This research is motivated by the delivery of messages and meanings in the "Ngomong Jepang" edition of Aqua advertisements that are not conveyed in full. That way, the focus of this study, the researcher seeks to explore the messages and meanings of Aqua's "Ngomong Jepang" edition. The research method used is a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach that uses a critical paradigm. The data collection techniques in this research are literature study, documentation and interpretation. Then it can be concluded that there are 3 different meanings through Barthes' semiotic analysis contained in the "Ngomong Japan" edition of the Aqua advertisement, namely the denotative meaning, containing the incident of one of the staff welcoming delegates from Japan who failed to focus in the midst of carrying out his duties. The connotative meaning, contains the miss perception of one of the staff welcoming delegates from Japan due to mild dehydration. The mythical meaning is that a person will not focus on his work if he has not consumed Aqua mineral water. In addition, the Aqua brand is a mineral water brand that is widely recognized, even by hotel staff. This means that whatever the need for mineral water that sticks in people's minds is the Aqua brand.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of utilitarianism presented in the short story "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas" in "The Wind's Twelve Quarter" by Ursula K. Le Guin. Through an ethical approach in sociology literature, this study aims to analyze the ethical implications of collective action in achieving general happiness in Omelas. Through analysis of the sociology of literature, this study reveals the social practices of utilitarianism presented in the story. In utilitarianism through ethical theory developed by philosophers Jeremy Bentham and John Stuart Mill, argues that a good action is an action that produces as much happiness as possible for as many people as possible. In the context of this short story, society has collectively chosen to maintain general happiness by ignoring the fate of the oppressed individual. This raises deep ethical questions about the justice and morality of emotional action. This study also analyzes the attitudes of individuals who choose to leave Omelas. This action shows disapproval of the principle of utilitarianism which sacrifices one individual for the sake of broad happiness. The attitude of individuals who dare to walk raises ethical overtones about our responsibilities to society and individuals. Through an analysis of ethical theory in a literary sociology approach, this study concludes that "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas" pushes to limit the ethical boundaries of utilitarianism and change moral compromises in achieving peace. The social and psychological implications of this story awaken our awareness of the moral dilemmas associated with emotional action and raise deep ethical questions about human values and justice. Abstract

The current difficulty for Indonesians to be open to criticism and suggestions and to show appreciation for the diversity of opinions further encourages the need for the development of an academic culture in Indonesia, especially in higher education. Efforts to develop open-mindedness need to be carried out and this study suggests using peer feedback in writing classes. This study aimed to examine the perceptions of openness of German learners at the B2 language level towards peer-student feedback in students' writing skills. The findings of this mixed study proved that students were open to feedback from fellow students because they considered and used it in writing improvement. Students were also able to provide feedback that was delivered in a facilitative manner to appreciate the voice of the text writer. The results of the questionnaires distributed showed the students' positive attitude towards the feedback of fellow students and the desire to get this feedback in the future.

Abstract

Cross-study courses are one of the programs of the Independent Campus Free Learning Curriculum. One of the courses offered across study programs by the Javanese Language and Literature Education Study program is the Macapat Song Arts Course. As a beginner learner in a song course, students will of course experience several problems, namely:1) The tone in the song is different from the tone of modern music (diatonic) which is usually heard and sung. Songs use pentatonic, so adjustments need to be made. 2) There are two types of tunings that students must also master, namely pelog and slendro with a different tone too. 3) Men's and women's voices have different ranges so they require different treatment. 4) the types of cengkok/types of songs in Macapat vary greatly, making it more difficult to memorize. In effort to ensure that students outside the Javanese Language and Literature Education study program need special treatment so that it is easier for them to take courses. Researchers in this case will design an Electronic Module for the Song Arts Course so that it can help students outside the Java study program learn Macapat songs. This research using the R&D Level 1 model, namely researching, producing designs, but not testing and producing them. Validation carried out by Javanese language material experts with a score of 3.7 and validation by design experts received a score of 3.78.
