Abstract

Prematurity is associated with morbidity and mortality. There is alot of causative factors that involved. One of the contributing factors is the presence of uterine contractions that occur prematurely. This is due to a decrease in progesterone levels. This decrease can be achieved by changing the levels of the progesterone receptor (PR) isoform in the myometrium. Objective: To determine whether there is a connection between changes in progesterone receptor isoform levels on labor. This systematic study was arranged according to Prefered Reporting Items For Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA). The articles studied were observational studies. Each article was tested for the quality of the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale literature because the articles used were of the case-control type. From the search results using the search strategy in PUBMED, there were 190 articles that were then selected based on title, abstract, and inclusion and exclusion criteria obtained 4 articles that fit the criteria desired by the researcher. From the results of a systematic study, it was found that the number of progesterone receptor ratios in pregnant women who had spontaneous labor compared to pregnant women who gave birth via planned cesarean section. Pregnancy within labor experienced an increase in the PR-A/PR-B ratio by 1.12 times compared to that of cesarean section delivery.

Abstract

Kasih Ibu Hospital from October 2019 to January 2021 has become the referral maternal COVID-19 hospital in Surakarta, Central Java. Until now, research on pregnant women with COVID-19 in Indonesia is still very limited, it is still unknown whether there are possibility of vertical transmission from mother to baby, while pregnant women are among the vulnerable population. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the findings of positive infant outcomes for COVID-19 in pregnant women with confirmed COVID-19 at Kasih Ibu Hospital, Surakarta. Data collection was carried out by tracing medical records which were then presented in the form of distributions based on gestational age, infant birth weight, infant APGAR score, and infant COVID-19 status. Out of 62 pregnant women confirmed positive for COVID-19, 20 babies (32.3%) had PCR swab tests positive for COVID-19. All babies were born in good shape (APGAR score 8-10) and 4 babies were found with low birth weight, one of whom also had hypospadias. There were no reports of neonatal asphyxia and infant mortality.

Abstract

Chronic stress can have an adverse effect on behavior changes and damage to the pyramidal neurons of the brain. Pyramidal neurons of the brain play an important role in awareness, decision making, cognitive function, spatial memory formation and working memory. The effects of chlorogenic acid (CGA) found in arabica coffee can affect the improvement of cognitive function, working memory, and histology of brain pyramidal neurons. The content of chlorogenic acid (CGA) in coffee has active compounds that can maintain the number of brain pyramidal neurons due to stress. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of arabica coffee extract on the average number of brain pyramidal neurons exposed to UCS stress. The research method used was a post-test experimental study with controlled group design. A total of 24 adult zebrafish (3 months old) were divided into 4 groups. Four groups (KN, KP, K25, K50) were acclimatized (1 week) first, for groups K25 and K50 were given arabica coffee extract as much as 25mg / dl and 50 mg / dl for 4 days before inducing unpredictable chronic stress (UCS). The results of the study proved that the extra ethanol group of arabica coffee at a dose of 50 mg / dl could maintain the number of pyramidal neurons in zebrafish treated with modified UCS stress (P <0.05). In conclusion, giving ethanol extract of arabica coffee at a dose of 50 mg / dl has a neuroprotectant effect on zebrafish exposed to UCS stress.

Abstract

Thesis preparation results in students experiencing difficulties that cause psychological conditions that are distressed, causing emotional disorders such as mood disorders. Mood disorders can be bad for students and cause students to postpone their thesis. Efforts are made to overcome mood disorders when compiling thesis is to apply GEFT. GEFT is a merger between Gayatri Mantra and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). GEFT is done by chanting the Gayatri Mantra and giving a light knock on the body's 12 energy pathways called the energy meridians. The purpose of this study is to know the influence of GEFT towards mood disorders nurse students in thesis compilation. This research is quantitative with a quasi experiment research design pre and post with control group design. The sampling technique is purposive sampling with a total sample of 32 respondents divided into 2 groups the treatment group and the control group. Data were collected using The Brunel Mood Scale (BRUMS) questionnaire. Data analysis uses the Wilxocon Signed Rank Test and the Mann Whitney Test. The results showed the value of p value in the treatment group = 0.003 which means that there was an influence of GEFT on mood disorders of nursing students in preparing their thesis, whereas in the control group there was no difference with the value of p value = 0.317. Changes in students mood disorders after being given GEFT due to a combination of spiritual spells with techniques that support the effectiveness of GEFT.

Abstract

Hypertension is a hidden threat because it often occurs without symptoms. The high mortality rate due to hypertension is recorded at 45% according to WHO. Factors that trigger hypertension include age, gender, family history, smoking habits, salt consumption, saturated weak consumption, alcoholic beverages, obesity, lack of physical activity, stress and estrogen disorders. Gender and smoking variables are interesting to study because Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest number of smokers in the world. From WHO data in 2008, Indonesia ranks third after China and India in the ten largest smoking countries. The number of smokers reaches 65 million people. The purpose of this study was to determine the tendency of the relationship between sex and smoking habits on the incidence of hypertension using the meta-analysis method. Article used as datasource from Google Scholar and PUBMED. Of the 299 articles that were screened based on the specified inclusion criteria, 12 articles were used as the database of this study. The results showed that there was a relationship between smoking habits and gender with the incidence of hypertension with the incidence of hypertension was 1.397 with a 95% CI: 1.212-1.611. The combined effect also resulted in a Z value of 4.611 and a p value of 0.000 and the relationship between sex and the incidence of hypertension was 1.384 with a 95% CI: 1.074-1.784. The combined effect also produces a Z-value of 2.510 and a p-value of 0.012.

Mental health is one of the impacts that threaten society during the Covid-19 pandemic. Mental health issues are increasingly being recognized as a significant and worrying secondary effect of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to determine the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health, in this case the tendency for anxiety disorders of pregnant women in South Kalimantan. This research is an observational study. The sample was taken by total sampling from data on pregnant women recorded at the South Kalimantan Provincial Health Office. The COVID-19 pandemic did not have a statistically significant effect on the tendency of anxiety disorders. Of the 3 variables studied, namely age, education and occupation, there was no significant relationship between anxiety disorders in pregnant women during the COVID-19 pandemic
