Abstract

Artikel ini dibuat berdasarkan hasil penelitian tentang repoduksi ornamen tradisional Minangkabau berbasis cetak (precast). Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membuat sebuah deskripsi tentang makna simbol yang terdapat dibalik corak ornamen tradisional Minangkabau siriah gadang dan relefansinya terhadap filosofi kehidupan masyarakat Minangkabau saat ini. artikel ini dirangcang menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan estetika tradisional, dan semiotika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motif hias siriah gadang sebagai sebuah ornamen tradisional dapat dipandang sebagai sebuah simbol yang melambangkan sistem komunikasi masyarakat Minangkabau dalam menata kehidupan bermasyarakat, siriah gadang adalah lambang sikap yang memperlihatkan keramah-tamahan masyarakat Minang dalam menjalin hubungan kemasyarakatan. Sikap ramah ini bukan hanya berlaku di dalam lingkungan masyarakat Minangkabau saja, akan tetapi juga berlaku pada kelompok masyarakat di luar wilayah budaya Minangkabau itu sendiri.

Abstract

Most of the children in the Al Ihsan Orphanage and the Aisyiah Nanggalo Orphanage in Padang do not yet have adequate skills, so that if they leave the orphanage they are afraid that they cannot be independent. For this reason, they are fostered by providing various types of skills as a means of life, so that they can leave the institution and can even create new jobs. Unfortunately the skills given in this institution are very limited and not varied. Factors that cause the lack of variety in the types of skills provided or carried out at this orphanage are; 1) lack of experts from various types of skills and 2) lack of funds for implementation, even though there is assistance from the government and the community but not enough. The types of skills that are often carried out are sewing sewing, while the type of crafting skill has never been given. Though most orphanage children (57%) have artistic talent. For this reason, the leadership of the institution hopes that there will be training in the manufacture of handicrafts for their caregivers Based on the above problems, it was agreed with the two leaders of the Orphanage partners, that the priority issues to be resolved were related to the lack of children's skills, especially craft skills. The solution offered to overcome this problem is to do craft skills training. The type of craft given is card weaving craft. The results of this activity are that in general (81.25%) the children of the Al Ihsan and Aisyiah orphanages in Nanggalo Padang District have the ability to make hand-woven card crafts in good categories

Abstract

The development of Kudo dance is a phenomenon that occurs in the Kerinci region, the Kudo dance dance is not only presented as a tradition value that is not recognized, but is a traditional dance that is recognized by ninik mamak holders of the legitimacy of Kerinci culture, by contributing to the people This custom then the presence of the Rantak Kudo dance is recognized as a traditional dance from them. Although in plain view this dance is not a dance that fully uses traditional tools. This objective reality is used as a presentation in this film entitled Mahantak Kudo. It is expected that the concepts that will be carried out such as the exploration of dancers and the role of the mamak ninik and traditional management of the preservation of dance are able to enrich the meaning and culture, especially in Indonesia. The film is expected to be able to rationalize a cultural phenomenon that is interpreted creatively. This objective reality is used as the main material in the production of documentary films in the style of Cinema Verite. The work will be interpreted by applying the aesthetic concept of the director, so that a new perspective for connoisseurs will be created which results from the aesthetic concept of the workman without changing the substantive aspects of the Kudo dance dance itself.

Abstract

The implementation of art education in public schools, especially at the level of secondary education, must be based on the principle that art education is an educational vehicle and builds student creativity. Orientation of Art and Culture / Fine Art subjects in junior high schools is to facilitate emotional, intellectual, physical, conception, social, aesthetic, artistic and creativity experiences for students by conducting creative and creative activities on various products around students that are beneficial to human life. The selection of the right media in creating art for students is the right thing for the creation of creative works and will also make students more interested in learning and will be fun. But in practice, the subject of Cultural Arts is often replaced with other subjects because many teachers do not master the Culture and Arts learning material. The reality in the field, especially learning in the field of Fine Arts and skills, is confronted with various problems, including the quality of the expertise of the teaching staff and the learning time at each meeting in a very short class. This makes it difficult for teachers to finish the material outlined by GBPP: and ultimately results in the problem of learning material being confused because it is often changing. PKM is focused on training the teacher in the matter of mastery of the material and alternative materials that can be used for practicum in Fine Arts learning. One of the efforts in the development of media for work that is fun for students is to make 3-dimensional calligraphy works of paper pulp. In this case the teachers will be taught how to utilize used paper material that is processed into paper pulp, to make mummy or applied artwork that is relatively easy to teach to junior high school students and relatively requires a relatively short amount of time. The determination of priority issues is carried out jointly between the Implementation Team and the Partner Leaders. Problem solving is done by the method: (1) lectures, (2) demonstrations / demonstrations, and (3) training with the guidance of the instructors and ends with questions and answers. The target activity output targets are: (1) publishing training articles (2) increasing partner teacher understanding of understanding, techniques and processes that are quite simple in utilizing pulp, and (3) producing products / works: at least each participant produces two or three Fine art works in the form of 3-dimensional calligraphy.

Abstract

Mascot Geni is the visual icon which gives design for visual communication to make reading interested to go to the Library and Archival of Sumatera Barat. Design a Mascot Geni is illustrated with book anatomy, deta and shoe. Book as body of Maskot Geni has meaning as science, then deta in the head has meaning as thought symbol and culture of Minangkabau. Last, shoe has meaning that tell reading is the fun adventure which is from one book to another books. In the way to create Mascot Geni is made by doig research of observation methodology, technic of collected data which makes, thr writer went to the library and archival of Sumatera Barat. Then, interviewed were conducted with head of service division in the Library and Archival Sumatera Barat. Documentation ti get data from books that has relevant, journal and picture. After that, Mascot Geni can be used as media for Billboard, X Banner, Sticker, Calender, Flax Change, T-Shirt, Clock and Mug. Eight of the media can support to promote Mascot Geni which persuade society especially children and teenager to come to the Library and Archival of Sumatera Barat.

Abstract

Abstrac The creation of a painting with the theme "umah lahiek kerinci as a painting art idea" is a painting inspired by a traditional house of kerinci district, commonly called kerinci tribe house. Umah lahiek is a traditional residential house of kerinci tribe society which has a long lined pattern of connecting between one house and the house beside it. The pattern of umah lahiek as a long house is divided into several plots inhabited by one batih family (batik in the sense of husband and wife and their children), the order of this batik family according to the belly system, kelebu, tumbi. It means that in the social life of their families and their rabbits together, they have lived together in harmony, peace, mutual peace, mutual trust and respect between them, the rabid community has a strong sense of religion and kinship and fanaticism of customs, kerinci can also survive with the nature of his instincts, namely honest, obedient, helpful help, a very prominent sense of brotherhood and kinship, which can be seen when they work on rice fields and build homes. The interest in kerinci's home is to express ideas of aspiration to work in painting using the concept of reinterprestation and also to apply important social values in the daily life of kerinci community. And also the legacy that should be preserved and developed. The social life of the people who inhabited the house was touching the artist's heart to create a work of art. Because, this work of art not only to convey the message but to apply the values of humanity in the past through artwork.

Abstract

Unfortunately the skills provided at this orphanage are very limited and less varied. The factors causing the variety of types of skills provided or implemented in this orphanage are; 1) lack of expertise from various types of skills and 2) lack of funds for its implementation, although there is assistance from the government and the community but it is not sufficient. The types of skills that are often provided especially for men are sewing and carpentry sewing. While the types of skills related to art have never been given. Whereas most of the children's homes (62.1%) have artistic talent. For this reason, the head of the orphanage expects training in screen printing skills for their foster children. The solution offered to overcome this problem is to conduct practical skills training, namely screen printing. The provisional result of this activity was that in general (84.65%) the children of the Aisyiah orphanage, Bukittinggi City son, had the ability to print well with green printing techniques.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan program penerapan IPTEKS kepada pemuda/pemudi Pasca Rehab Korban Penyalahgunaan Nafza (Narkoba)di Kel. Dadok Tunggul Hitam Padang, agar dapat memahami konsep dasar, prinsip-prinsip cetak screen/sablon dan proses pengembangannya, membantu pemuda/pemudi mengembangkan desain, fungsional, argonomis, estetis, dan ekonomis. Kerangka pemecahan masalah yang ditawarkan adalah pemberian materi wawasan desain dan keterampilan pengembangan desain cetak screen/sablon. Metode yang digunakan meliputi metode ceramah, Tanya jawab diskusi, demostrasi, latihan terbimbing dan resitasi. Kalayak sasaran adalah pemuda/pemudi putus sekolah Pasca Rehab yang memiliki kemampuan dasar membuat desain dan dapat menggunakan perangkat cetak sablon, dengan jumlah 15oarang. Hasil akhir dari rangkaian pelaksanaan menunjukkan bahwa secara umum adanya peningkatan wawasan desain. Hal ini dinilai dari kualitas jawaban yang diberikan pemuda/pemudi sesudah mengikuti penyajian materi desain cetak screen/sablon. Selanjutnya, adanya peningkatan kemampuan merancang desain dengan menggunakan perangkat cetak screen/sablon dinilai dari kualitas hasil cetak yang lansung pada baju kaos untuk digunakan oleh pemuda/ pemudi yang khasuntuk Korban Penyalahgunaan Nafza (Narkoba) di Kel. Dadok Tunggul Hitamtersebut.

Abstract

An orphanage is one of the means of protection and guidance for orphans, orphans and orphans and neglected children. This container is independent, which is sheltered under a foundation, one of which is Aisyiyah. The Aisyiyah Foundation provides facilities for sons and daughters with adequate facilities such as male and female dormitories, places of worship, sports and equipped with a well-organized management structure. In addition to formal activities that must be attended by orphanage children through school, it is also equipped with non-formal activities outside school hours which are more focused on efforts to equip children with several skills as a provision for them to be able to live independently in the midst of society. Besides providing skills for orphanage children is an effort to improve the quality of human resources (HR). One effort that can be done is to help orphanage children to develop skills in the field of textile crafts, namely batik with the application of traditional carving motifs on fashion products, table cloths, headscarves, paintings with a variety of shapes and sizes. This batik skill activity is very beneficial for orphanage children as a provision for them to become entrepreneurs later, if they are no longer the responsibility of the Foundation. To achieve the target as expected, this activity is carried out using the design, counseling, training and mentoring methods, so that each participant produces a product / work of Batik in the form of a table mat and wall decoration that has artistic value and is worth selling.

Abstract

The subjects of Cultural Arts and Skills / Crafts (SBdK / P) in Elementary Schools (SD) in accordance with the 2013 curriculum consist of fine arts, craft skills, music, dance, and drama. Learning SBDK / P in Elementary Schools is the most effective means for children's personal formation. Through this education rational, emotional, and motor activities will be met. The development of these three abilities is very important for the world of children's education, because SBDK / P education has a multilingual, multi-dimensional, and multicultural nature. Therefore teachers who teach arts and culture education and skills need to organize it well, so that learning objectives can be achieved optimally. The main problem in implementing SBDK / P learning, especially skills / craftsmanship is the lack of teacher's ability in the arts and crafts. This is generally felt by elementary school teachers, including SDN 08 and SDN 16, Mandiangin District, Koto Selayan Bukittinggi. Based on preliminary information that learning SBDK / P, especially fine arts and crafts has not been implemented well. The implementation of SBDK / P learning materials by teachers in SDN 08 and SDN 16 in particular was caused by the teachers not having a background in arts and crafts education. Besides that, opportunities for teachers to improve the ability of the arts and crafts outside of teaching tasks are relatively never found. Based on these problems an effort should be made to improve the ability of Elementary School teachers, especially in SDN 08 and SDN 16 Mandiangin Subdistrict, Koto Selayan Bukittinggi so that the implementation of SBDK / P learning, especially crafts / crafts, can be carried out properly the competencies expected by students can be achieved. In an effort to improve the ability of these teachers is to implement the Community Partnership Program (PKM) in particular providing training in woven crafts and montage artwork.
