Abstract

This paper seeks to see nationalism among Banser in Magelang District. In the historical record, Multiple Ansor Movement of the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) nationalism is undoubtedly, among other things how Banser secures Pancasila and actively participates with society and government in maintaining the unity and defending NKRI. History has proven post-G 30 S / PKI eruption, GP. Ansor and Banser have been instrumental in the G.30.S / PKI crackdown. Ansor Multipurpose Group is the core force of Ansor Youth Movement as a cadre of movers, caretakers and security of social programs of Ansor Youth Movement. The aforementioned cadres are members of the Ansor Youth Movement that have qualifications: Discipline and high dedication, strong physical and mental resilience, mental and religious as the bastion of the ulama and can realize the ideals of Ansor Youth Movement and the common good. Based on the results of this study found that the attitude of Banser nationalism in the willingness to sacrifice can be realized by helping friends and others with sincerity without expecting any reward, able to prioritize the public interest rather than personal interests, and willing to defend the nation and state. In the context of Diklatsar Banser, there is a great need for awareness to raise citizens who are dedicated to the nation and state.[Tulisan ini berupaya melihat nasionalisme di kalangan Banser di Kabupaten Magelang. Dalam catatan sejarah, nasionalisme Barisan Ansor Serbaguna (Banser) Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) sudah tidak diragukan lagi, di antaranya saat bagaimana Banser mengamankan Pancasila dan berpartisipasi aktif bersama masyarakat serta pemerintah dalam menjaga keutuhan dan mempertahankan NKRI. Sejarah telah membuktikan pasca meletusnya G 30 S/PKI, GP. Ansor dan Banser telah berjasa dalam penumpasan G.30.S/PKI. Barisan Ansor Serbaguna adalah tenaga inti Gerakan Pemuda Ansor sebagai kader penggerak, pengemban dan pengaman program-program sosial kemasyarakatan Gerakan Pemuda Ansor. Kader dimaksud adalah anggota Gerakan Pemuda Ansor yang memiliki kwalifikasi: Disiplin dan dedikasi yang tinggi, ketahanan fisik dan mental yang tangguh, penuh daya juang dan religius sebagai benteng ulama dan dapat mewujudkan Gita-cita Gerakan Pemuda Ansor dan kemaslahatan umum. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini didapat bahwa sikap nasionalisme Banser dalam aspek rela berkorban dapat diwujudkan dengan cara membantu teman maupun orang lain dengan ikhlas tanpa mengharapkan imbalan apapun, mampu mendahulukan kepentingan umum daripada kepentingan pribadi, dan bersedia membela bangsa dan negara. Di dalam konteks Diklatsar Banser, amat dibutuhkan kesadaran untuk membangkitkan warga negara yang penuh dedikasi terhadap bangsa dan negara.]

Abstract

This paper discusses three important thing related to deism, especially deism that developed in England. First, the emergence deism is started by Edward Herbert ideas in 1624, as consequence  and influence of the situation and condition at that time. Second, it is the growth of deism in early seventeenth century, especially by the influence of philosophy that developed by John Locke. Third, it is the rapid decline of deism after second half of seventeenth century because of David Hume's skepticism. This paper will start by the description of definition of deism, characteristic, and historical development of deism, followed by the explanation of main background that influenced its emergence. Moreover, this paper will move to the proponents of deism and their ideas which are include three different eras: the era of pioneering  from Herbert to Blount (1624-1695); the era of glory from Toland to Tindal (1696-1741); and the era of declining fromAnnet to Bolingbroke (1742-1770).

Abstract

This paper intends to explore further about the freedom of women in customary law Megow Pak Tulang Bawang in Kampung Menggala, one of which is about the non- customary party (PNA). As for the rules or customary law within the PNA, regulat- ing the boundaries between men and women should not be adjacent. However, the reality of PNA is currently losing its existence. Most of the women in Kampung Menggala no longer apply PNA custom rules. Judging from the sharing of events, PNA began to be abandoned; even some of them (women) considered the PNA was taboo. On that basis, this article wants to analyze using the theory of power relation Michel Foucault. Through that theory, as a result, the shift of the paradigm of women in interpreting customary law (PNA) is characterized by freedom. The knowledge produced by women has resulted in the discourse of freedom. In the end, the freedom as a form of women’s resistance from customary rules that had been shackling the existence of women in Kampung Menggala. Resistance is a form of power of women.[Tulisan ini bermaksud melakukan eksplorasi lebih jauh mengenai kebebasan perempuan dalam hukum adat Megow Pak Tulang Bawang di Kampung Menggala, salah satunya yakni mengenai pesta non adat (PNA). Ada pun aturan atau hukum adat di dalam PNA, mengatur batasan antara laki-laki dan perempuan tidak boleh berdekatan. Namun, realitanya PNA saat ini kehilangan eksistensinya. Sebagian besar perempuan di Kampung Menggala tersebut tidak lagi mengaplikasikan aturan adat PNA. Dilihat dari berbagi tempat perhelatan pun, PNA mulai ditinggalkan, bahkan sebagian dari mereka (perempuan) menganggap PNA sudah tabu. Atas dasar itulah, artikel ini ingin menganalisis menggunakan teori relasi kuasa Michel Foucault. Melalui teori tersebut, sebagai hasil yang di dapati, adanya pergeseran paradigma perempuan dalam memaknai hukum adat (PNA) yang ditandai dengan kebebasan. Pengetahuan yang diproduksi perempuan sehingga melahirkan wacana kebebasan. Pada akhirnya, kebebasan tersebut sebagai bentuk resistensi perempuan dari aturan adat yang selama ini membelenggu eksistensi perempuan di Kampung Menggala. Resistensi tersebut sebagai wujud kuasa perempuan.]

Abstract

It is an interesting thing to explore globalization as an era of trade growth between nations and a massive single economic system that is universal today. The single system is called neo-liberalism, which is a system that promotes increasing profits by the way of the free market. This system is expected to eliminate economic disparities between continents, nations, races, ethnics and languages  inshared prosperity. The negative effects of globalization and neo-liberalism are not local or regional issues, on the other hand, globalization and neo-liberalism 'monster' that are ready to exterminate anyone who gets in his desire. Nevertheless, the analysis of class conflict for today is increasingly unclear; however, the class war is shifted increasingly wider into State class. This is the urgency of the studies in this paper tries to analyse globalization, neo-liberalism and the threat of dehumanization of human life in this modem era.

Abstract

As a new perspective that brings great influence in the study of contemporary Religion, the presence of hermeneutics in turn also influences the study of Islam. The presence of hermeneutics in Islamic studies is of course originated from the character of Islamic thought, as almost all types of religious thought, which tend to be multi-interpreted. The following text is generally more likely to see the influence of hermeneutics on Islamic Studies and more specifically its influence on the interpretation of the Qur’an.[Sebagai sebuah perspektif baru yang membawa pengaruh besar dalam studi Agama kontemporer, kehadiran hermeneutika pada gilirannya juga berpengaruh terhadap kajian Islam. Kehadiran hermeneutika dalam kajian Islam ini tentu saja berawal dari karakter pemikiran Islam, sebagaimana hampir semua jenis pemikiran keagamaan, yang cenderung bernuansakan multi-interpretasi. Abstract

This writing will specifically explore the thought ofTGH Umar Kelayu a teacher of teachers in Lombok and surrounding area. TGH Umar Kelayu is well known in various Islamic studies, such as Quran, hadits, tauhid, tasawuf, nahwu, sharaf, balaghah. By focusing in text called Manzarul Amrad ff Bayani Qith 'atin Mina! I tiqddi can be concluded that the tauhid's thought ofTGH Umar Kelayu is including to Ahlussunnah wal Jama' ah, i.e. based on the Asy' ariyah and Maturidiyah. According to the content of basic tauhid's material of the text, the target audiences ofTGH Umar Kelayu are the common Muslim, since the basic tauhid is important to the Muslims. The text Manzalu Al-Amradi fi Bayani Qith 'atin min al- 'Iqtiqddi explicates tauhid briefly in three divisions. First part explains wajib, mustahil, and jaiz character ofAllah; second part explains wajib, mustahil, and jaiz character of the prophet; and third part explains the rukun iman. All this parts are explained briefly, shortly, and clearly with their dalil naqli and aqli with the real examples.

Abstract

There is a strong impression on some that the Islamic philosophy is unoriginal, just a duplication of Greek philosophy, and has become extinct or no longer found in modern day development. According to the authors, such an impression and other negative impressions similar to it need to be evaluated and reviewed. The impression is very reductive and less proportional in assessing the existence of Islamic philosophy. One way is to put Islamic philosophy in its distinctive historical context. The author consid- ers that the use of the word $ikmah to define philosophy in the Islamic world implies a distinctive context that surrounds the birth and development of philosophy in the Islamic world, and at the same time exhibits its characteristics. This paper will try to explore and explore more in the context in question, so that the realization of philosophy in the Islamic world can photographed in a more fair and whole.[Ada kesan yang kuat pada sebagian kalangan bahwa filsafat Islam itu tidak orisinal, sekedar duplikasi dari filsafat Yunani, dan telah punah atau tidak ditemukan lagi perkembangannya pada masa modern ini. Menurut penulis, kesan semacam itu dan kesan negatif lainnya yang senada dengannya perlu dievaluasi dan ditinjau ulang. Kesan tersebut sangat reduktif dan kurang proporsional dalam menilai keberadaan filsafat Islam. Salah satu caranya adalah dengan meletakkan filsafat Islam dalam konteks kesejarahannya yang khas. Penulis memandang bahwa penggunaan kata %ikmah untuk mendefinisikan filsafat di dunia Islam menyiratkan adanya konteks khas yang mengitari kelahiran dan perkembangan filsafat di dunia Islam, dan sekaligus menunjukkan karakteristiknya. Tulisan ini akan mencoba menggali dan menelisik lebih dalam konteks yang dimaksud, sehingga perwujudan filsafat di dunia Islam dapat dipotret secara lebih adil dan utuh.]

Abstract

Kalam, in general, could be stated as a study that focused to examine the central theological doctrines. By studying Kalam, it will give someone convictions based on solid arguments, not easily distracting by the change of time. Theological metaphysics is one of subject matter in Kalam. Metaphysics in Kalam supposed a certain level of understanding towards "God"; that assumed "God" could be understood. The equivocal term such as "being" (wujud) will obscure the understanding to that "being" should be translated to "existence"  (mawjud), as consequence  therefore "God" become "the permanent" (al-tsabit). Inrelation to Kalam, religious experience has a function as a spiritualvision benefactor in Kalam understanding. Profound appreciationthrough heart (dzauq and wijdan) to study of tauhid or Kalam make this study more appreciate and applicate in attitude. For that reason, religious experience is the perfection of study of tauhid from the perspective of religious experience; it is spiritual application from study oftauhid. This writing analyse the theological metaphysics by religious experience that is lack of attention according to the writer.

Abstract

Through his magnum opus, The Structure of Scientific Revolutions, Thomas Kuhn formed an idea of scientific development framework throughout the shifting paradigm by its stage and hierarchy that are capable to revolutionize history and philosophy of science. This scientific development's model that Kuhn presented is important espe• cially when it is placed in epistemological outline, therefore to find its relevance in various scientific fields, as well as in Islamic sciences. In Quranic studies for example, Kuhn's theory could be converted into a theoretical frame to analyze shifting paradigm of Quranic interpretation from various periods. This writing in particular examines this issue, i.e. the relevance ofThomas Kuhn's scientific revolution's theory in Quranic studies. The early assumption of this study is that the Quranic interpreters definitely employ paradigm intheir analysis, because it is inherently in their interpretation theory, intentionally or not, be used in constructing an interpretation.

Abstract

Abu Abd al-Rahman Al-Sulamī (d. 412 H) is known as a great Sufi scholar. In the realm of tasawuf, he formulated tasawuf as in al-muqaddimah fi al-tasawwuf and wrote the biographies of the Sufi scholars in his book Thabaqat al-Sufiyyah. The tasawuf review in the form of biography of the Sufi ulama gives a distinctive picture in the process of formulating the concept of tasawuf. On the other hand, although al-Sulamī is known as a tasawuf briliant thinker, in Indonesia, it turns out to be less prestige than his pupil named al-Qusyairi. In fact, al-Sulamī is al-Qusyairi’s teacher who actually has more scientific authority than his pupil. This fact can be caused by many factors, one of which is the lack of information and references to al-Sulamī.
