With the geographical condition of Indonesia, it becomes a challenge for E-Commerce logistic industry practitioners. To overcome these problems, corporations should take actions such as system improvement and also collaboration to decrease distribution facility establishment cost, transportation facility establishment, cost-saving seen from distribution distances, total manpower, and lastly is improvement and maintenance system in each logistic corporation. To ensure success in collaboration, corporations should show commitment to the customers by giving the best and cheapest services in order to guarantee the success of the collaboration. Other things which can be done to achieve the success are by showing collaboration commitment to other E-Commerce logistic service providers by showing the willingness to share information and data about each other and lastly, the existence of collaborator whose or which responsible for connecting both parties, whether it is third party or information collaborating system.

To achieve this objectives, a research was conducted to 22 items of PPE in Company X. The research was conducted by forecasting PPE demand, calculating optimal quantity and ordering frequency, calculating safety stock and reorder point, and finally calculating the inventory cost reduction. The result shows that the implementation of EOQ has enabled the company to reduce its inventory cost by 19.72%. Therefore, it is advisable for Company X to design and implement EOQ as the inventory control program for PPE.

The results show that (1) of the six indicators of implementation assessment, there are two indicators that have not gone well, namely the attitude of the implementers and communication because there is still a planning agenda that will be carried out until 2024 and socialization is still being carried out (2) of the five appropriate indicators assessment of the effectiveness of the policy, only on target which cannot be seen thoroughly because there is still a process that must be passed in order to achieve the target. (3) The impact that has been felt is the realization of transparency of logistics service transactions, encouraging time and cost transparency and providing certainty of value added for every rupiah of costs incurred.

Arranging an optimal distribution system is a challenging step in every company who runs logistics activities because it is one of the crucial factors to achieve high customers’ satisfaction level. This problem becomes more complex during the high or special seasons such as Christmas, new year, etc. In Indonesia, high season for logistics usually during the Eid season. During that special season, the demand increases while the resource decreases due to long national holiday. Failed to find an optimal distribution system might lead to a huge loss for the company. Therefore, to overcome this problem, logistics company should optimize the distribution system including optimizing the route and vehicles utilization. This paper aims to help a logistics company based in Bali, Indonesia, to find an optimal distribution route during the Eid Season. This company find difficulty to fulfil the customer demands especially during the Eid Season. To find an optimal route for the company, this paper applies Saving Matrix and Nearest Insert methods. Besides, a simple procedure will help the company to reuse the proposed methods for the next application. Data collection and observation in this paper were carried out during one week of Eid season in 2019. The computational results show that the optimal route is able to deliver all items before the due date with total distribution time 7 hours 16 minutes. Compare with the existing route, the proposed route reduces the total cost by 30%.

Abstract

Bekasi post office 17000 is an UPT PT Pos Indonesia located in the Regional 4 working area of West Java. Based on data obtained from irregularity website PT Pos Indonesia in September-November 2019, various problems occurred in indoor process of Bekasi Post Office. The biggest problem is that the difference between the barangs shipped with 56 occurrences. The search process must be carried out to find these missing barangs, so that further investigation is needed which causes the delivery duration exceed the standard delivery time (SWP). This study aims to determine the factors that cause the difference between the manifest and the physical delivery of the consignment and provide suggestions for improvement. The research method used fishbone analysis techniques and 5W + 1H. Based on the results of the research, the difference in consignment barangs is less due to the barang being not scanned, x-ray failure, wrong bagging, and error scanning device. Proposals for improvements to minimize the difference in barangs being shipped are conducting briefings and socializing work SOPs to officers, imposing rewards and punishments for enforcing SOPs, checking empty bags, and coordinating with the facilities section so damaged scanner can be repaired.
