Abstract

Based on the problems in the novel Pukat and Eliana by Tere Liye, it is necessary to do an analysis that discusses the representation of environmental damage in literary works using ecocritical studies. The selection of studies on the representation of environmental damage in literary works as a focus of research has the following reasons: (1) the reflective representation in the novel Pukat and Eliana by Tere Liye is a real-life description of the problems of the characters in the novel with nature and the surrounding environment. The setting used in the story is the forest in Sumatra; (2) the next ecological problem is intentional representation which is a description of the factors that cause damage to the environment in Sumatra; (3) the constructional representation contained in Tere Liye's Pukat and Eliana novel is an impact that occurs as a result of human activity itself. In research with the object of these two novels using qualitative research. This qualitative research as a research step that produces descriptive data in the form of written words of the object being analyzed. The approach in this analysis is an eco-critic approach because this analysis can be used for research on the representation of environmental damage in literary works. Data collection techniques are basically gathering facts related to research problems. Based on research data sources in the form of texts namely novels titled Trawl and novels titled Eliana by Tere Liye the collection of data of this study uses the techniques of listening and documentation study techniques. Ecocriticism studies the ways in which we describe the relationship between humans and their environment. Ecocriticism is also influenced by modern environmental movements. Greg Garrard explored the development of the modern environmental movement and studied several concepts related to eco-criticism, including: (a) pollution, (b) wilderness, (c) apocalypse, (d) housing/dwelling, (e) animals, and (f) earth. The method used in the 4D development research was adapted. During the field trial phase, 30 research subjects were used in the eighth grade students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative and qualitative. Learners conduct hydrostatic pressure experiments, the measured process skills component formulating the problem, formulating hypotheses, identifying variables, interpreting data and drawing conclusions. Science process skills test in the form of essay questions on material pressure substances that are in accordance with predetermined SPS (Science Process Skills) components. The results of the validation of the learning tools obtained a score of 3. 81 very valid categories and feasible to be used as teacher reference in learning, the results of the practicality of the learning tools obtained the highest activity of students conducting experiments reaching a percentage of 35%, while the effectiveness of the learning devices obtained the highest SPS (Science Process Skills) results interpreting the data component of 99%.

Abstract

The development of education in Indonesia must use at least four basic strategies. Namely, The first is equitable distribution of opportunities for education; the second is relevance; the third is quality improvement, and the fourth is efficiency. Generally, this strategy can be divided into two dimensions, namely education improvement and equity. Development of quality improvement is expected to increase the efficiency, effectiveness and productivity of education. "Dimensions of educational equity are expected to provide equal opportunities in obtaining education for all school ages" (Amri, 2013: 68). In realizing distribution of opportunities to obtain education, Surabaya implements a program for acceptance of new students through the path of community partners. The emergence of this policy is also a proof of the government's commitment in carrying out the mandate of the Constitution regarding 20% of the budget for education. This study uses an evaluation research with a qualitative approach. The main data source in this study was obtained by snowball sampling. Data collection techniques in this study used three techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. State High School 13 Surabaya is one of the schools implementing a citizen partner program. The conclusion from this study states that the implementation of the citizen partner program in State High School 13 Surabaya has not yet been reached because of the discovery of elements of nepotism and lack of socialization resulting in one student having not been affected by the community partner program.

Abstract

The post-millennial generation or currently known as the Z generation, is the generation born in the 2000s, the future generation born in the Internet age. This post-millennial generation does not like rigid rules, tends to think creatively and openly and is very easy to comment on. An important point in dealing with the post-millennial generation by providing specific direction for understanding ethics in social life. In the learning process, post millennial generation has visual characteristics, tries and sees the results of the process, wants the teacher as a facilitator, learning starts with "how", and is very easy to get information / knowledge. This is a challenge in determining the right learning strategy for them. With the problem-based learning method it is expected that students / vocational high school (SMK) students will be able to create something different to produce rewards in the form of money as well as personal satisfaction and freedom. Students are required to understand the importance of maintaining health by maintaining and protecting food hygiene, through controlling environmental factors that can or can cause illness and health problems.
