Abstract

The success of student learning cannot be separated from the appropriate media and learning strategies. With the support of appropriate resources and new technologies, adult learners may effectively learn languages on their own, anywhere. Lack of knowledge about new technologies lead students to the lack of vocabulary. The existence of new technology must also be supported by the ability of students to master the technology. In connecting with the abilities that students have, the teacher finds obstacles, especially for students with special needs, mentally disabled students. Audio-visual media in the form of Flash card, drawing book and animated learning videos are used in English subjects at SLB Ulaka Penca. This study was conducted to investigate whether or not Audio-visual could be effective media to enhance students’ vocabulary mastery. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between gender and narrative stories with students' listening skills. The research will be held in the second semester of grade eight students of SMPN 3 TANGSEL. The method of this study is a quantitative method. The results are there are 68% of female students who have an interest and ability in narrative stories through listening skills while only 32% of boys. There is a significant positive and significant relationship between genre and narrative story on the listening skills of 9th graders (1) SMPN 3 Tangerang Selatan City with r count greater than r table (0.773 > 0.148) and a significance value of 0.000 which means less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). Thus, the genre and narrative story variables together have an important role in improving students' ability to write suggestive narratives. So based on the results of the research, gender has a significant correlation with students' listening skills in narrative stories.

Abstract

The presence of independent learning is a major transformation in the world of education in Indonesia. The essence of the independent learning curriculum is to create a student-centered learning process. In implementing independent learning, the national education system gives a signal that curriculum development is handed back to the education unit. Based on this, schools as educational units have the freedom to develop the curriculum in accordance with the competencies they have independently. The purpose of this research is to identify the role of the principal in implementing the independent curriculum at SMPN 195 Jakarta. This study uses a qualitative approach. The research is located at SMPN 195 Jakarta. Data collection techniques using interview techniques, documentation and observation. Data sources in this study are divided into primary and secondary data. The primary data in this study are: (1) school principals, (2) educators/educational staff (3) other parties needed to obtain information. Secondary data obtained through; journals, online newspapers, web, books and various literature. Data analysis with stages: data reduction (reduction), data presentation (display), and verification or conclusion (conclusion drawing). Testing the validity of the data includes testing internal validity (credibility), external validity (transferability), reliability (dependability), and objectivity (confirmability). Observation results show that there are still several problems, namely: (1) limited teacher competence in relation to the independent curriculum, (2) implementation of differentiated learning that is not optimal, (3) implementation of the use of IT that is not yet comprehensive in various activities, especially in learning activities. The role of the Head of SMPN 195 Jakarta, as a leader in the education unit in applying independent learning, namely by planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating.

Abstract

Group and community intervention is applied course of social psychology. Several studies show the use of modified problem-based learning and team-based learning methods is effective to achieve the objectives of applied courses. This study aimed to see the effectivity of applying modified problem-based learning and team-based learning methods on group and community intervention course material in increasing students’ understanding. One-group pre test – post test experimental research design was used to conduct this study. The subjects were students who take group and community intervention courses. Data is taken from quiz score given before and after the intervention. The results of the analysis using one-way ANOVA repeated measure with sphericity assumed shows the average student understanding statistically increased between the time of measurement F (2,32) = 127,067, p .000<.005. Thus, it is proven that students' understanding of student subject matter significantly increased.

Abstract

This study aims to describe leading by example and conventional learning and to determine the effect on prospective teacher learning outcomes in their teaching abilities. The study was conducted using two samples, namely experimental subjects who were taught using leading by example and control subjects who were taught conventionally. The subjects of this study were prospective teachers in the education study program, as much 15 experimental subjects and 12 control subjects. The research instruments used were lesson plans assessment sheets, media assessment sheets, and teaching skills assessment sheets and learning outcomes (posttest). The research data were analyzed using the independent sample T test. The results showed that prospective teachers who were taught leading by example had an average learning value higher than prospective teachers who were taught conventionally with the results of hypothesis testing obtained t count > t table and a significance value <0.05. This means that there is a difference in the average learning outcomes of experimental subjects and control subjects. Thus the use of leading by example is considered good for application in learning because lecturers as leaders in learning must be able to be a mirror in teaching teaching practice, planning lessons, monitoring learning to carry out learning evaluations for prospective teachers..

Abstract

The research aims to improve the free poetry writing skills of class III students of MIS Darul Ihya using the Experiential Learning model. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which consists of two cycles. PTK was conducted to find out how much the experiential learning method can improve class V students' free poetry writing skills. This research was conducted in class III MIS Darul Ihya, Ciomas District, Bogor Regency. The subjects of this study were 29 students of class III MIS Darul Ihya from November 2021 - January 2022. Each intervention cycle included planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The planning stage involves preparing teaching materials, research instruments, and observer guides. At the implementation stage, the Experiential Learning model is applied in a structured learning process following the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), which consists of initial, core, and final activities. The results showed a significant increase in students' poetry writing skills, with an average score increasing in the classical mastery of poetry writing skills before the action. I grew to 70.05 with an excellent category (70% -79%). In cycle II, it increased to 81.05 with a perfect type (80% -89%). These findings indicate that the Experiential Learning model is a practical approach to improving students' poetry writing skills and can be recommended for classroom settings. However, further research is needed to investigate the long-term effects of this approach and its suitability for different groups of students

Abstract

This article discusses the selection of interactive E-LKPD based Problem Based Learning in the learning process as a form of learning that becomes students in the 21st century. This research was carried out in line with student development and curriculum renewal in Indonesia. The application of Interactive E-LKPD based Problem Based Learning to students in this study aims to improve students' communication competence, especially in Pancasila Education subjects. The methodology used is classroom action research. Data acquisition was obtained by observation techniques and teacher's diary notes. This study uses inductive data analysis techniques. The results obtained for three cycles in this study were based on Problem Based Learning based on Interactive E-LKPD which was effective for increasing students' communication competence. The findings faced by researchers in the implementation of interactive E-LKPD-based Problem Based Learning are that researchers must divide study groups evenly according to the number of students, gender and ability level of students, and monitor each group on a regular basis to determine the stage of development of students.

Abstract

The value of teacher professional competence is the basis for student learning success. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of teacher professional competence and student learning styles on student achievement in grade 4 elementary school. This study uses a quantitative ex post facto approach. The research population used was in the Tembarak sub-district, Temanggung district, with a total of 130 people in 7 elementary schools. The technique used in this study was random sampling so that 98 people were obtained. The results of data analysis were seen through a regression test using SPSS. The results of the study show that the professional competence of teachers has a significant effect on student achievement. Learning styles of students affect the learning achievement of students. And the professional competence of teachers and students' learning styles jointly affect the learning achievements of participants. The implication of this research is that the value of teacher professionalism is not necessarily able to improve student achievement without seeing and analyzing student learning styles in the classroom. So, it is very important for the teacher to know the learning style of each student in the class

Abstract

The learning process often involves students who still have difficulty understanding the material which has an impact on learning outcomes. Students find it difficult to learn when the content they are learning has complex concepts. Ecosystem is one of the natural science subjects in elementary schools where students still have difficulty meeting learning objectives. Student learning outcomes in ecosystem material showed that 52% of the students scored in the moderate category and 14% of the students scored in the very low category. The problem in this study is how the cognitive difficulties of class V students at SDN 6 Palu in understanding material related to ecosystems. The purpose of this study was to analyze students' cognitive difficulties in understanding the ecosystem concept. The research samples were 29 students and 1 science teacher. Data collection methods used include questionnaires, interviews, and learning outcomes documents. In addition, data analysis was carried out through 4 stages, namely data collection, data compaction, data compilation and drawing conclusions. The findings of this study indicate that some students have difficulty understanding concepts related to ecosystems due to attention disturbances such as difficulty concentrating, difficulty remembering material and difficulty maintaining movement control or hyperactivity while studying.

Abstract

Meningkatnya tawuran antar siswa dan meningkatnya bullying merupakan indikasi lemahnya karakter siswa, terjatuh Etika dalam bersikap dan menghormati orang tua dan guru, budaya mencontek dalam ujian dan etika negatif terhadap bahasa yang santun dan santun. Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut terjadi beberapa degrasi moral yang mengindikasikan kalangan remaja, video peserta didik yang melakukan tindakan yang tidak semena-mena kepada pendidik, pelecehan seksual, dan sebagainya. Maka dari itu, lingkungan pendidikan harus mampu untuk merespons kasus tersebut, untuk meyiapkan generasi pembaharu di masa depan. Dengan adanya pendidikan karakter religius yang ditanamkan di sekolah menengah maka anak didik dapat menopang lebih awal problematika di masa depan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk Mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian pendidikan berwawasan karakter pada pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar.agama siswa di UPT SMPN 8 dan 33 Gresik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan berbagai penjelasan dari studi pustaka, dan informasi dari repondens. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diatas, maka penanaman pendidikan karakter bagi remaja dapat didesain dan dipraktikkan dalam proses pembelajaran dengan mengintegrasikan proses belajar tersebut dengan nilai karakter religius. Diharapkan anak didik tersebut tidak hanya mampu memahami teori-teori saja, tapi juga mampu menerapkan nilai-nilai tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
