Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO 2013), the prevalence of anemia in the world ranges from 40-88%. The number of pregnant women (10-19 years) in Indonesia is 26.2%, consisting of 50.9% men and 49.1% women (Choiriya, 2015). The prevalence of anemia in pregnant women in Muaro Jambi has been reported by Kalsum and Halim in 2015 were 67% with the main cause being the lack of the habit of having breakfast. Isaati in 2014 also reported the prevalence of anemia among pregnant women in Jambi City, which was 78.7% due to the lack of frequency of eating, consumption of tea, coffee and consumption of iron-enhancing foods. Even though Germas was only launched in 2017, it needs initiation starting from the smallest community groups such as dasa wisma, groups of pregnant women. Abstract

The gadgetis one of the current technology development used by all groups of people, including children. School-age children (7-11 years old) use a gadget since their parents are busy to work and the price of the gadget is getting cheaper due to market competition. The frequently occurred problem these days is that children often use their gadgets to play games more than studying or playing outside their house with their same-age friends.  When the children at home, it gets difficult to communicate with them, they are being indifferent and do not respond to what their parents say.  Besides, the gadget also causes a problem in children’s motor development and eye health.  This community service was conducted at a public elementary school, namely SD Negeri 21 Pangkal pinang. It was conducted in December 2019. The target was elementary level students. The method of this community service was done through an educative and creative, namely snake and ladder. The result showed a significant average value between the knowledge before (pre-test) and after the treatment (post-test) by using the educative and creative, namely snake and ladder. There was an increase in the average value of children’s knowledge after playing snake and ladder game by 18.69. It is expected that there is supervision from the family when the students use a gadget. Family is also expected to explain the information obtained by the children from the Internet and also give the children a duration when playing games using a gadget to prevent them from its negative impacts, such as vision problems.

Abstract

Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia is still high compared to other ASEAN countries. MMR in Indonesia according to the 2017 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) is 305 per 100,000 live births. The global target of SDGs (Suitainable Development Goals) is to reduce the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) to 70 per 100,000 live births. While in Jambi Province in 2017 recorded maternal deaths were 29 cases. Maternal deaths that occur during 90% of pregnancy are caused by obstetric complications. Direct obstetric complications are bleeding, infection and eclampsia. Indirectly maternal mortality is also influenced by delays at the family level in recognizing danger signs of pregnancy and making decisions to immediately seek help. Delay in reaching health facilities and assistance in health service facilities. Pregnancy danger signs must be recognized and detected early so that they can be handled properly because any danger signs of pregnancy can lead to pregnancy complications. Therefore it is necessary to provide counseling to improve the knowledge of pregnant women about the danger signs of pregnancy. This community service activity was carried out by Pakuan Baru Kota Jambi Public Health Center. The time of implementation in April 2020. The target is pregnant women. Community service methods include a survey and lecture approach. The results obtained are pregnant women able to understand the danger signs of pregnancy. Abstract

Maternal and child health is one of the priority aspects to consider. Based on the results of the 2012 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS), it was shown that the neonates mortality rate in 2012 was 19 per 1000 live births. This problem arises in part related to the problem of breastfeeding. The results of the screening for the nutritional status of toddlers at the posyandu showed that as many as 11 toddlers were malnourished, this was due to the low knowledge of mothers regarding the balanced nutrition of toddlers, poor attitudes in fulfilling balanced nutrition for toddlers, and poor culture in fulfilling toddler nutrition. The main target of this program is assistance for the formation and training of Breastfeeding Mothers' Groups in an effort to improve the health status of mothers, babies and toddlers in Penyengat Olak Village, Kec. Jambi Outside the City. The output of this program is there is an increase in community participation in improving the health of mothers and children by assisting the formation of groups of breastfeeding mothers. The implementation of the activity was started with an observation of the breastfeeding mothers research group in several Penyengat Olak village which consisted of 3 breastfeeding mothers' groups, namely in the RT. 18, RT 19, and RT 20. Each group consists of 10 people consisting of pregnant women and nursing mothers. It is hoped that the continuity of breastfeeding mother's breastfeeding program can be maintained, even though there are many factors raised by members, such as being busy taking care of the house and children, inappropriate meeting times, long distances, and so on.
