Abstract

The numbering system in the medical record service is the procedure for writing given to the patients when they come for treatment as a part of their identity. This study aimed to describe the implementation of the outpatient medical record numbering system at the Tambarangan Public Health Center in Tapin Regency. This research used a descriptive method. The study results included the family numbering system consisting of five digits medical record number, i.e., the first two digits were based on the village area code while the last three digits were the medical record number. The advantages of the family numbering system were that it was faster in finding medical record files of the family members and the convenience to save medical record storage space and budget. Meanwhile, the shortcomings of the family numbering system were that it took a long time if the patient did not come for treatment for a long time and slowed down and hindered service if the patient did not carry an identity card for treatment and forgot his medical record number. The constraints in implementing the numbering system based on the man element were no medical record officer with the qualification of Diploma Medical Record and Health Information, and the officer never attended training/technical guidance/socialization regarding the medical record numbering system. The constraints based on the machine were the availability of only one computer that was only used for checking social health insurance. The constraints regarding the methods were no standard operating procedures found regarding the medical record numbering system, and the public health center management information system was no longer used because its implementation was constrained by non-existent technical personnel. The constraints regarding the materials were the patient's main index card that was not used, and the time to provide outpatient medical records was less than 10 minutes.

Abstract

A person had hypertension if the systolic blood pressure is 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure is 90 mmHg. Hypertension is strongly influenced by factors such as age, gender, dietary patterns, nutritional status, and stress levels. This study aimed to analyze the relation of dietary patterns, nutritional status, and stress levels to hypertension in the working area of Hambawang Beach Public Health Center. This study used an observational method with a cross-sectional design. The statistical analysis used was the Spearman's rank test. The results of this study indicated that the stress level was associated with the incidence of hypertension (p=0.044). Factors that had no association with the incidence of hypertension were fat consumption (p=0.881), sodium consumption (p=0.816), potassium consumption (p=0.986) and nutritional status (p=0.171). Respondents were expected to have a healthy lifestyle such as frequent exercise and good rest habits, limiting the consumption of fat, sodium and balanced with potassium consumption, mental relaxation to foster positive emotions and maintain nutritional status.

Abstract

Examination of the leukocyte count is a routine examination to assess the condition of the immune system and inflammation levels in the body. There are two types of examinations to count blood cells, one of which is leukocytes, using manual and automatic methods. Manual examination was carried out by thinning the blood using Turk's reagent. Under certain conditions, Turk reagents are often not available. This study aimed to determine the number of leukocytes with modified lime juice (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle) and vinegar as an alternative to the composition of the Turk solution. This experimental study used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of three treatments and five replications. The samples in this study were 5 samples of venous blood from patients in the level three Dr. R. Soeharsono Hospital in Banjarmasin. This study used a simple random sampling. The treatment used in this study was to use Turk rule, lemon juice (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle) with a concentration of 2%, and vinegar with a concentration of 5%. The results of this study showed that there was no difference in the value of the leukocyte count between the Turk solution (control) and the modified treatment of 2% lime juice and 5% vinegar. Based on these results, it can be concluded that 2% lime juice and 5% vinegar can be used as an alternative to Turk's solution.

Abstract

Young coconut ice drink is a type of traditional drink containing good nutrition for the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria. One of the causes of young coconut ice contamination is Escherichia coli. Escherichia coli is a gram-negative bacterium and is a factor causing disease, especially diarrhea. This study aimed to determine the identification of young coconut ice drink with the most probable number (MPN) method. The examination used the MPN method in three stages. The initial test used lactose broth as a fertilizer. If the result was positive, it continued to EC Broth media as a confirmation test. If the result in EC Broth media was positive, it continued to EMB media for the perfection test. The results of the study using nine samples of young coconut ice showed that six samples were positively contaminated by E.coli (67%) and three samples were not contaminated by E.coli (33%). Based on the results of the study, it could be concluded that young coconut ice drinks sold in the North Banjarmasin Subdistrict were mostly contaminated with E.coli bacteria that were declared not to meet the standard requirements for food/beverage sales according to the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM ISBN 978-602-3665-11-26) in 2012.
