Abstract

Spirituality is one of the most influential dimensions in adolescent development. Adolescent with good spiritual sees life with optimism, clean mind and soul. Environment will affect the spiritual development of adolescents. This research aimed to understanding the adolescent spirituality living around ex-localization. This research used qualitative research design of phenomenology with in-depth interview with semi structured interview and observation. Participants were junior high school teenagers, Moslems living around exlocalization, Kota Surabaya, choose by purpossive sampling. The data analysis in this study using thematic analysis with nine steps Collaizzi. result of this research got 18 theme that is adolescent perception, adolescent behavior, adolescent relationship with parents, interaction of adolescent with society, interaction of adolescent with opposite sex, adolescent knowledge, adolescent relationship with self, autonomy, feeling during worship, SWT, the purpose of human creation, religious analysis, Allah's incomprehension, the timeliness of worship, obstacles, life goals, hopes, spiritual experiences, ways of dealing with problems, lifestyles, self-image. Adolescents who live in an ex-localization will interact with peers and the surrounding community in the neighborhood. These reciprocal relationships affect the spiritual values in teenagers. The existence of the control of parents can control the interaction process that occurs between adolescents with the surrounding community who live in ex-localization so that formed the spiritual character of adolescents.

Abstract

Hypertension is an increase in blood pressure where the systolic pressure is more than 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure is more than 90 mmHg. The cause of the onset of hypertension can be of age factor. Elderly who suffer from hypertension usually cause interruption of daily activities, so routine treatment is needed in order not to cause complications. Young coconut water contains potassium, magnesium and vitamin C which has benefits to help the body regulate blood pressure, so it can reduce hypertension. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of young coconut water on the decrease of high blood pressure in the elderly. Experimental Quasy research design with Non-Equivalent Control Group Desaign approach. The population of this study is elderly who are not dependence of hypertension drugs as much as 32 people with the number of samples of 30 respondents selected by Probability Sampling with Simple Random Sampling approach. The independent variable is young coconut water therapy, the dependent variable is the decrease of high blood pressure. Data were collected using questionnaires and observations. Data were analyzed by using Paired t-test and Independent t-test. The results showed that the consumption of young coconut water as much as 250 ml morning and afternoon for 2 weeks in the treatment group can lower systolic blood pressure. The independent t test in the treatment group and the control group obtained the result p = 0.013 (p <a = 0.05). The implication of this study is that young coconut water can lower blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension, so that young coconut water treatment can be used as one of the non-pharmacological alternative to reduce blood pressure.

Abstract

Competence test is a process of measuring the knowledge, skill, and behavior of learners in Mid-Level Expert in Nursing or Nurse Profession at the end of their study period to reach the competency standard of graduates a job competency standard. Graduation of competency test nurse student to 68,61%, indicating that there is 31,39% which not yet competent. The aim of research is to analyze the relationship of gender and student interest with graduation of competency test of nurse students. The research type is descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach. The research was conducted at Stikes General Achmad Yani Yogyakarta. The results showed that men slightly greater the number of graduates of nurse competence test than women. 11 competent men and 10 competent women. The statistical test results obtained p-value 1.00 shows no relationship between sex with the passing of competence test nurse. This study also resulted that the Nurse student program is not related to the passing of nurse competence test with p-value 0.976. Therefore, both male and female ners should still study the theory in every phase.

Abstract

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a combination of physical, psychological, and emotional symptoms that relate to the woman’s menstrual cycle. The types of this syndrome can be classified according to its symptoms: type A (anxiety), type H (hyperhydration), type C (craving), type D (depression), and the combination of all mentioned types. The objective of this research was to identify the dominant type of PMS experienced by Diploma-III students Program of Study of Midwifery – Fakultas ilmu keperawatan dan kebidanan UNUSA. This research was descriptive by using the cross sectional design. The population involved 245 Diploma-III students Program of Study of Midwifery - UNUSA in 2015-2016. 152 students were taken as the samples by using the probability sampling technique in which the simple random sampling was used. The data collected by using questionnaires and descriptive analysis . Tthe result showed that 56 students experienced PMS type A; 3 students experienced type H; 16 students experienced type C, and only one student experienced type D; whereas 76 students experienced the combination of all types which was considered as the dominant. The conclusion was that the female students having PMS would not only experience one type of syndrome, but they might also experience various types at the same time. Hence, they are expected to understand their reproductive health and to get clear information and the right solution when having PMS.

Abstract

Priority problem of clients who are hospitalized are vulnerable to anxiety and tend to get depressed, so this ailment affects the healing process. Lying weak clients who will feel saturated, thinking negatively about the condition of hers that never improved thus will lower the body's immunity, increases the suffering of the impact a slowdown in the process of adaptation and healing. Psikoreligi therapy is given in the form of guidance on the concept of healthy hospitals from the viewpoint of religion, guidance for dhikr and prayer.Individuals who have spiritual health, life becomes more sincere or resignation towards everything that is given by God, so that will happen the process homeostasis (balance). All protectors are there in the human body working with the obedience of worship, more closer to Allah SWT and clever grateful so created an atmosphere of balance of neurotransmitters in the brain.

Abstract

The influence of an aging process experienced by elderly led to various problems such as physically, mental, and social economic. One of the psychological problems experienced by the elderly is anxiety. The purpose of this study is to find the influence of laugh therapy at the level of anxiety on elderly at the UPTD Griya Werdha Surabaya. This research using pre-experimental design by the approach one group pra-post test design, the amount of the sample 33 elderly aged 60-74 years, uses probability sampling by the simple random sampling technique. The independent variable is laugh therapy and the dependent variable is the extent of anxiety on elderly. Uses a DASS 42 questionnaire 42 (Depression Anxiety Stress Scale), analyzed by Wilcoxon sign test. The research results show before it was given laugh therapy most of 17 respondents (51,5 % ) is having moderate anxiety and after having given laugh therapy obtained almost entirely 30 respondents ( 90,9 % ) is having mild anxiety. The results of the analysis ρ=0,000 where ρ=0,000 means h0 rejected. It means there are the influence of laugh therapy on the level of anxiety on elderly at the UPTD Griya Werdha Surabaya. The conclusions from the study, laugh therapy is able to reduce the anxiety on the elderly. Hopefully the nurse will continue the laugh therapy at UPTD Griya Werdha Surabaya, so that elderly motivated to do this activity regularly and gather.

Abstract

Self-reliance of TB patients has an effect on the adherence to treatment in the healing process. To achieve self-reliance, patients require supports from the family and community, as well as knowledge and skills to be able to take care of themselves independently. Healthcare cadres are one form of supports that the patients need to maintain self-care capabilities. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of health cadres’ supports on the physical self-reliance in pulmonary TB patients. This study was a quantitative research with a pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design with the control group. The samples were 44 patients recruited using purposive sampling technique with inclusion and exclusion criteria and were assigned to two groups: intervention group (n = 22) and control group (n = 22). Instrument used modified healty card owner by Dwidiyanti. The intervention given was in the form of health cadres’ supports given for six times in six weeks. A statistical analysis using paired t-test was performed to identify the effects of the intervention on the physical self-reliance in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. The results showed that the intervention group obtained a p-value of 0.00 and α of 0.05, where p-value < α, or p-value <0.05, indicating that there was an effect of health cadres’ supports on physical self-reliance in patients with pulmonary TB. Meanwhile, in the control group, a p-value of 0.529 and α of 0.05 were found, where p-value >α or p-value > 0.05, indicating that there was no significant difference in the patients’ physical self-reliance after given supports from the health cadres. Support interventions of health cadres improved the physical self-reliance in patients with pulmonary TB.

Abstract

Surgery is a medical action can cause stress on the patient. Stress patient who will undergo surgery must be well managed in order not to harm patients. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of Islamic progressive muscle relaxation (IPMR) against the patient's decrease cortisol levels. This research was experimental research with approach of pre-post test design. The population were all patients treated in Azzahra during September 2017, with research samples of 30 respondents obtained via simple random sampling techniques. Independent variables was Islamic progressive muscle relaxation, whereas cortisol levels was dependent variables. The data of Cortisol levels was collected through the patient's blood sample. Data were analyzed with a Wilcoxon signed rank test. Results of the study indicate that there are significant levels of cortisol after patient's IPMR. Cortisol levels in the normal range can modulate the immune system so as to strengthen the body's immune. Nurses can make the effort an effective, easy and cheap to reduce stress to patients who will undergo surgery with technique IPMR. Keywords: Islamic, Progressive, Muscle, Relaxation, Cortisol, Stress

Abstract

Ners education in Indonesia is integrated between academic learning and clinical learning. The learning environment of conducive clinical practice is highly conquered. The environment in which, the atmosphere that supports students to learn. Things that are not obtained by nursing students in academic learning environment will be obtained at the time of clinical learning practice. To identify students' perceptions of the clinical practice learning environment and supervision of the hospital-based clinical practice learning process in Indonesia and the influencing factors. The design of this study used correlational analytic survey method with cross-sectional approach, with sampling technique of convinience sampling. The study population is Ners educational institution. The sample of research is 3 institution of Ners education organizer in East Java. Instruments using ELBKS + D Indonesian version. Respondents aged between 20 to 28 years, 20-22 years of 89 (54.3%), female sex of 115 (70.1%). Medical Surgical Nursing became the most widely practiced stages of 62 (37.8%). That the practical stages are significantly related to the role of the lecturer on the scale of ELBKS + D with r-value = 0.158 and ρ-value = 0.044. Discussion: Nursing students consider that the success of clinical teaching practice is determined primarily by the content of supervisory relationships and the role of nursing lecturers. The nurse lecturer role sub variable in ELBKS + D has correlation with student's precursor stages.

Abstract

Many girls experience primary dysmenorrhoea is affected by factors, including nutritional status and exercise activity. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of nutritional status and sports activity to primary dysmenorrhoea in adolescent girls. This study used analytic observational design with cross sectional approach. The population is the students of class XI Intensive SMA MIPA Wachid Hasyim 2 Park that has experienced menstruation amounted to 59 people. The sampling technique is simple random sampling with 51 respondents. Instruments using questionnaires. Data were analyzed by Spearman Rank Correlation Test. The results showed that there was correlation between nutritional status and primary dysmenorrhoea occurrence, p = 0.001 (p <α = 0.05), and there was a correlation between exercise activity and primary dysmenorrhea, p = 0.001 (p <α = 0.05). This study show that the importance of education about a balanced diet with adequate nutritional intake to young women and to regular exercise because it affects the incidence of dysmenorrhoea.
