JURNAL OPTIMALISASI (JOPT) merupakan jurnal elektronik online yang diterbitkan oleh Program studi Teknik Industri, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Teuku Umar. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the optimum concentration of the use of chitosan in dried anchovies to produce maximum preserved dried anchovies. The anchovies used were 300 grams of wet anchovies in each treatment sampel. The sampel is divided into thee parts, namely sampel 1 with the addition of chitosan each of 1%, 2% and 3%. The results showed that the water content were 33,6%, 33,4% and 32,8% respectively.  While the microbiological test showed that the use of chitosan 3% in dried anchovies has a TPC (Total Plate Count) value has an average value lower than dried anchovies with the use of chitosan as much as 1% and 2%. The preferred organoleptic test is dried anchovies which uses chitosan as much as 3% in the parameter of color, visual, aroma and taste. The Results of the study concluded that the most optimal use of chitosan as preservative in the production of dried anchovies was 3%.

Abstract

Abstract

High market demand causes problems in production activities without being realized by the company. One of the problems often faced by companies in the occurrence of shortages and excess inventory of raw materials which results in the company being less productive in its production process. Good and correct management of raw materials will help smooth the production process so that consumer orders can be fulfilled with a relatively faster time. Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) is a method used to optimize the purchase of raw materials that can reduce inventory costs so that inventory efficiency in the company can run well. PT. Green Enterprises Indonesia is a coconut oil company that manufactures Virgin Coconut Oil (VOC) products. In 2018, buying 1,870 tons of raw materials with a frequency of ordering 216 times with a total cost of purchasing raw materials Rp. 3,224,558,475. Based on calculations using the EOQ method obtained for raw material needs of 1435 tons, the order frequency is 208 times with a total cost of Rp. 3,183,956,876. From the calculations it can be concluded that there are savings of raw materials as much as 435 tons, ordering frequency 8 times with savings of Rp. 40,601,599. The safety stock is 5.89 tons of coconut and the Re-Order Point is 25.36 tons of coconut.

Abstract

This study discusses determining each CPO oil processing machine in the production process using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness method, determining the percentage of each factor contained in the six major losses and determining the dominant factors needed in the CPO oil processing machine. Based on the results of the study showed that the OEE value of each of the CPO oil processing machines OEE value on the strelelizer was 71.41%, for the Thesher / Thickening machine at 75.64%, for the Screw Press machine at 68.21 and OEE value on the clarification machine is 78.16% while the six major loss factor has the greatest proportion of time loss and needs to be repaired is reducing the speed of loss that is equal to 84.62%, this condition shows the ability of the press and clarification machine in achieving the target production and in achieving the ideal conditions that is yaitu85%. Percentage of the magnitude of the factors contained in the six major losses, namely the strelelizer machine due to the Process of Disability Losses and Yield Reduction with the same percentage level that is equal to 49.03%, on the Threser machine caused by Reduction of Speed Loss with a percentage level of 72.70%, on Press machines Generated by Reduced Speed Loss with a percentage level of 34.50% and Clarification machines caused by Reduced Speed Loss with a percentage level of 84.62%, from the four CPO processing machines a factor of six large losses that is, on a disadvantage machine, this is difficult to avoid because of this deficiency also because of the poor quality of CPO oil due to free fatty acid levels and high water content. The dominant factor influencing the effectiveness of the use of CPO oil processing machines that occurred during the period August 2018-July 2019 with the OEE method on the Screw Press machine that is equal to 73.85% as expected based on world class OEE standards (85%) using with other machines this is caused by the speed and pressure when processing FFB is reduced / unstable, the press machine that is used often to repair the damage produced does not meet the expected quality and quantity specifications.

Abstract

This research is propose the replacement schedule of a critical part of a critical machine in a the clove line of PT. Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk. From the direct observation, the screw conditioning process is the critical process of the the tobacco production in clove line. One of the screw conditioner, Garbuio Dickinson screw conditioner, was observed as the machine with the most downtime in clove line. Further analysis using chart reveals that the motor screw conditioner is the main problem to the machine breakdown. Index of fit calculations were applied to find the time to failure and time to repair distribution by looking at the highest index of fit of each failure distribution. Maximum Likelihood Estimator step was undergone to find the MTTF and MTTR (in hours) for the chosen distribution. Finally, the best time interval to replace the critical part in order to increase the component reliability and machine availability was calculated. Result of this preventive replacement is increases the component reliability by 80% and the machine availability by 0.245%.

Abstract

Abstract

The oil palm plantation business is one of the businesses that are considered prospective at present. Investment to develop oil palm plantations requires large funds with a long payback period. The financial strength of investors is needed given that in the early days of plantation operations, plantation productivity was still relatively low. PT. Agro Sinergi Nusantara (ASN) is one of the national private companies engaged in the oil palm plantation sector, and plans to develop oil palm plantations covering an area of 14.000 hectares. This study aims to determine the feasibility of the business based on the financial aspects of the investment plan of PT. Agro Sinergi Nusantara (ASN) in opening an oil palm plantation in South Aceh Regency. This study uses financial feasibility analysis methods, namely net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR) and payback period (PP). The final result in this study is that this investment is feasible based on net present value > 0, internal rate of return = 21,4% and payback period = 3 years.
