Potret Pemikiran mulai menerbitkan artikel-artikel versi cetak pada tahun 2000. Potert Pemikiran adalah jurnal pertama di Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri (STAIN) Manado yang sekarang bertranformasi menjadi Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Manado. Saat itu, Potret Pemikiran melingkupi cangkupan ilmu secara umum, yaitu ilmu politik, hukum, ekonomi, pendidikan, serta agama hingga tahun 2018. Sejak tahun 2019, Jurnal Potret Pemikiran fokus dan jangkauannya terkait Pemikiran Islam di bidang: Filsafat, Tasawuf, Politik Islam dan sosial Keagamaan, serta terjadi perubahan gaya selingkung yaitu menjadi APA 6th Edition (American Psychological Association).

Abstract

This study discusses how the form of acculturation on the use of Javanese calendar media with Islamic culture. The purpose of this study is to describe descriptively how the forms of acculturation that can be done in the Javanese calendar. This research uses the type of literature review research. Where the data collection technique is by browsing documents or journals and other internet media related to cultural acculturation. The results of the research carried out were to obtain information about acculturation to the Javanese calendar after reviewing from various sources, that by incorporating elements of the Islamic religion and Islamic principles in the benefits of the Javanese calendar, it can provide a sense of intolerance to all existing differences.

Abstract

The road closures were carried out by residents of Kei Abepura Village, Yobe Village, and Abepura District when there was grief, as well as during worship for mourning activities of residents living around Grilyawan Street of Abepura Kei Village, so that the road for vehicles from the direction of Keerom, Abe Pantai and Koya was diverted turn to the direction to the Mental Hospital or through the small alleys in the upper complex of the Kei Abepura village to get to the Abepura circle area, for the opposite direction, namely from the Abepura circle, they have to pass Youtefa to get out to Tanah Hitam, Abe Pantai, Koya, and Keroom. This research purposes to find out the road closure model, the general public’s response, and the occurrence of the road closures carried out by the residents of Kei Village when there is grief in the residents of Kei Village, Abepura District, Jayapura City. This study uses a qualitative research method with the paradigm of social phenomenology. The results show that road closures for mourning activities are an alternative that is taken due to the absence of residents' yards which leads to various perceptions from the general public about the closure of provincial roads for personal activities. It takes clear rules issued by the local government regarding the use of public facilities for personal or group interests. It also requires public awareness about prioritizing the public interest over personal or group interests.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the concept of freedom of learning from the point of view of the progressivism philosophy of education. The method used is literature study with a hermeneutic approach to explaining the reality that occurs with elements of interpretation and description. The concept of freedom of learning education is under the modern progressivism educational philosophy and wants a fundamental change in the implementation of education to be better, better quality, and provide real benefits to students. Progressivism has emphasized the importance of the fundamentals of independence and freedom to students, by giving them the freedom to develop the competencies, interests, and talents they already have, without the obstacles of formal regulations which sometimes shackle their creativity and thinking power to be better. The concept of freedom of learning education in Indonesia which has become a new policy is considered to be able to change the existing education system. The harmony of independent learning with the philosophy of progressivism provides a new perspective on the orientation of education in Indonesia, in practice, it presents a natural learning space and allows children to grow and develop according to their interests and talents so that the goal of forming individuals with character can be realized.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the phenomenon in a multicultural society that coexists with different organizations. This is descriptive qualitative research that collects data in the field. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data display, and concluding. The results indicate that the unification of the Hijri calendar has been carried out since 2014, in the last 7 years, Jama’ah of NU and Muhammadiyah have welcomed the first day of fasting together at the same time. However, in 1443 Hijri, the reception of the first day of fasting for Jama’ah of NU and Muhammadiyah was different. Because NU uses Ru'yatul Hilal while Muhammadiyah uses Hisab in determining the first day of fasting, these differences cause various discourses of response in the implementation of the first day of fasting. Intra-religious dialogue upholds religious tolerance. The general conclusion is that intra-religious dialogue is a forum for knitting peace between Jama’ah of NU and Muhammadiyah in creating social relations and religious interactions. It became a positive response from Jamaah of NU and Muhammadiyah. Even Jamaah of NU and Muhammadiyah together welcomed the first day of fasting in knitting religious tolerance.

Abstract

Rendahnya pengetahuan perempuan tentang politik serta masih kurangnya dukungan partai politik menyebabkan perempuan lemah di bidang perpolitikan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut pemerintah kemudian menerapkan peraturan UU Pemilu dan Partai Politik yang mengatur mengenai 30% keterwakilan perempuan agar perempuan dapat ikut terlibat aktif dalam menghasilkan kebijakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengimplementasian kuota 30% anggota legislative di DPRD Kota Manado periode 2014-2019 terhadap masyarakat perempuan. Fokus penelitian ini adalah bagaimana kuota 30% yang diwakili oleh anggota legislatif perempuan mengambil peran dan tanggung jawab dalam menghasilkan perda-perda yang berpihak kepada perempuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan melakukan pengumpulan data melalui teknik in-depth interview. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 32.5% anggota legislatif perempuan terpilih pada periode 2014-2019 namun peningkatan persentasi jumlah keterwakilan perempuan di DPRD Kota Manado tersebut dianggap masih belum mampu mewakili kepentingan masyarakat perempuan. Ketidakmampuan ini terlihat pada kurangnya peran anggota legislatif perempuan dalam menjalankan fungsi legislasi seperti: pembuatan perda inisiatif yang masih saja ditentukan berdasarkan skala prioritas. Hal ini memperlihatkan bahwa keterwakilan 30% yang telah diupayakan oleh pemerintah terlihat masih belum maksimal dari segi kualitas. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa dibutuhkan peningkatan kemampuan anggota legislative perempuan dari segi integritas, kapasitas serta kapabilitas sehingga bentuk partisipasi aktif tersebut dapat menghasilkan kebijakan di tingkat lokal yang mewakili kepentingan masyarakat perempuan.

Abstract

Muktamar NU ke-34 yang di selenggarakan pada bulan Desember tahun 2021 lalu menjadi perhatian orang banyak, tidak sekedar dari kalangan NU semata, melainkan warga Negara Indonesia. Proses muktamar selama berlangsung terdapat dinamika yang terjadi di antara kubu pengusung Gus Yahya dan Kiai Said cukup panas. Satu sama lain saling melempar statement mengunggulkan pilihannya dan mengkritik lawannya. Untuk itu, penulis tertarik untuk melakukan kajian pada pemberitaan yang dimuat oleh Harian Jawa Pos mengenai Muktamar NU ke 34. Bagaimana berita tersebut disajikan menjadi sebuah teks media. Wacana yang dikembangkan oleh media Jawa Pos dalam memberitakan muktamar NU ke-34. Artikel ini bertujuan mengungkap wacana yang dikembangkan media Jawa Post dalam pemberitaan muktamar NU ke 34 di Lampung di dalam praktik berdemokrasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif diskriptif analitik. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah analisis wacana, dengan menghimpun berita yang terkait dengan Muktamar NU ke-34 kemudian melakukan seleksi sesuai dengan tema yang penulis anggap relevan dengan artikel ini. Dalam kajian ini menemukan bahwa dalam pemberitaan yang dilakukan oleh Jawa Pos terdapat relasi yang kuat. Porsi pemberitaan muktamar NU ke-34 Jawa Pos memiliki kecenderungan mendukung setiap ide, kebijakan, dan langkah yang diambil oleh pemerintah sehingga tema-tema pemberitaannya juga cenderung nasionalis. Bahwa Jawa Pos yang dalam hal ini diwakili oleh wartawan telah mengidentifikasi dirinya sebagai bagian dari NU. Dalam melakukan pemberitaan mengenai Muktamar NU, wartawan cenderung memunculkan tema-tema baik dan dengan menggunakan kata-kata berkonotasi positif. Proses mukta ar dalam pemilihan ketua umum dalam berdemokrasi menjadi panutan generasi selanjutnya.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the nation's ability to respond the globalization based on the Islamic perspective. It uses a descriptive analysis approach, while the type of exploration is library research. Data is obtained through the study of manuscripts. The results indicate that the consequence of globalization is that the Indonesian people in responding to the negative and positive impacts of globalization, should tend to be relatively similar to the reflection and moderate Islamic manhaj. Indonesian people should be pleased with their character, not avoid new things and not admit it to the extreme. In an effort to face the era of globalization, the Indonesian state must have the choice to produce human resources with high confidence and dedication. To create quality human resources, each individual prioritizes the formation and capacity that includes work behavior, discipline, obligation, and dependence based on the study of the Qur'an and Hadith.
