Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the constructivist approach based on the 5E learning cycle on the learning outcomes of class XI students on buffer solutions. This research was conducted in classes XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2 of Kotamobagu Christian High School. The method used is an experimental method with a post – test only control design. The research sample consisted of 23 randomly selected students. The experimental class uses the 5E learning cycle model, the control class uses conventional learning. Student learning outcomes data obtained from post-test scores. The analysis of research data shows that there are differences in student learning outcomes, which are taught using the 5E learning cycle model and those using conventional learning. The data analysis used the t-test with a significance level of α = 0.05. Statistical analysis of student learning outcomes obtained tcount> ttable or 4.90> 1.68. So it can be concluded that there are differences between student learning outcomes using the constructivism approach based on the 5E learning cycle and student learning outcomes using conventional learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan metode pembelajaran CBI lebih tinggi dari pemahaman siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Tompaso, sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas X MIA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X MIA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Dapat dilihat dari hasil uji F (One Way ANOVA) menunjukkan bahwa Fhitung > Ftabel yaitu 11.07599 > 4.04 dan nilai probabilitas P value < 0,05 yaitu 0.001685 < 0,05 dan hasil uji t diperoleh hasil = 3,32812 = 1,677. Jadi, Thitung > Ttabel , maka tolak Ho dan terima H1 sehingga . Berdasarkan analisis data hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Case Based Instruction lebih tinggi dari pada pemahaman siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian model pembelajaran langsung pada siswa SMA Negeri 2 Tondano di semester genap tahun ajaran 2018/2019 bulan Januari-Februari 2019. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan model pembelajaran langsung dengan sikap siswa dan peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 2 Tondano. Pengujian validitas instrumen soal diperoleh 10 soal yang valid dan 2 soal tidak valid, sedangkan pengujian reliabilitas instrumen soal diperoleh koefisien reliabilitas 0,785. Pengujian distribusi sikap positif siswa sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan diperoleh hasil bahwa sikap positif siswa tentang pembelajaran kimia meningkat. Berdasarkan hasil presentase selisih diatas menunjukkan bahwa sikap siswa dan prestasi belajar siswa mengalami kenaikan atau peningkatan.Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan Lhitung<Ltabel untuk kelas eksperimen (0,10< 0,17) sehingga data berdistribusi normal. Maka dapat dilakukan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment diperoleh nilai rxy = 0,602, selanjutnya uji signifikan nilai korelasi r kedalam nilai t dengan kriteria pengujian thitung > ttabel. Dari hasil perhitungan bahwa thitung (3.62) ttabel (2,06). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara model pembelajaran langsung dengan sikap siswa dan prestasi belajar siswa pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit.

Abstract

Chemistry is a science that studies materials that are generally abstract in nature so many students find it difficult to understand the concept of chemistry which causes a lack of interaction between real life and chemical knowledge. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the REACT strategy in improving student learning outcomes in buffering material at SMA Negeri 2 Langowan. The research method used is Quasi Experiment Design with research design is Posttest-only Control Group Design. The population is all students of class XI Science in SMA Negeri 2 Langowan even semester 2017/2018. The sample of this study were all students of class XI IPA 1, amounting to 25 people as the experimental class and all students of class XI IPA 2, amounting to 21 people as the control class. Data collected is processed from the results of Posttest. Data were analyzed using the Independent t-test formula to test the research hypotheses and obtained tcount> ttable (7.99> 2.02), so it can be concluded that the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning method with REACT strategy proved to be effective against improving student learning outcomes in buffer material in class XI IPA of SMA Negeri 2 Langowan.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of mind mapping learning methods on the basic laws of chemistry toward learning outcomes of students of class X MIPA in SMA Negeri 2 Langowan. The sample used in this study were all students of class X MIPA of SMA Negeri 2 Langowan. This research uses an experimental method, with the research method used is Quasi Experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Design design. The research data were obtained from post-test results. Obtained the average value of student learning outcomes Experiment class is 85. The results showed the value of tcount = 15.7> ttable = 2.21, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. Based on the results of the research it can be concluded that there is an influence on student learning outcomes on the basic laws of chemistry using mind mapping learning methods.

Abstract

Misconceptions can be in the form of initial concepts, mistakes, incorrect relationships between concepts, intuitive ideas or naive views. From the explanation that has been described misconception is interpreted as an initial concept owned by students that is not in accordance with the generally accepted explanation as a result of the experience constructed by students. Misconception can also be called an alternative concept. This study aims to determine the misconceptions of Class X students of Natural Sciences 2 of SMA Negeri 1 Remboken on atomic structure material. Data collection uses questions in the form of a two-tier diagnostic test, which was tested on 20 students. From the results of the study concluded that students who understood the concept of 82.75%, and students who experienced misconceptions as much as 11.25% while students who did not understand the concept of 6% in the Atomic Structure material.
