Abstract

The maritime kingdom of Srivijaya in its heyday not only controlled the world's spice trade routes, but also became the center of education and the spread of Buddhism in highly developed Southeast Asia. Buddhism gradually disappeared in the archipelago with the fall of the Majapahit kingdom, but left traces of relics to this day, such as historical sites, language and culture. Through literature study using interpretive descriptive method in this paper, the author would like to reintroduce the teachings of Buddha, especially from the psychological and ethical point of view, based on the Tipitaka Canon Pali scriptures. The psychological ethics of Buddhism is contained in the Abhidhamma Pitaka which is the third collection of Buddhist scriptures. Man in the Buddhist view is a psychophysical combination of mind (nāma) and matter/body (rūpa). Mind is a combination of consciousness (citta) and mental factors (cetasika), this combination is a variety of states of mind. There are 121 kinds of consciousness, 52 kinds of mental factors and 28 material elements, according to the ethics are classified into good, bad and neutral, but explained from a psychological point of view, most of them are psychological data analysis. Awareness is the originator of one's speech and behavior, good awareness can trigger good speech and behavior, and vice versa. The human personality is conditioned and maintained by the activity of consciousness and its effects, one's character is also determined by consciousness. The psychology of Buddhism has been integrated with modern western psychology, which is called "Conjunctive Psychology". The interdependent process of the psycho-physical functioning of the human personality, is a very important process in the psycho-therapeutic method of Buddhism..

Abstract

Nutmeg and Clove are native plants to Indonesia, growing in the islands of Banda and Maluku (Siswanti, 2022: 80) Both are spice commodities of fantastic value of the 15th century in world trade, one kilogram of nutmeg or cloves equivalent to one kilogram of pure gold, primadonnas that are highly targeted by the nations. Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch and British raced for months to year find the source of spices, monopolize trade and snatch huge profits. Nutmeg and cloves have become the identity of Maluku, ironically this identity actually led Europeans to colonize. Nutmeg and cloves at that time became primadonna because of its powerful power in the procurement of food, cosmetics and health. This historical trace has been inscribed in batik motifs to perpetuate the identity of the Banda and Maluku islands. This research uses qualitative analytical methods to the spice phenomenon of nusantara that occurred in the past and the efforts of the Moluccas in maintaining their identity in the shape of batik. The aim of the study is to instill awareness of the younger generation and put nutmeg and cloves back as commodities of international value. Extracting the benefits of nutmeg and cloves and its promotion in batik motifs will build a careful understanding and develop the spirit of the same collective identity. Batik Nutmeg and Cloves have a strong historical foundation in cementing the identity of the oral and intangible heritage of humanity established by Unesco.

Abstract

Companies will get many benefits if they encourage employees to share their knowledge. Knowledge-sharing activities will improve individual, team, and company performance. The purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating role of affective commitment between empowering leadership and knowledge sharing as well as the moderating role of collaborative culture between empowering leadership and knowledge sharing mediated by affective commitment using data collected from 84 employees in X company by accidental sampling technique.  The scales of measurement adopted were empowering leadership scales (Yun et al., 2006), affective commitment scales (Rhoades & Eisenberger, 2001), collaborative culture scales (Pérez López et al., 2004), and knowledge sharing scales ( Hooff & Ridder, 2004). The results find the full mediating role of affective commitment and show that empowering leadership significantly impacts knowledge sharing (β = 0.20; SE = 0.108; 95%CI [0.513.0.475]). There is no conditional role of collaborative culture on the interaction of leadership empowerment, affective commitment, and knowledge sharing (β=0,058; p>0,05; 95%CI [-0,115.0,189]).  Companies can encourage employees to share their knowledge by empowering leadership, as this leadership style can build knowledge transfer among employees by creating affective commitment.
