Abstract

The purpose of this study, to determine whether there are differences in student learning outcomes in using the Problem Based Learning method with the lecture method. During approximately 1 month different methods were applied in 2 classes, namely the Problem Based Learning class and the Lecture class with a total of 25 students each, then to see the learning outcomes a post-test was conducted. The results showed the value of t arithmetic = 2.92> t table 2.010, so that the conclusion Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, it means there are differences in student learning outcomes using the Problem Based Learning method with those using the lecture method on redox material.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Team Games Tournament pada materi ikatan kimia kelas X Di SMA Negeri 1 Kotamobagu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dan di peroleh sampel yaitu kelas X IPA A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X IPA B sebagai kelas kontrol. Proses pengumpulan data dengan memberikan tes kepada siswa di akhir pembelajaran.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol.berdasarkan data yang di analisis menggunakan uji-t untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian dan diperoleh thitung 8,95 > ttabel 2.059, sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penggunaan metode pembelajaran kooperatif Tipe Team Games Tournament terhadap hasil belajar pada materi ikatan kimia

Abstract

Problem Based Learning model is a problem-based learning model that exposes students to practical problems to be solved that focus on the final results. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the Problem Based Learning learning model on atomic structure material is better than conventional learning models. The population in this study were all class X students of Santa Rosa de Lima Tondano Catholic High School. The sample of this study was class XA and class XB Catholic School Santa Rosa de Lima Tondano with the number of students 30 people, for the experimental class 15 people and the control class 15 people, in the even semester the academic year 2018/2019.Hypothesis testing uses the t-test to see differences in student learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class. Based on the results of the study obtained the value of t_count (4.21)> t_table (1.701) at the real level α = 0.05. So that H_0 is rejected and H_1 is accepted. where the average value obtained in the experimental class 82.66 and the average value for the control class 71.33. So the conclusion is that there is a positive effect of the implementation of the Problem Based Learning learning model on atomic structure material on student learning outcomes at Santa Rosa de Lima Tondano Catholic High School.

Abstract

The many theories, formulas, and elements that must be memorized make chemistry subjects considered complicated especially if it is not accompanied by the selection of an appropriate learning model, it certainly affects the student learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the Learning Cycle 7E learning model on buffer material on the learning outcomes of Class XI students of SMA N 2 Langowan by using independent variables (Learning Cycle 7E) and dependent variables (learning outcomes). The research sample is students of Class XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA 2 in SMA N 2 Langowan, the sample is determined by the Simple Random Sampling technique. The research method used is Quasi Experiment Design with Posttest-only Control Group Design research design. Testing of research instruments (post test) consists of validity and reliability tests. Data analysis method uses homogeneity test, normality test and t-test. Based on the analysis of the data it was found that the sample was homogeneous and normally distributed, t-test data at the real level (α) = 0.05 was obtained tcount = 9,489 and ttable = 2,042. Because tcount> ttable, reject H0 and H1 are accepted. Based on the results of the study concluded that there was an influence of the Learning Cycle 7E learning model on the buffer solution material on the learning outcomes of Class XI students of SMA N 2 Langowan with an average learning outcome in the experimental class 80.00 and the control class 35.59.

Abstract

This research is experimental design was posttest only control group design. Determination of the sample using techniques random sampling and obtained two classes with the number of each class of 33 students. Experimental class 3 XII IPA and 4 XII IPA control class. The research was conducted to find out the result data inquiry learning model on the material colligative solution on the results of class XII student IPA at SMA Negeri 1 Airmadidi. The purpose of this study was to see increase learning outcomes students using inquiry model learning on the material colligative solution. Results of the study were analyzed to test the hypothesis (t test) at α = 0.05 was obtained tcount> ttable ie 3.15 > 1.66 means H1 received and there is a real increase, the result of learning to use inquiry learning model. As well as describing the average ratio of student learning outcomes using the experimental class higher inquiry learning model 80.00, compared with the control class that uses the conventional learning model that is 68.18.

Abstract

Practicum guides are printed teaching materials that students can use in the learning process. This development research aims to determine the feasibility of an acid base-based practicum guide for environmental materials with a 3-D model and to improve student learning outcomes through practicum activities and the application of guided inquiry methods. The subject of this research was class XI IPA 1 at SMA Negeri 1 Tenga. The feasibility test for large groups has an average percentage of 88.24% which means that this practical guide is suitable for use with valid qualifications. Student learning outcomes using post test scores with the technique of statistical analysis of one sample t-test (one sample t-test). The results of the one-sample t-test hypothesis at a level of α = 5% were obtained tcount = 4.604> ttable = 1.708. The results of this study indicate that the guidelines for acid-base-based practicum for environmental materials are appropriate to be used in chemistry learning, and the use of acid-based practicum guides for environmental materials with the application of guided inquiry methods can improve student learning outcomes in acid-base material

Abstract

Every student has different cognitive structures, but few teachers realize these differences. The purpose of this research is to identify students’ cognitive structures, which comprise of several aspects such as content, students’ prior knowledge, new knowledge and misconception when they learn from a concept map. The method used is descriptive research, conducted on 18 students at a senior high school in Manado City. The students’ cognitive structures are revealed using questions from concept map about acid-base solution. The cognitive structures are identified based on the scores obtained by each students from the concept map questions. The result shows three cognitive categories of students on the content aspect, namely poor, good, and excellent, and three categories of students’ cognitive structures, which are students’ prior knowledge, new knowledge and misconception. In general, the students’cognitives structure are categorized as good.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam pembelajaran kimia yaitu beragam pemahaman siswa terhadap suatu materi, siswa kurang memahami konsep kimia yang diajarkan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat hasil belajar siswa & menerapkan penuntun praktikum dengan menggunakan metode discovery learning. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi penuntun praktikum. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi dan angket. Hasil validasi dari beberapa ahli yang terdiri dari tiga validator mununjukan bahwa penuntun praktikum berada pada kategori valid dengan presentasi 86,84 . Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan penuntun praktikum dengan menggunakan metode discovery learning mencapai nilai KKM dan 70% siswa melampaui nilai KKM ( Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal) yang ditetapkan.

Abstract

Penuntun praktikum termasuk salah satu syarat yang sangat penting dalam melaksanakan praktikum agar praktikum dapat berjalan dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan penuntun praktikum materi redoks berbasis bahan alam dengan menggunakan model ADDIE dan untuk mengetahui kelayakan dari penuntun yang dikembangkan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode wawancara, metode observasi, serta metode angket validator dan angket respon siswa. Penelitian ini diujicobakan di kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 2 Tondano dengan jumlah siswa 25. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis proses atau pengembangan produk dan analisis data hasil kualitas penuntun praktikum. Berdasarkan persentase dari kedua validator sebagai ahli media dan ahli materi diperoleh skor penilaian persentase rata-rata 92,8% dengan kategori kelayakan sangat layak, sedangkan untuk persentase data respon siswa keseluruhan diperoleh skor penilaian 81,65% dengan kategori kelayakan sangat layak.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of visualization-based inquiry learning methods on student learning outcomes in electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution material. This research was conducted in Kawangkoan 1 Public High School, in the even semester X IPA students, 2018/2019 academic year. Class X IPA students 1 (n = 31) as the experimental class and class X IPA 2 (n = 32) as the control class. The test used in this study statistical t test with significance level α = 0.05 with the testing criteriat> ttable then H0 is rejected and H1 accepted. The results obtained in this test obtained tcount 5.25> ttable 1.670. This test is done not to improve student learning outcomes beyond the minimum standard of completeness criteria in school but this testing is only to see the effect of visualization based inquiry learning methods on student learning outcomes. Based on the results obtained it can be concluded that there are differences in student learning outcomes applied with conventional learning models (control class) and visualization based inquiry learning methods (experimental class)
