Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze the implementation of social attitudes consist of honesty, discipline, responsibility, and tolerance in the elementary schools of Karanganyar Regency, Indonesia. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative with a case study design. Eight informants were recruited consist of teachers as well as students. The techniques that were used in this study were observation and interview. The data analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The assessment techniques to check data validity were technical triangulation and source triangulation. The results of this study showed that (1) Most teachers did not observe yet their students inside and outside class activity every day. (2) Some teachers take notes every day, some others incidentally. The indicators got from a combination of official guideline and their own. (3) All teachers at least asses two dimensions (discipline and honesty), the others wholly ignored. All teachers at least use two techniques. (4) The teachers follow up on the assessment by informs students periodically (quarterly) and give them praise or advice. The implications of this study are: First, the elementary schools' headmasters in Indonesia should enrich the teachers' knowledge and insight related to social attitude assessment. Second, the government, supported by researchers, has to design an excellent assessment system to solve time limitations

Abstract

This study describes the supervision of the principal to improve teacher performance in implementing differentiated learning. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with pedagogical, sociological, and managerial approaches. This research was conducted at SDN 014 Kempas Jaya. Data sources are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The research instruments are interview guides, observation sheets and documentation. Data were analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Testing the validity of the data is done through technical triangulation and source triangulation. The results showed that the coaching - based supervision model could improve teacher performance in implementing differentiated learning. The stages of the supervision stage are the planning stage, including socialization, explaining the supervision indicators and preparing the schedule, the implementation stage covering the intention, pre-supervision, supervision and post-supervision activities. Obstacles to the implementation of supervision are the broad managerial scope of the principal; teachers are not ready to be supervised, frequent changes of principals, limited infrastructure, and lack of teacher discipline.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors of student interest in biology in SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research was conducted in March - November 2022. This research is a quantitative descriptive study. The method used in this study is a survey method. The instruments used in data collection were observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The number of samples in this study were 100 students. The questionnaire distributed consisted of 31 statements. Based on the results of the study, the factors that influence students' interest in learning are being interested in teachers and being tenacious in learning. Factors interested in teachers are in the good category with a percentage of 79.5%. And the second factor is tenacity in learning is in the good category with a percentage of 79.5%. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that students' learning interest in the material of the human circulatory system in biology subjects at SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru in the 2022/2023 academic year is in the good category with a percentage of 76.22%.

Abstract

The principal's strategy greatly influences teacher professionalism, which is carried out by guiding, fostering and providing opportunities for a teacher to be able to develop his profession. The purpose of this research is to find out the principal's strategy in improving teacher abilities, to find out the principal's strategy in using teacher teaching methods, management of teaching materials, the principal's strategy in evaluating teacher success and to find out the state of the principal in order to improve the qualifications of the teaching profession at MA Al- Ishlahiyah Binjai. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques used by interviews, observation and documentation. The subjects in this study were school principals and teachers at MA Al-Ishlahiyah Binjai. The results of this study indicate that the principal's strategy for increasing teacher professionalism is: 1. The use of methods in learning is carried out by involving a teacher with training activities, scientific activities, such as writing scientific papers in the form of class actions, seminars, motivating teachers to continue their education and conducting supervision, 2. The principal's strategy for evaluating with class supervision is sometimes done suddenly. The results of this evaluation are collected into notes by the school principal and will be conveyed at meeting activities and the Subject Teacher Consultation forum as a follow-up to the evaluation that has been carried out. carrying out a main task, as well as the lack of motivation for a teacher to be able to develop his profession as a teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to produce scrapbook learning media development products on ethnic and religious diversity in my country that meet valid, practical, and effective criteria. This research uses a type of development research (research and development). The development model in this study refers to the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The subject of this research was class IV of SD Negeri 32 Palembang. The data were obtained from validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires and proficiency tests. The results of the study were based on a validation questionnaire from a team of experts who assessed in terms of media display, presentation of material and language use which overall obtained a percentage score of 81.9% with a very valid category. The overall student practicality questionnaire obtained a percentage score of 94.66% and the overall teacher practicality questionnaire obtained a percentage score of 93.25% with a very practical category. The results of the overall effectiveness of students obtained a score of 82.04% obtained from the test of understanding the material of ethnic and religious diversity in my country with a very effective category. Based on the results developed by researchers entitled Scrapbook learning media development of material on the Diversity of Ethnicities and Religions in My Country for grade IV elementary school students, it is concluded that the scrapbook that has been developed has met the criteria of valid, practical and effective.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to develop a Web-based online learning class platform for Accounting education students so that they can learn anywhere and anytime. The development design in this study uses the ADDIE model, which consists of 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This product was tested on 20 Accounting education students class of 2019 in the introduction of the Pengantar Akuntansi 2 course. The results of data analysis show that students have the advantage of being able to immediately learn and know the extent of their understanding by taking a test after studying the material that has been shared. Through this platform students can learn material and evaluate the material they read anywhere and anytime. The convenience provided on this platform can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of learning in Accounting education

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the function of onduo song in the Malay community at Pasir Pengaraian, Rokan Hulu, Riau Province. The research method used is a qualitative method, with field work steps. While the data collection technique is by conducting in-depth interviews, field observations and document analysis. From the research results, it was found that there are two functions of onduo song in society, namely manifest and latent functions. The manifest function is a function that is done on purpose. This is found when singing is functioned in the context of cultural events, such as the konduo ceremony. The next manifest function is also found in the form of artist creativity, both dance and music, which makes the onduo song the main material of the work. The latent function is found in the meaning that accompanies each stanza of onduo song which is sung, in which the entire lyrics of singing onduo, although with different themes, contain similar messages, namely messages for good. Of course, this message is intended for the child who is being rocked, but it is also for the audience to consume.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the teacher's questioning skills which consist of 2 parts, namely basic questioning skills and advanced questioning skills. The variable used in this study is a single variable, namely questioning skills. This research is a qualitative descriptive research that is presenting data for each variable studied and performing calculations to answer the problem formulation. The research method used to collect data is observation, interviews and documents. Observations and interviews were used to collect data regarding the teacher's questioning skills while documents were used to collect data regarding the general description of the research location. The data collection process was carried out by connecting the study material with field research, where the author was assisted by 1 colleague, namely an economics teacher. The results of the study showed that the class VII_(1) economics teacher at Kartika Ambon Middle School had carried out questioning skills well. This can be seen from the 2 indicators and 8 sub-indicators that must be mastered by a teacher where the first indicator, namely basic questioning skills, is in good qualifications and the second indicator, namely advanced questioning skills, is in fairly good qualifications. Thus, the skills of asking teachers at these educational institutions are quite good.

Abstract

This study aims to describe product development steps, quality results for the development of chatbot teaching materials, and student responses from the use of chatbot teaching materials on human circulatory system material. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4D model (define, design, development, dessimate). Product testing was carried out with 28 students of class V SD. The validation test was carried out by two material experts, two software experts, and two language experts. The result was that a value of 1 was obtained in the "very high" category for each validation. Therefore it was concluded that it was valid in developing chatbot teaching materials with material on the human circulatory system for class V SD. Chatbot teaching materials can be used in the process of learning activities. In the method of distributing chatbot teaching materials to fifth grade students, good response results were obtained, so that teaching materials in the form of chatbots on circulatory system material can be declared valid and efficient.

Abstract

Twenty-first-century skills are essential for students. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the use of mind-mapping learning models in improving students' creative thinking, besides that it also aims to find out the differences in the average creative thinking ability of students who use the mind-mapping learning model. The research data that has been collected is processed using SPSS software version 24. The research hypothesis was tested using the Wilcoxon test and the Mann-Whitney U test. Based on the study's results, the application of the mind-mapping learning model impacts students' creative thinking ability. and the use of traditional learning models has no effect on students' abilities. Creative thinking of students. The average creative thinking ability of students who use the mind-mapping learning model is higher than that of traditional learning models.
