Jubindo diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Timor. Jurnal ini terbit tiga bulan dalam setahun, yakni April, Agustus, dan Desember. Fokus dan ruang lingkup kajian Jubindo terbatas pada bidang bahasa Indonesia, sastra, dan pengajarannya yang meliputi: bidang linguistik bahasa Indonesia atau bahasa daerah di Indonesia, yang terdiri atas: fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis, semantik, pragmatik, analisis wacana, sosiolinguistik, psikolinguistik, etnolinguistik, linguistik forensik, dan bidang linguistik lainnya. bidang sastra Indonesia atau sastra daerah di Indonesia, yang terdiri atas: teori sastra, apresiasi sastra, kritik sastra, sejarah sastra, dan tradisi lisan. bidang pengajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia, yang terdiri atas: kurikulum, metode pembelajaran, media pembelajaran, evaluasi pembelajaran, keterampilan berbahasa, pendidikan karakter, dan analisis pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia lainnya.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pembelajaran bahasa indonesia sampai saat ini masih mengalami kendala. kendala ini disebabkan oleh guru belum menggunakan strategi secara matang dalam proses pembelajaran. Hal ini sangat berpengaruh dalam proses belajar mengajar dimana siswa akan kesulitan dalam memahami materi yang disampaikan oleh guru. Strategi pembelajaran merupakan prinsip-prinsip dalam pemilihan urutan pengulangan belajar dalam suatu proses pembelajaran. Penerapan strategi yang ideal memang menjadi dambaan bagi seluruh pelaksana pendidikan. Akan tetapi, dalam kenyataanya problematika tetap saja muncul dalam proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Apabila dikembalikan pada penerapan strategi yang ideal, maka problem hanya bisa muncul ketika penerapannya lepas dari tujuan pembelajaran yang akan dicapai. Selain itu, pemicu problematika yang bersifat teknis juga perlu diperhatikan oleh pelaksana pembelajaran. Problematika pembelajaran bahasa indonesia terkait dengan strategi karena karakter Masing-masing siswa atau peserta didik memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda-beda, dan alternatif solusi guru harus mempelajari karakter dari setiap siswa dalam satu kelas memiliki heterogenitas yang tinggi, maka guru perlu melakukan pendekatan secara psikologis sesuai keadaan siswa.

Abstract

Problem found in this research is about kind of meaning in Malak used by Sonbai society in Bijell village, Noemuti sub-district, Timor Tengah Utara regency. The aim of this research is to find out and describe meanings in malak lael lo’o used by Sonbai society that was analyzed by using semiotic theory of Roland Barthes. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive to describe and analyze meaning in malak lael lo’o used by Sonbai society. Based on data analysis, it was found that there are three signs that shape malak lael lo’o, they are lael lo’o (taro’ leaf), klus (cross), and pen-pene (flag).

Abstract

This research will explain about social value in novel “Pesona Cinta Si Jelita”. This research aims at analyzing social value in that novel written by Maria Cecilia. Method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. Based on the field of this research, library research is the eligible method to find data and information from books or other related references. The subject of this research is novel “Pesona Cinta Si Jelita”, while the object of this research is social value of the novel. The research result shows that there are some social values in that novel, they are social awareness, sacrificial, mercy, friendly and also admiration, by prising and admit someone’s ability. Furthermore, it can be concluded that social value is kind of wisdom gottem by cosial behavior an d social life role.

Abstract

In this research, the author wants to find our structure and function in Hasehawaka Manu Kakae in Tetun Fehan society in Forekmodok village. This research aims at describing structure and function in Hasehawaka Manu Kakae. Method used in this research was qualitative descriptive by using observation, interview with recording and note technique. The result shows that structure and function in Hasehawaka Manu Kakae consist of diction, line, couplet, voice that consists of rhyme, rhythm an other voice such as euphony and cacophony, and language style. Besides, function found in Hasehawaka Manu Kakae consists of social, educative and cultural functions.

Abstract

Concluding ability of news content is one of basic competences that should be mastered by the students at second grade of national junior high school Fatumfaun. However, based on observation toward students ability in concluding news content is still in low category. It is caused by inappropriate method used by teacher. This research aims at increasing students’ ability in concluding news content by suing discussion method in academic year 2017/2018. Class action research was used in this research by using observation, written test and scrutinize test of read news text in collecting data. Data source in this research is the students at second grade of national junior high school Fatumfaun in academic year 2017/2018. Based on research result, it is found that students’ ability in concluding news content by using discussion method in first cycle, the students get average score about 40.4 while in second cycle about 82.4 that included in very good category.

Abstract

Short story writing ability is one of basic competences mastered by the students at second grade national junior high school 1 Banyuputih. Based on observation, that ability is still in low category. It was because the teacher does not use learning media. This research aims at increasing stundets aility in short story writing by using song presentation media. Method used in this research was class action research by using observation, interwieew, questionnaire and test in collecting data. Data source was fourty students at second grade national junior high school 1 Banyuputih in academic year 2012/2013. The result shows that in pre cycle, it was found that students’ learning past score is only about 55 %, while in first cycle, it becomes 75 %. Besides, in second cycle, students’ past score increase about 90 %

Abstract

Writing is one of language comprehensions used to indirect communication to other people. Narration writing skill is one of language comprehension aspects taught in Indonesian language teaching. Narration writing skill of students at first grade of SMPN Satap Heut Utan is still in low category. Furthermore, it is necessary to find solution to increase writing skill. This research aims at increasing narration writing skill using constructivism theory to those students in academic year 2017/2018. Method used in this research class action research to describe students’ comprehension in writing narrative text by noticing mark, spelling, diction, sentence arrangement and paragraph developing. Based on analysis, it can be concluded that, narration writing skill of those students is increasing. It can be shown by narration writing score by using five aspects with score 1 % for mark, 2 % for spelling, 3 % for diction and vocabulary, 4 % for sentence arrangement and 5 % for paragraph developing.

Abstract

The interest in learning foreign students about Indonesian is high. This can be seen at least from the number of foreign students studying at the Ahmad Dahlan University Darmasiswa Program (UAD), especially in the 2016/2017 academic year (TA). This fact is certainly interesting to study more considering that Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) is a rapidly developing scientific field. The purpose of this study is to describe the literacy of BIPA UAD Darmasiswa Program containing Indonesian language and culture. The method of collecting data in this study is the observation method with the technique of reading and recording. Data is taken from photos and descriptions of lecture activities in the classroom and outside the UAD Darmasiswa Program class. The results of this study indicate that BIPA student literacy The UAD Darmasiswa Program with Indonesian language and culture is carried out inside and outside the classroom. Activities in the classroom include lectures on Indonesian language skills and culture, while activities outside the classroom include mankakrida activities at Borobudur Temple, Imogiri Tomb, Chocolate Monggo Factory, Batik Mekar, and others. With these activities, the BIPA Darmasiswa UAD students became more aware of Indonesian language and cultural knowledge and skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the struggle for gender equality carried out by female character in Okky Madasari's novel entitle Entrok using the study of literary feminism. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with content analysis method which aims to determine the content and meaning contained in the data analyzed. The activities carried out were reading, observing, interpreting, and analyzing Okky Madasari's Entrok. The data sources in this study is Okky Madasari’s novel entitle and relevant literature. The data is gained by reading, taking note, and literature review. The results of this study can be concluded that there is gender equality and discrimination towards female character in the novel Entrok.

Abstract

Remedy is education service given to the students to improve their learning achievement to get pass score criteria. This research aims at increasing students’ pass score of short story material at second grade students of junior high school Dharma Bakti St. Pulus Oelolok that is about twenty people. Research result shows that thirteen students or about 80 % get learning pass score while seven students or about 40 % in the opposite site. Then, those students who did not pass the score was given remedy at shape grouping material, make the story plot, and find background in the short story. Final result shows that five students or about 80 % are in good category and two students are in very good category. Furthermore, it can be concluded that remedy has positive effect that can increase motivation and learning achievement to get pass score.
