope safety factor (FK) in dry conditions is 1.9 with an angle of 66°, height of 30,752 meters and value of the probability of failure (PF) is 0%. Abstract

Abstract. PT. Satria Bahana Sarana is a contracting company engaged in coal mining services located in Bangko Barat, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra Province. In August 2019, the overburden stripping production target was 1,095,000 bcm in which the realization of field production was 645,755 bcm which reached 59%. In the production calculation using the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) method, the production value of 643,701.33 bcm is obtained with the effectiveness of each fleet of 34%, 44%, and 42% which have not reached the world OEE standard of 85%. Some of the causes of unattainable production targets are due to the many loss time in mechanical equipment that includes several factors such as system factors, human environment, and equipment. After making improvements to the loss time, a production calculation using the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) method was found to increase production value to 1.097.696 bcm which met the overburden stripping production target in North Pit 1 in August of 1,095,000 bcm. Abstract. The existence of weak fields that affect the stability of the slopes in the mining of PT. Ansar Terang Crushindo 1. The stability of the mine slope is the most important factor that must be considered in the continuation of mining activities. Initial slope geometry has a single slope with a height of 25m with a slope of 820. The slope geometry planning will be used by the Morgenstern Price methods. As a result of research, the following conclusions are drawn. The type of potential that occurred at the study site was a wedge failure with a potential of 10,93%. The analysis characterization of rock mass based on the analysis of RQD, RMR rock types on location classified in the class fair rock. Second, the results of the analysis of single slope of actual earned value FK = 1,911 (natural conditions) and FK= 1,001 (saturated condition). Third, to obtain a safe FK that is 1,3, the geometry of the slope is modified the geometry of the slope is modified, namely with a slope height of 25 m and slope 78° in saturated condition then FK 1,477 slope in safe condition.Keywords : slope stability analysis, RQD, RMR, morgenstern price method, wedge failure

Abstract

Abstract. Iron sand is generally a beach of iron sand which is widely spread, including along the west coast of Sumatra, the southern coast of Java and Bali, the beaches of Sulawesi, East Nusa Tenggara, Maluku and the north coast of Papua. Iron sand contains magnetic minerals which are materials for building tools in modern life. The great potential in South Nagari Tiku must also be followed by a market that is able to absorb the product. To find out the market potential, it is necessary to analyze the quality of iron sand in both regions. So it can be determined whether the potential in the area can have economic value or not. Nagari Tiku Selatan is located in Tanjung Mutiara District, Agam Regency, West Sumatra Province. Area of Nagari Tiku Selatan: 31.42 KM2 or 15.27% of the total area of Tanjung Mutiara District. Nagari Tiku Selatan is the capital of the sub-district, located 20 KM from the district capital and 92 KM from the provincial capital. This study aims to determine the amount of resources (quantity) and quality of iron sand in the area, using a combination of direct exploration and indirect exploration. Based on the results of the study it was found that the resource of iron sand from the area obtained from handbor lithology was 199,680 tons while from geolistrik measurements the volume was 7,987,200 tons. The total area containing iron sand in the survey area is 249,600 m2 and the total survey area is 2.3 km2. With the specific gravity obtained from physical tests of 3.2. While the quality of iron sand in the area contains between 10-20% Fe2O3, while TiO2 content between 0.6-1.7% is obtained from the analysis of samples tested in the laboratory using the XRF method.Keywords: Iron Sand, Handbor, Geolistrik, Exploration, Resources

Abstract

Abstract. Coal transportation is important in achieving coal production targets. The condition of road geometry is one of the factors that influence transportation activities. The purpose of this research is to conduct a technical study of the geometry of the coal haul road from the Sumatra Jambi-Palembang crossroads to the special port owned by PT Baturona Adimulya to achieve the coal production target. The study was conducted by direct observation to the field to obtain primary data and secondary data needed. The results of the data analysis show that the geometry of the mining road still needs to be improved in certain segments. The actual condition of the width of the B-C (bend) and E-F (straight) segments of 10.6 m and 8.5 meters wide is not yet ideal, so it is necessary to increase the width of the road respectively in the width of 0.7 meters and 0.5 meters. The actual slope of the road in all segments is ideal. The actual superelevation of the F-G segment valued at 0.29 m is not ideal yet, so the elevation outside the bend needs to be added at 0.15 meters. The actual cross slope, segments A-B and E-F, respectively 10 cm and 15 cm, are not yet ideal, so it is necessary to add height to the middle of each segment as high as 8 cm and 3 cm. Abstract. Natural disasters are disasters caused by the event or series of events due to nature. Natural disasters in recent years are very common and need preparedness, awareness and vigilance in the face of disaster, especially in the city of Solok, starting from earthquakes, landslides and so forth.Yet there is no socialization of natural disasters and disaster preparedness in SMA N 2 kota Solok so that students do not have the knowledge to mitigation and preparedness of natural disasters make the executor to conduct socialization mitigation and natural disaster preparedness to them.So that the participants in this case students understand about how to mitigate and preparedness natural disasters. The socialization is given in the form of lectures, discussions, and field practices.After the socialization was obtained increased knowledge about the mitigation of natural disasters by the students SMAN 2 Kota Solok. At pre-training (prior to training) only 71% of students who understand about mitigation and preparedness and at post-training increased to 100% of students understand the mitigation of natural disasters.Keywords: Disaster management Natural disasters, , mitigation and preparedness

Abstract

Abstract. Soil and rock material has less strength to tension, compared to pressure and shear. Tensile strength has an important role in the stability of mining activities such as drilling, blasting and making slopes and mine tunnels. Determination of the tensile strength value is currently done by testing the indirect tensile strength (Brazillian Test). In the field commonly, to prediction tension strength value used rule of thumb which is the result of analysis from previous tests, but for this case, the prediction results using rule of thumb are inaccurate. The sample used in this research is sedimentary rock taken from several coal mining locations in the Jambi province. This sample is then tested using a compressive machine to get the uniaxial compressive strength and tensile strength values. Descriptive statistical methods and linear regression methods are used in this study to obtain an accurate prediction of tensile strength based on compressive strength data. According to the descriptive statistical method the tensile strength value is 0.41 times the compressive strength value, while if it is linear regression, the result of the tensile strength value is equal to 0.2079 σc + 0.1917. Both of these methods are able to predict the value of the tensile strength better than the existing rule of thumb, but more advanced research with more samples is needed to get the better equation.Keywords: Sedimentary Rock, Brazilian Test, Tensile Strength, Compressive Strength, Prediction
