Abstract

This study aims to determine the understanding of the meaning of the evaluation of teaching supervision of Catholic religious education, the objectives and principles of evaluating the supervision of Catholic religious education teaching, the evaluation methods of teaching supervision of Catholic religious education, the aspects evaluated in the supervision of Catholic religious education teaching, and the results obtained from the evaluation of teaching supervision activities for Catholic religious education. This study used a qualitative method with a multi-case study type. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation studies, and conceptually inductive analysis. The results obtained were the inequality of concepts regarding understanding between one school and another about the meaning, objectives and principles, methods, aspects that were evaluated, and the results obtained from the evaluation of the supervision of Catholic religious education teaching. It was found that there were supervisors who really understood the concept of evaluating teaching supervision correctly, but there were also those who lacked or even misunderstood the concept of evaluation of teaching supervision in question.

Abstract

This study aims to examine whether the need of students can affect the process of self-actualization of children at Paud Santo Vincentius A Paulo Kupang. In this study, an analysis was carried out on each indicator of the variable need of students and the variable of the child's self-actualization process so that it can be seen whether there is an influence relationship between the two variables. The population of this study consisted of 66 people: PAUD managers, teachers, and parents. The research sample was taken using the saturated sample technique. The result of the descriptive statistical analysis showed that the student's need was categorized as good with a score of 73.32%, and the self-actualization process was also in a good category with a score of 69.71%. The result of the partial effect test shows that there is a positive and significant influence between student's needs on the process of self-actualization of children at Paud Santo Vincentius A Paulo Kupang (t test value 4.176 and sig. 0.000 <0.05). It is recommended that PAUD managers need to complete learning facilities, create an environment that supports the development of children's potential, educators need to provide guidance, assistance, and direction that motivates children to develop aspects that help actualization, parents need to be actively involved in activities that encourage self-actualization that programmed by the school in order to help children develop their potential as optimally as possible.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the impact of using visual media in faith-building and the effectiveness of the application of visual media for mentoring the candidate of the first communion at St. Parish. Simon Peter Tarus. The type of research used is action research with a descriptive method that describe the factors that are the source of strengths and successes as well as weaknesses or obstacles to the implementation of faith-building: are these factors related to the training material; the means and methods of presenting the material, the discipline factor and the attendance of the coaching participant, the participation of the participant, or due to another factor. The result showed that using the visual media method had a very positive impact. This is indicated by the results of the study, that the increase in the result of coaching/learning participants with a success rate of 75% of participants got a score of 75 as measured by test question at the end of the cycle. Based on the test result obtained by the participant at the end of each cycle, it showed an increase in the result of faith development with an achievement value of 100% (end of cycle II).

Abstract

The focus of this research is to analyze the influence of the management of pastoral service on the satisfaction of the people in region III, Santa Familia Sikumana Parish. This is due to the perception that the management of pastoral service implemented in this parish is less than optimal. The sample in this study amounted to 199 people. Data collection uses a questionnaire and document study, while data analysis uses descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The result showed that descriptively the achievement of the management of pastoral service indicator was 60.81% and people's satisfaction was 53.44%, meaning that both variables were in the fairly good category. Based on inferential statistical analysis, it is known that there is a positive and significant influence of the management of pastoral service on the satisfaction of the people of Region III Santa Familia Sikumana Parish (count value of 15.387 and sig. 0.000 value <0.05). The suggestions offered are that the parish priest needs to implement a management-based pastoral program, involve relevant parties, consistently disseminate pastoral service programs using relevant media, organize and supervise the performance of the pastoral team and parish staff; regional head needs to develop a pastoral service program in region III that are synergistic with parish programs and mobilize people to be actively involved in the program; people need to be critical-constructive towards the implementation of parish pastoral service management and participate in all existing pastoral programs.

Abstract

This research aims to examine and analyze in real terms the condition of student confidence in the Pastoral College of the Archdiocese of Kupang towards public speaking skill, inhibiting factor, and effort to increase students' confidence in public speaking skill. This research uses a naturalistic descriptive approach which is a type of qualitative research method. It is called naturalistic because this research was conducted in natural conditions, while descriptive is used to show the level of explanation or process to explain the events or phenomena being studied. The data collection technique used interview question sheets which were supported by observation sheets and documentation studies. While the data analysis technique is done by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and making conclusions. The results showed that the students had a good level of self-confidence, and had a fairly good foundation in public speaking skills. The problem is, there is often a loss of self-confidence that hinders the ability to speak in public. This is due to lack of preparation, lack of literature references, lack of studying environmental situations, including socializing. Efforts that need to be made are learning public speaking courses not only emphasizing theory but practice or practice, it is necessary to have an open space so that students are actively involved in various activities on and off-campus in order to increase confidence in their public speaking abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is as a basis for educating children in the family about ethics, to be able to know the role of parents in teaching manners to children, to shape the child's personality into a person of character, and also as an inspiration for researchers about the importance of ethics for students. children, in achieving success towards the personal character. The findings of this study are that almost all parents teach manners at home. They say that it is very important to teach manners to children and needs to be instilled so that the child's personality can become a useful person in the family and society. Courtesy education in the family is very important for the growth of children's character at school. Manners are taught for the reason that later the child's personality can become a good person or a person of character. Because manners in the family are very important and must be taught from an early age so as not to have an impact on the family when they are adults. With karma, the child's personality can maintain the good name of the family, especially parents. Character education in the context of education in schools is a type of education whose main hope is the realization of students who have moral integrity that can be reflected in everyday life. These values ​​are manifested in good interaction behavior in relationships with God, relationships with others, and relationships with God. Character education is very important and must be instilled from childhood.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of Catholic religious teachers at Taekas State High School in relation to adolescent self-control and to measure the effectiveness of these efforts in increasing the self-control of Taekas Senior High School students. Teachers are people who have knowledge, and experience, and are fully responsible for the educational process of their students by example and personality so that they can direct students to achieve educational goals. Catholic religious education is faith education that is carried out in a planned manner, strengthens students' faith in God Almighty in accordance with Catholic religious teachings, and prepares students to become useful human beings for the State and the Church. Adolescent self-control is a process of growth between childhood and adulthood, which is between the ages of 13-17 years in which a person seeks his identity and refuses to act contrary to human norms or to restrain behavior that is painful or detrimental to others. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach, where the researcher uses direct interviews with respondents as a tool to collect data. The results of the study found several efforts made by the teacher and the results obtained in improving adolescent self-control at Taekas State High School. Efforts include: first, increasing student attendance at school. Second, is the increased activeness of students in the classroom. Third, most of the students are orderly by school rules and regulations. Fourth, increasing student achievement results. Fifth, student behavior is in accordance with what is expected so that unwanted things do not happen.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was: (1) to find out how the situation of Catholic Education and the Character of Non-Catholic Students in SDK St. Joseph 3 Naikoten II Kupang and (2) to find out whether Catholic Education has a positive and significant effect on the character of Non-Catholic Students in the SDK St. Joseph 3 Naikoten II Kupang. The research method used is quantitatively deductive. The study population was non-Catholic students of class IV-VI SDK which amounted to 41 people. Using saturated sampling techniques, researchers focused on 41 respondents. The results of descriptive statistical analysis showed that the Catholic Education variable with 18 statement items obtained a total answer value of respondents to Non-Catholic students in grade IV-VI, which was 83% in the good category and the Character variable of Non-Catholic Students with 22 items of total statement of respondent's answer value of 84% was in a good category. A simple linear regression test obtained the variable coefficient value of Catholic Education (X) of 1,162 and the value (Sig) of The Catholic Education Variable of 0.000 so that it was concluded that Catholic Education has a positive and significant influence on the character of Non-Catholic students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between the implementation of learning supervision techniques with the functions and principles of learning supervision at SD Xaverius A1 Ambon. This research is very relevant to improving the quality of learning supervision. The focus of this qualitative research is to determine the relationship between the implementation of learning supervision techniques with the functions and principles of learning supervision at SD Xaverius A1 Ambon. The data collection technique used in this research is by using interviews and documentation studies which are then analyzed from the perspective of the object of study. The results of the study confirm that the implementation of the use of learning supervision techniques in SD Xaverius A1 is very closely related to the functions and principles of learning supervision.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of finding out how the learning behavior of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Oebobo Kupang during the Covid-19 pandemic was described and what factors supported and hindered the learning behavior of students at the primary school in question. The research uses qualitative methods with a natural descriptive approach so that it can describe natural conditions and show processes that can explain the occurrence of the phenomenon under study. Data collection in this study was carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. While the data analysis techniques used in this study consisted of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusions. The results showed that there was a shift in the learning behavior of students at SD Negeri Oebobo 1 Kupang, especially fourth-grade students. In the online learning process, it turns out that not all students can respond in the form of appropriate learning behavior due to the Covid-19 pandemic. To overcome this problem, there needs to be cooperation between educators and parents to assist, motivate, and direct students in various aspects of every online learning activity that is carried out.
