Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effect of financial performance variables of Debt to EquityRatio (DER) and Current Ratio (CR) to the Stock Price with Return On Equity (ROE) as theintervening variable. The study is conducted to wholesale and retail companies that are listed inIndonesia Stock Exchange within 2010-2014 periods. The samples are chosen by using Purposive Sampling Method, where 15 companies inWholesale and Retail trading sub-sector are selected. There are two independent variables inthis research, they are Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Current Ratio (CR), one dependentvariable which is Stock Price as well as one intervening variable, Return on Equity (ROE). Analysis methods used in this research are multiple linear regression, simple linear regression and through path analysis. The result shows that both Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Current Ratio (CR) havesimultaneous positive and significant influence towards Return on Equity (ROE). Additionally,Return on Equity (ROE) variable positively and significantly affects the Stock Price. It can alsobe concluded that Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Current Ratio (CR) have an effect towardsStock Price with Return on Equity (ROE) as its intervening variable. It was found that DER hasa coefficient of 0,318 to the Stock Price through ROE, whereas CR has indirect effect of 0,2415towards Stock Price with ROE as intervening variable. Keywords: Debt to Equity Ratio, Current Ratio, Return on Equity, Stock Price

Abstract

This study entitled “The Influence of The Marketing Mix on The Export Sales Volumes of TextileProduct at PT. Primatexco Indonesia”, aimed to analyze the influence of the marketing mix onthe export sales volumes. This study used secondary data taken from PT. Primatexco Indonesia, per month in 2004 through 2014.The analysis method that is used in this research is using normality test, classical assumptiontest (which includes heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity, autocorrelation), multiple linearregression analysis, T-test, F-test, and R2(coefficient of determination).Based on the simultaneous test, the results proved that independent variables that is product, place, promotion, and price simultaneously had a significant influence on the export salesvolumes with the calculated value of F values = 167.475 and sig = 0,000 < 5% this meansindependent variables product, place, promotion, and price simultaneously significant influenceon the dependent variable (export sales volume). In other words, the independent variables areable to explain the amount of the dependent variable.Based on partial analysis, the results proved that the three independent variables that is product, place, and price significantly influenced on the export sales volumes. On product variable tcount value of 13.887 was > t table 2.29 which means that Ho was rejected and Ha wasaccepted. While the promotion variable did not have any influence significantly on the exportsales volumes, because t count value -1.609 was < t table, so Ho was accepted and Ha wasrejected. The results of multiple linear regression test shows that all independents variables that isproduct, place, and price had a positive influence on the export sales. The greatest positiveinfluence on export sales volumes was product variable (X1), it is shown from the regressioncoefficient of 8.976, followed by price variable (X4) with a regression coefficient of 1.451E-5,followed by place variable (X2) with a regression coefficient of 2.383E-6. While the promotionvariable (X3) with coefficient regression of -6.210E-10, it means that promotion variable doesnot have any positive influence on the export sales volumes. Keywords: Product, Place, Promotion, Price, Export Sales Volumes, Textile Products

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to analyze the influence of container crane productivity (X1)and ship call frequency (X2) on the number of containers handled (Y) at Terminal PetikemasSemarang branch PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III. The tool of analysis which was used wasMultiple Regression with Classic Assumption Test. This research used secondary data obtainedfrom TPKS such as monthly report the achievement of performance, monthly report of ship calland monthly report of stevedoring production within period of 6.5 years (January 2009 – June2015).The Result of the Multiple Regression Analysis was Log Y = 4.923991 + 0.525387 log XI+ 0.423276 log X2 + e. This equation showed that all regression coefficients were positive. Itmeans that if container crane productivity and ship call frequency was increased, the number ofthe containers handled would increase too.β1= 0.525, it means that if there is increase in container crane productivity by 10%, it will increase the cargo handling performance by 5.25%. Next, β= 0.423, it explains that if there is an increase in ship call frequency by 10%, it willincrease the cargo handling performance by 4.23%. The result of Coefficient of Determination ofTest shows that container crane productivity and ship call frequency give the proportion orpercentage of the total variation in the number of containers handled for about 94,8%. While, FTestshows that container crane productivity and ship call frequency influenced simultaneouslyon the number of containers handled. Furthermore, container crane productivity influencedpositively on the number of containers handled. Then the other X variable, ship call frequencyinfluenced positively on the number of containers handled.2Key words: Container Crane, Ship Call, Cargo Handling and Port.

Abstract

The study is about the strategies to cut down the imported container’s dwelling time in TPKS.Imported Container's dwelling time is the total time starting from the container is discharged offthe vessel up to the container reach the getting – out terminal. The impact of high dwelling timeis the increasing of YOR (Yard Occupancy Ratio) and the decreasing of BOR (Berth OccupancyRatio). The utilization of the Container Yard will increase, then the utilization of the dock relatedto loading and unloading containers will decrease for the next vessel. If the CY is fully stackedwith containers, certainly, there will be no more space for newly-coming containers, then thecongestion will happen. Importers who have the newly-coming containers will get loss, becausethey have to pay more for demurrage cost. Besides, they have to stop their production processesbecause the goods are still in the Port. The purposes of the study are explain how to complete the clearance processes, to know the internal and external factors of TPKS, to find the strategies with SWOT analysis to decrease theimported container’s dwelling time in TPKS.The method of collecting data used survey, observation, documentation, literature study and thequestionnaire. The analysis technique used SWOT analysis to know the TPKS condition and tofind the appropriate strategies. The results shows that the position TPKS in Quadrant I with coordinate 0.69:0.57, meaning thatthe suitable strategy used is supporting the aggressive growth policy (Growth OrientedStrategy). After compile the SWOT Matrix, then the strategies were found: enhance theperformance in each work, maintenance and rejuvenation equipment, provide new ground forinterchange and parking area, availability counter officer in business for 24 hour, theeffectiveness of each duty, optimization of the existing parking area, optimizing the operation ofexisting CC, optimization the counter during working hours. Keywords: Imported container’s dwelling time, SWOT
